Relax and recharge at over 4000’ of elevation in our luxury rental, perfect for a family getaway or a long weekend with friends. Enjoy an evening around the firepit, watch a movie on the 85" TV, or play a game of ping pong, and experience all the wonders this location offers for your attitude.

This beautiful and spacious mountain retreat sits perched near the top of the Cotswolds on a large 1.74 acre lot backing up to the US Forest and is only 7-8 minutes from downtown Highlands.

Love the location to downtown Higlands.

The check in was wonderful as was the location to town. Beautifully furnished. Everyone enjoyed having their separate rooms and baths. The room over the garage was especially nice. All in all a great home for our party of 6 adults and 4 kids.

Wonderful stay!

We happily spent several weeks in this lovely, comfortable, and well located home. We enjoyed easy access to town and more importantly, the peaceful days on the deck. Owner is GREAT, easy to reach.

Altitude Adjustment: Amazing and Awesome!!

We were thrilled with our home away from home! Furniture was clean and looked brand new with a well equipped kitchen and lots of seating both indoors and out for our family of 11, ranging in ages from 3-78! Beds and bathrooms were roomy and comfortable. Julie was the perfect host with a ready solution for our every question. Property was very quiet with no view of neighbors. We loved the outdoor fire pit area, too!

“Exceptional” truly says so much about this incredible home. Not only is it in impeccable condition/well maintained, but the owners have beautiful taste-the home is very well and comfortably decorated and has ample, plush linens and other items to make your stay as close or better than home. The kitchen was well stocked, the home was immaculately clean, and the property and neighborhood were gorgeous. Important for us was a somewhat level lot so my 2 year old could safely play outside without us fearing him taking a fall. This property was ideal.

More than an attitude adjustment

We have been at many VRBO‘s and this one definitely takes the cake. My family has been coming to Highlands for over 40 years and they have two places nearby. The families have grown and there’s not enough space for everyone so altitude adjustment was perfect for the overflow.To top it off, the host provided two coffee thermoses with Altitude Adjustment imprinted to remind us of the lovely views and visit.

Altitude Adjustment - just what we needed!

This was such a wonderful property that far exceeded our expectations! The location was so convenient to downtown Highlands, the house was so beautiful, comfortable, and clean. The kids had a blast with the ping pong table, enormous TVs, and the swing set outside. We will definitely recommend this place to all of our friends and family traveling to Highlands, and hope to stay there again ourselves one day.

Highlands getaway

Great location (beautiful view) and management were friendly and helpful. Had a couple of issues, battery in door entry died and had to be replaced, advertised on VRBO site a hot tub and one did not exist, kitchen pots and pans were old and not adequate.

Fabulous!

What an incredible and beautiful home! We stayed over Thanksgiving and were delighted to find an impressively well stocked kitchen. The neighborhood is lovely and quiet and we enjoyed the views from the deck. The home is beautifully decorated and the rooms are spacious and beds were very, very comfortable! It was nice to be so close to downtown Highlands for shopping and restaurants. Julie, the owner, was very responsive and helpful all throughout the booking process and with any questions that came up. We hope to have the opportunity to stay at Altitude Adjustment again very soon.

Wonderful Mountain House!

We rented this house as a group of two families (4 adults, 4 kids ages 2-8). It was such a fantastic house - by far the best house we’ve rented in the area, and we highly recommend it. The location close to the center of Highlands was great. The house itself was incredibly clean, very tastefully furnished, and fully stocked. We had everything need to make it an easy stay. Our kids especially loved the swing set outside. We’d be so excited to stay in this house again any time. Thanks to the hosts for the wonderful experience!

Beautiful property

We had a wonderful family trip to this awesome Highlands home. Beautiful home and property. Bonuses for our group were the lovely yard with plenty of room for tossing a football and running around, as well as an outdoor play set for the little ones. Well equipped kitchen. Impeccably clean. Julie was very welcoming and responsive to questions. We are thrilled to have found this gem with quick access to downtown Highlands and many hikes!
