One of Chelan's most beautiful and iconic homes opens its doors to you! The Historic Chelan Chateau is in the heart of downtown Chelan & just steps to the lake, shopping, restaurants & wineries! This beautiful home built in 1910 has 4 stories, 6 bedrooms and everything you could want for your Chelan Escape. From multiple soaking tubs and a private sauna for those who like to relax to a basement media room and game room for those who like to play. The landscaped gardens, fountain & pond round out this gorgeous Lake Chelan escape!  (STR - 0435)

Originally built in 1910 and newly updated, the Historic Chelan Chateau is an iconic piece of downtown Chelan! Sitting prominently at the corner of downtown, everything is at your doorstep. Restaurants, wineries, lake access and shopping are all steps away.    


1st floor/Basement is a game and rec room with ping pong table, darts, tv and wii system. Please have your streaming passwords handy to stream TV.   


2nd and main floor has 1 TV room with queen American Leather sleeper sofa (comfy, no bar) and an office with full American Leather sleeper sofa, 2 dining rooms, kitchen and living room.   


3rd Floor has 2 en suite bedrooms (one queen, one king) and an additional queen bedroom.   


4th floor has  king en suite with a full daybed for kids in adjacent space.  


Home is appropriate for up to 12 adults and 2 children. If safety around steps is a concern for your child, this is not an appropriate home. Please ask to see virtual tour for home layout.  


Guests will be able to access the entire house. Guests cannot sleep in basement.  We live nearby and are always available for questions!  


There is parking on two sides of house. 


Walk downtown, Walk to the lake, Walk Riverwalk Park, Drive to wineries and restaurants outside the downtown area.  


The home is stocked for your arrival with 20 bath towels, 14 beach towels,  shampoo, conditioner, body wash, tissue, toilet paper, paper towels, coffee, tea and basic kitchen items.   Beds are ready and made for your arrival, except the two sleeper sofas. Clean Linens are provided for sleeper sofas. A camera is located in the front door bell aimed at the street. It records video and sound 24/7. No other cameras are located on the property.

What a great spot for 4 couples to stay for a golf weekend. This beautiful Chateau was well appointed, roomy and had everything we could want. Great spaces indoors and out. Allan was an excellent host and was quick to respond when I had questions. We will definitely stay here again.

Perfect for groups

I visited the Chelan Chateau with a group of 4 families with toddlers and infants. It was the perfect location for us. The house is huge and had plenty of space for everyone, and the location is central so everything in Chelan is walkable.Would 100% stay again on future visits to Chelan.

Great place for a family

What a great place for a family reunion. Comfortable temperatures, plenty of room, games, great kitchen. Remarkably responsive host. And, unlike any other VRBO I've been to, little touches that make you realize the host respects the guests. Great location for Chelan activities.

The house is from 1910 and has such wonderful charm. This house everything for everyone. Communication was excellent and had wonderful treats for us. The house has 3 master sweets with individual bathrooms. So, if you are looking to not share a bathroom this house is for you. Then my younger cousin and daughter used the bathroom downstairs. We were very comfortable with8 people staying there. Love have coffee on the front porch each morning in the rocking chairs and visited about the day before. This home is in excellent location. Couple blocks from the lake and downtown Lake Chelan. Easy to walk and never have to get in your car. Highly recommended.

Great 80th Birthday Party Venue

We all loved the Chateau! We had plenty of room to spread out, a kitchen that was very well stocked, and even a birthday card and cupcakes for the birthday girl. We were just a couple of blocks from town, but the house was very quiet. The owners were very responsive and accommodating! This was a treat but well worth it for our special occasion.

Lived Up to the Hype!

Being able to stay at The Chelan Chateau was an incredible treat; it's a stunning historical home in an ideal location. We were 3 families, ages 5 to 74, the layout and bedroom/space options allowed us versatility to meet everyone's needs (i.e. little one's proximity to parents, fewer stairs for different physical abilities, etc.) which optimized everyone's experience. The location was amazing we were able to walk to shops, lots of delicious food (highly recommend the taco truck) and to the river walk. Despite being alongside a busy road, the water feature drowned out much of the noise when outside and inside was remarkably quiet. The Don Morse beach was a 5ish minute drive away; members of our group walked and biked there and back easily. The house was excellently equipped; we cooked multiple meals and barbequed, made drinks and the house had everything we needed. The beds were super comfortable. There were amenities available that we didn't even know we wanted/needed like reusable ice packs for coolers, complimentary delicious cupcakes from the shop around the corner, etc. Jessie was the hostess with the mostest for my taste; very attentive and available without being invasive (I know some people are into hanging out or befriending the hosts, we are not those people). I could go on and on but I've got a life to live so I'll just add that the cleanliness was stellar, that place was spotless!

As two born and raised Chelan natives, we have both always loved this house. It's such a beautiful and iconic piece of downtown Chelan and over the years each owner has done their part to maintain and enhance the character of this property.

We are honored to be stewards of this house in its next chapter. As kids, it was always a BNB. While we are not into running a bed and breakfast, we did want to return to sharing the space with others who find its history and charm irresistible. 

If you are looking for a beautiful space in the most ideal downtown Chelan location, we'd love to share it with them.
