Welcome to Camellia Cottage, located in the heart of Gainesville. Built in 1924 and surrounded by Camellia trees, this home has been meticulously preserved and tastefully updated. You will love the huge windows throughout, the original hardwood floors, and the beautiful natural surroundings. Enjoy the expansive backyard and patio with cornhole, fire pit, & BBQ grill. Walk to UF football games (1 mile), campus (0.5 mile). Enjoy everything Gainesville offers from this central location!
Take a step back in time as you enter Camellia Cottage. Featuring original hardwood floors and light-filled windows, this cottage style home will make you feel like you are living in the roaring 20`s—while having luxe modern decor and amenities such as a state of the art HVAC system with MERV 13 filtration, abundant hot water, and lightening-fast fiber optic WiFi.

BEDROOMS
To us (your hosts), the most important part of choosing a place to stay is ensuring a good night`s rest. We have equipped each of the three beds (two kings, one queen) with four pillows (two firm and two soft) and hotel-grade bedding to ensure you will have a peaceful night`s rest when you stay here. Each of the king rooms features a private desk that can double as a work area or vanity to get ready at.
KITCHEN
The kitchen is stocked with coffee, tea, a full-sized refrigerator, a Calphalon cook-set, and Henckels knives to prepare meals. Gather around the large antique walnut dining table that can seat up to 8 people for your favorite meal or game of Monopoly (yes, we have board games!).
TV & LIVING ROOM
During the day, enjoy the light-filled living room featuring a 60` 4K Smart TV with a soundbar and subwoofer.
If you want to get the blood pumping, step into the sunroom workout area to make use of the supplied weights, mat, and other gear to get in your vacation sweat.
OUTSIDE
If being outside is more your thing, you will love this property. Our home is surrounded by old growth camellia trees, oak trees, mature azaleas, and abundant bird life. Spend some time on the back patio under the shade reading a book, or grill out on the shared Weber grill. On cooler evenings, the firepit is a fantastic place to gather and make lifetime memories.

You will have access to the entire home. The loft is a separate structure on the same property as the main house, which is also available on Airbnb. The property is shared by both structures.
The loft and house can also be booked together for larger parties. If interested, please contact us.
The backyard, patio, and grill are shared spaces between the main house and loft guests.
We quickly respond to all messages, and are glad to answer questions or offer recommendations!
Our neighborhood is a peaceful escape in the heart of Gainesville right next to UF. Enjoy strolling the streets under the shade of majestic oak trees, or eat a peaceful lunch on the picnic benches adjacent to our neighborhood pond. If you wish to venture further, it`s a short walk to UF campus or the UF Ben Hill Griffin Stadium and Stephen O`Connell Center. You will also be walking distance (1.5 miles) to the UF Bat Houses and Lake Alice.
On busy game days, you can easily walk to the UF stadiums. You will also be in a central location to explore the rest of Gainesville and all its wonderful attractions. The house is less than a 15 minute drive to the three top breweries in Gainesville, 7 minutes from downtown, 7 minutes to the HARN and Natural History Museum, and 3 minutes to Midtown.
Please note that we deeply cherish and love this historic home and its original character. If you wish to throw a party or have a rambunctious gathering, we kindly ask for you to book another home. All we ask is that our guests follow the golden rule: do unto others as you would have them do unto you.
Our cleaner occasionally uses the laundry room and supply closet on the back of the house when the loft apartment (separate structure) needs to be cleaned. There is a clasp-style lock on the laundry room door if you wish to keep the laundry room door from the kitchen locked.
Violating any of the house rules can lead to your reservation being canceled immediately without a refund:
• We do not charge extra for additional guests. However, the number of guests staying MUST match the number of guests specified on the reservation. No unregistered guests are allowed on the property at any time.
• Pets are not allowed. Any evidence of pets may incur a $500 deep cleaning fee.
• No smoking or vaping inside or on property. Any evidence of these activities may incur a minimum $1,000 deep cleaning fee.
• We are unable to accommodate late check-out. Checking out after 10:00 AM will incur a $250 fee.
• Fires, candles, fireworks, and other open flames are prohibited
• No firearms allowed on property
• Do not move furniture
• Do not unplug, move, or tamper with electronic devices (WiFi, security system, locks, etc.)
• Parties, special events, and retreats are not allowed per City of Sedona local ordinance
• Minimum age to book a reservation is 25 years old. Additional guests may be younger.
• Guest making the reservation must have identity verified through Airbnb and a current phone number listed
• A $25 shipping and handling fee applies to items left behind
We are committed to complying with state and local regulations, which is why you will be asked to complete a guest verification process after booking.
You will receive an email and a text with a link to complete the verification. This process is completed by a third party company called Truvi. We do not see any of your private information.
Truvi will collect a damage deposit. If no damage is discovered after your stay, this deposit is fully refundable with the exception of a $10 processing fee.
Please be sure to complete this process WITHIN 24 HOURS of making your reservation. If the verification process is not completed, we cannot legally host you and we will be forced to cancel your reservation, potentially without a refund.
