You have found your perfect beach cocoon in the lovingly appointed basement apartment of this ocean-view townhome. Enjoy walking to the ocean right across the street from your patio: the beach access is only two houses down, where you can spend a glorious day on the beach. Enjoy all of the local restaurants, arts and crafts festivals, and pier fishing that Kure Beach has to offer at the Pier, only three-tenths of a mile away. Sleep is as comfortable and private as it can be with the two bedrooms separated by the efficiency living area. Beautifully updated throughout, with custom cabinetry and new fixtures, let Happy As A Clam soothe and cool your soul with its spa tones and gentle hospitality. Do you wish to bring more people? Rent Happy As A Clam as a whole house to add on two more levels of kitchen/living/ dining, 2 more bedrooms, two and a half more bathrooms, and beds for 4 more guests.



Ground Level: 

Parking pad for two cars, size dependent. Outdoor patio seating vignette. Grassy backyard. 

Shared entry door. Your private entrance door is immediately inside to the right. 

Guest Bedroom 1 with Queen bed and television in the room. 

Full hallway bathroom shared with the second bedroom.

Guest Bedroom 2 with a full-size bed with Twin trundle, a supplemental twin bed, and a TV.

Kitchenette with two burner induction cooktop and microwave, full-size stainless refrigerator, and dishwasher. Farmhouse table seating 4.

-Downstairs Unit does not have an HVAC designated thermostat. Room temperature is maintained at a comfortable temperature by the upstairs thermostat.

-The kitchenette in the lower unit has an Induction Cooktop. Pots and pans provided for the lower unit Must Remain downstairs. Pots and pans from the upstairs unit will Not Work in the downstairs kitchen. 



Parking - Shared driveway for one vehicle. No parking on the grass.



Linens - Sheets and Towels will be wrapped in sealed packages and laying on the end of the beds. 



Rental Policies:

In response to the increased incidence of credit card fraud, a valid government photo ID will be required for every reservation. A signed rental agreement is required: accepting House Rules on any online travel agency requires reading and acceptance of our rental agreement.



Things to bring:

Paper towels and toilet paper, trash bags, soaps, detergents, minimal cleaning supplies, and beach towels.



Arrival/Departure:

Summer Check-ins (June-August) begin at 4 pm and are guaranteed by 6 pm

Check-out is by 10 am. 

We adhere to this policy so please do not arrive early or plan to delay your departure.

Pet Policy:

No pets allowed.



We want to make sure you’re aware of our cancellation policy. If you cancel when your arrival date is more than 60 days away, you will receive a full refund.  If you cancel when your arrival date is less than 60 days away, you will forfeit your deposit..
