Waterfront Wonderful

We spent 24 nights in this cabin in August and September and absolutely loved it. It’s very spacious and comfortable with a great view of the lake. We enjoyed watching the seaplane activity and eating at Rudders. We look forward to staying again!

This was our 40th Anniversary trip! We enjoyed our stay here at the Waterfront cabin for 5 days. The Lake and the seaplanes, wow! It was so much fun to watch planes come and go. The restaurant was nice as well. Would stay again.

Early August 26

This is a nice place. Loved relaxing in this spacious cabin. Weather early morning coffee out on the deck or evening drink relaxing on the dock we enjoyed watching all the Seaplane activities. Hosts were amazing and ready to help with everything from suggestions for places to eat or activities occurring during our stay. Plenty of parking and was easy to find. Safeway just down the road. Five minutes to gas, groceries and/or the fishing docs. Highly recommend by us. Would absolutely stay again and again.

August 26' stay

In general, we enjoyed our stay. Great location with a view of planes and easy access to get onto the Spit and the surrounding area. The cabin was a bit dated- our friends stayed at a newer remodeled one a few years back. Lots of space was appreciated, but it can easily be redesigned into 2 beds instead of a pull-out couch and 1 bed. The lock was challenging, but once we figured it out, it was ok to deal with. The kitchen needed more amenities. We had more choices of tea, coffee, sugars, and snacks at other places we stayed on this trip. A drying rack for dishes was needed, as we were to wash our cups and dishes but had no place to put them except a clean towel we found. It did not bother us too much, but curtains would be beneficial for privacy and light blocking for some guests.

Great place!

Our stay was wonderful. The cabin was clean and comfortable, the folks were friendly, and the view of the lake and planes was lovely. The tacos next door at the Tickled Pear were delicious after a long day of bear viewing. Highly recommend this location.

Amazing location! Wonderful little home

The best locatiopn one could ask for!! Right on the water, watching sea planes take off and land, right in between main town and the Spit, so it really was a great location. Small restaurant on site, too!

Clean and spacious

My husband and I enjoyed our stay. Short drive to the spit. We enjoyed watching the planes take off and land. Would definitely stay here again.

Great dock & lake veiw

This was our 2nd stay in the Waterfront cabin. We love the view of the dock, planes, and lake. Full kitchen and the washer/dryer are nice, also the king size bed.

Lakefront stay

Great cabin with lake views. Large bedroom, kitchen, dining, and living area. Clean and well stocked with what you need. Restaurant on site....Tickled Pear.

This property is EPICALLY beautiful. The location. The building. The grounds. The lake! The staff is present and sooooo helpful. But the beds...oh lord. There is not an ounce of effort put into their comfort. They are old. They are hard...the couch bed def doesn't even count as a bed...theres a bar in the middle that just stabs you in the back. This place is so beautiful and demands to be furnished with love. It has the basics but its as if a college freshman furnished it with hand-me-downs and the basics that they could find at goodwill. There's no blackout curtains so... thats fun in the summertime when the sun never sets. We LOVED the place...like, LOVED it. But I dont think we could ever stay there again bc of how uncomfortable the sleeping situation was. I hope some love is put into the beds. God this home is beautiful. It deserves to be loved and have that shine through in the decor... at least in the comfort of the beds.

Waterfront Cabin

We are so happy with our decision to stay at Homer Seaplane Base. Our cabin was perfect for our stay. It was great to be able to do some laundry. Thank you for providing soap and dryer sheets. We loved the view and watching the planes take off and land.

Absolutely Anazing

We stayed at the waterfront cabin. Walked out the front door onto a dock where we watched sea planes take off and land. Close enough to walk to the spit (we walked the entire 4.5 miles to the end). Really nice cabin with lots of light. One of our favorite places we’ve ever stayed!

Gem on the Beluga Lake

We were pleasantly surprised when we arrived at the Waterfront Cabin. It was very spacious and well stocked. The view overlooking Beluga Lake was beautiful. It was also very conveniently located near restaurants and other activities, and especially ideal for the Beryl Air trip. The bed was roomy and cabin was very clean and well kept. We would definitely stay at this location again and would highly recommend the cabin to others.

Sea Planes

Fantastic location! Loved watching the sea planes land & take off. Very clean & spacious. I emailed for deck chairs and not 10 minutes had passed when those arrived. Would highly recommend.
