Cute Weekend Getaway

I stayed here for one night before a wedding and was absolutely in love with the place. Clean, perfect size, and the host was incredibly sweet. I will definitely be back!

Girl's birthday weekend

The property was very nice and clean, in a great location. Very easy to travel around all the Amish villages. Kathy makes communication a breeze. Have already re ommended this location to friends. Thank you!

Cute and cozy

This was a cute and cozy little space. Missed twice as we came from the opposite side and didn’t see the side of the building and our GPS went past it. Personal preference but the bed was hard for us but to each his own and not a “negative” just a comment for others. Love the private little lounge area that made for fun evenings with hot tea or some crackers. It was a nice snowy weekend getaway. Check it out. And the town has some nice little restaurants!

Wonderful local experience

Loved the communication with the owner, giving us a personalized experience, recommendation for places to go, with a beautiful little room, perfect for couples :-) Bathroom is small but adequate, and everything was very clean and immaculately placed. Only small drawback was that there are two units on the same level, and you can hear the neighbors talking (if you're quiet). I'm a light sleeper so it depended on them being quiet (which they were, from about 11pm until 6am) in order for me to be able to sleep. Overall, highly recommend it, so much better than going to a hotel...!!!

Hi I'm Kathy. Sugarcreek has a special place in my heart. When my grandmother was 12 she and her family came from Switzerland and settled in Sugarcreek, Ohio. Many years later after I was born my family spent much time visiting the area. After moving away to the city for 20+ years God brought me back to my roots and I bought this building in 2013. With my remodeling experience, I renovated the building that now houses The Honey Bee Cafe on the main floor, Violin Lessons on the lowest level, and two Suites on the upper floor for hosting guests.

Por qué escogió este alojamiento

When I renovated the upper level, I thought this would be my forever home, turns out God had other plans and now I have a wonderful space that I'm able to share. Since the area is so large, I decided to divide it into 2 spaces so that someone needing just 1 bedroom & bathroom could have one Suite. A family or group of friends could easily spread out in the 4-bedroom areas + kitchen & living room. Of course, a family and or friends could rent the whole upstairs as well.

This is a great place to stay to be close to everything in Amish Country but you'll feel like you're pretty remote from the busy-ness if you feel like just getting away.
