Blue Ridge Cabin with Modern Farmhouse Decor on Private Stream

Centrally located in historic Valle Crucis, within minutes of downtown Boone, Blowing Rock, Banner Elk, Sugar Mountain and Beach Mountain. This updated cabin with Modern Farmhouse decor is situated on a magical 1.2 acres with a stream running within 20' of home, under a private bridge and into a small pond near a magnificent outdoor fireplace and sitting area.. The babbling stream can be heard from any of the sitting areas on the large wrap-around deck or from open windows in the master bedroom. Repurposed logs from an 1800s Boone cabin are used with cedar walls and tongue-and-groove ceilings throughout. The large indoor stone fireplace is gas operated at the touch of a button. Central heat and AC to be comfortable in the winter or summer. High end furnishings and TVs throughout. A relaxing, private, and comfortable space to gather with family or friends. Explore historic Valle Crucis including the Community Park and original Mast General Store just a mile down the road. Great hiking and fishing in the warmer months, skiing and other snow sports in the winter. Relax in the beautiful, private setting while enjoying the convenient location close to everything the area has to offer.

Immaculate and charming cabin close to Boone

Very charming, newly remodeled and well-maintained cabin. Has everything you’ll need and very convenient to Boone and local attractions. Fire pit is epic.

Scenic and Serene

This property was exactly as advertised; great accommodations, perfect location, and easy communication with owner. Bonuses: Beginning and ending the day with soothing sounds from the stream, perfect outdoor fireplace for s’mores and a quaint, quiet collection of homes nestled in the most perfect setting you could imagine. (The road that you enter into made for a great path to get a nice “leg day” workout in.) Trout fishing, hiking and whitewater rafting along with the best local shops were all nice day adventures. We will be back!

Great Property

Loved our stay! Location is convenient to Boone, Banner Elk and Blowing Rock. Very clean and comfortable. Well stocked as well! Anna was an excellent host and very accessible when needed. Highly recommend a stay here!

Wonderful Weekend!

This was the perfect place to stay for our annual trip to Boone with college friends. Plenty of space, very well stocked kitchen, and beautiful property. The interior was lovely, especially the stone fireplace. The brook running beside the house and the fire pit area also added to the beauty of the property.

Great place close to Boone

My friends and I have been coming to Boone for a cycling race for ten years. This location was the best lodging we have found in that time. It was convenient to Boone. The cabin was clean and had plenty of room for us all. I highly recommend.

App State Weekend

We can’t say enough great things about this lovely updated cabin. From the private property nestled next to a babbling brook that will lull you to sleep from the first floor master suite. To the high end finishings through-out which include the most comfortable memory foam mattresses we have ever slept on. This place is amazing. And it is by far one of the cleanest VRBO’s we have ever stayed in. The outdoor fireplace overlooking the water and woods was the perfect spot to end the evening with a glass of wine and roasting s’mores. It is just a short drive to downtown Boone and Banner Elk. We were in town for our daughter’s orientation at App State and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Communication with the host was seamless and she checked in on us daily to see if she could answer any questions for us. We will definitely be staying in this gorgeous cabin again.

Friends Getaway

The property was amazing! Beautiful setting both inside and out. Well-stocked kitchen and plenty of room for large family or group. The owner is very attentive to the renters and makes every effort to make the stay wonderful! Highly recommend!

Beautiful property and location

We went to Boone for a 2 days trip. Glad to chose this property. It is perfectly located in the midst of woods and a fireplace outside. We were enjoying the view of creek next to the property. Everything was clean and the host was very responsive. One thing is you need to carry the trash when you leave. It could be included in the reservation fee. The photos won’t do the justice as the property looks greater than what you see in picture.

GRADUATION CELEBRATION

We recently stayed at this cabin while attending my daughters graduation from APP State University. It was the PERFECT place for my family to celebrate and relax! The cabin is just beautiful and close to everything!! The host did an excellent job communicating and making sure we were satisfied. An EXCELLENT EXPERIENCE!!

Thanksgiving 2022

We thoroughly enjoyed this beautiful cabin for our family’s Thanksgiving. The cabin was well stocked with everything we needed and more . The host was so helpful and accommodating during the entire process of booking and during our stay at the cabin. Plenty of room for everyone to relax and unwind from exploring the area surrounding Valle Crucis. The grounds were stunning and so relaxing to sit on the massive porches and enjoy the sound of running water.

Annual Trip

We got a scare when the property transferred ownership just a short time before our stay but everything turned out really great! Anna Greta was a great host and the property was as described. We really enjoyed our stay and hope to stay again!

Comfy retreat with lots of room

We enjoyed a short stay after bike riding in Damascus. The home was large enough for our big family. We only stayed one night. We hope to rerun and stay longer. It was beautiful!

Our family loves this property because it is in a very relaxing setting, which feels remote. The stream is a lovely feature that adds to the peacefulness of the area. Despite all this, the cabin is actually very close to Boone, which offers many restaurants, coffee shops, groceries and gas. It is also just over a mile from the original Mast General Store, which my children LOVE to visit. There are no excessively steep or winding roads to access the property and snow is plowed by the HOA when needed. This makes a nice balance between convenience while still feeling like you are "away from it all".

Location is central to all activities and amenities. Minutes to Starbucks, groceries and gas, yet feels very remote. The private stream makes this property unique and truly relaxing. The outdoor fireplace with large sitting area is a wonderful space to relax and enjoy the outdoors in all seasons.
