Ferndale Bungalow with pasture views, 5 minute walk to Downtown!

The Village Bungalow is a sweet cottage/bungalow located in a quaint neighborhood, just off of Main Street in the Victorian Village of Ferndale. The bungalow is a separate guesthouse with a private entrance, reserved parking, yard access, kitchenette, and full bathroom. Spend your days hiking among the giants in the redwood forest. Take a 10 minute scenic drive through pasture land to the rugged pacific coastline. Or simply step out your door and take a short walk uptown to enjoy our small town: art gallery, coffee shops, restaurants, and shopping!
We allow small to medium sized dogs with prior approval, with an additional fee.
We strive to make the bungalow a comfortable & relaxing environment, with all the amenities of home, including a queen size bed, wi-fi, and TV with a Roku device. Some of our local favorite items are waiting for you upon your arrival!

Had an amazing time at the Village Bungalow. A mix of sun and clouds and kind of chilly. But it was a great central spot to hit downtown Ferndale on a Thanksgiving weekend as well as Eureka, Arcata, Fortuna, and other places nearby. Everything in the house was in great shape and very welcoming. Thank you!

Such a cute little bungalow. The main room was so cozy, the electric fireplace provided the perfect amount of warmth. It was quiet and relaxing and the walk into town was very short. I

A very cozy quiet retreat! The bedroom is very small. The TV is in the kitchen sitting room with nice comfy chairs that recline. Everything you need in the kitchen for light meals. There were some extra little gifts like wine and cream from their family farm. Also loved the sprays, lotion and soap. We enjoyed being able to walk to the darling little town with the unique stores and quaint houses. We also enjoyed the redwoods and the car show while we were there. We stayed 4 nights and had a great time! Since there was only the 2 of us it was great for us! The price was fair as well. It was a safe, cozy, and very quiet place to stay.

Our stay at the Ferndale Bungalow.

This is our second stay at the Ferndale Bungalow. We always enjoy visiting Ferndale while also visiting family in Arcata. We love the garden and yard of the Bungalow, nice furnishings, new very comfortable living room chairs, comfortable bed and well appointed bath. Thank you for a great stay.

Ferndale in the Rain

Although we visited during a rainy period, we were warm and cosy in this sweet bungalow. Walking distance to town, restaurants and shops, we took advantage of dry spells. Well equipped, comfortable and convenient, we were happy . I would highly recommend this sweet sray.

Very clean and cozy! Very sweet sitting area with tv and fake fireplace, nice kitchen and bathroom with shampoos and body wash. Bed was incredibly comfy, we had a great sleep! Felt like a mini home away from home. Close walk to town with sweet shops and restaurants. Host was kind and responsive. Lives on site should you need anything. Highly recommend!

Yearly visits to Ferndale

Nestled in behind the owners home, is an enchanting little bungalow with all the comforts of home. In the fridge you will find creamer from their dairy farm and you may even be left with a local bottle of wine and chocolate. We love Ferndale, its people and this home away from home. Kris and Tammy

Good location, pasture view from carport/parking only, but beautiful gardens.

We loved our stay here. Clean, cozy place, comfortable bed, beautiful gardens to use, would have liked a table for eating. TV trays worked but worried about spilling them. Strictly for two guests.

Village Bungalow - outstanding!

We were lucky enough to find this treasure three years ago when looking for a place to stay while attending the Lost Coast Dog Shows. The Bungalow has everything one could need for a pleasurable stay. The bed is comfortable and the whole house, impeccably decorated and very clean. Highlight of stay is sitting outside watching the beautiful cows out in the pastures. Very entertaining and relaxing.

Second time, just as wonderful as the first.

We stayed here 2 years ago, under different ownership, but it is as though nothing has changed. The Bungalow is a comfortable place to stay, with wonderful views of the pastures across the lane. Hoping to return again. Thank you Joe & Alexa.
