You can also retire to the lower level where you can play pool, or soak in the hot tub. This area also features a full bar with commercial equipment such as an ice maker, drink cooler, and a 70" TV for sports and movie watching with enough room for the entire family to enjoy!
Next get out your picnic baskets, coolers, and hiking boots because The Hideaway at Crook Valley also features your own private mountain that you and the family can hike and explore. The top of the mountain features a large open are with unobstructed and unparalleled views of Spearfish all the way to the Wyoming Black Hills & prairies. The adventurous type will want to bring a tent and sleeping bags to watch the sunset over the hills and sleep out under the stars.

For the golfers in your group you will enjoy a round of golf at one of the most beautiful courses and country clubs in the black hills, Elk Horn Ridge Golf Course. This course is immaculate and offers elevated tee boxes, and a track through the valleys of the black hills that is unforgettable! The Country Club is open to the public and boasts a beautiful bar and restaurant to grab a gourmet burger and beer after your round. This course is only 5 minutes from our property with multiple ride services like Uber and Lyft to take you there if needed.

The Hidaway at Crook Valley is nestled in the Crook City River Valley where you will experience peaceful, beautiful black hills living while being only 15 minutes from downtown Historic Deadwood which features Las Vegas style gambling and night life with an old Western town feel. There are a multitude of restaurants, brew houses and winery's that you can visit and taste all of the local products that the area has to offer. Don't worry if you have a little too much fun and have to catch a cab, Deadwood offers multiple cab companies that will pick you up and drop you off, they will even offer you a cocktail in the cab for you to enjoy on the way! For all you Sturgis fans, you will be only 10 miles from the town of Sturgis and all the festivities the Rally has to offer!

If gambling isn't your thing, take a short ride to downtown Spearfish where you will find an upscale community with local restaurants featuring local ingredients, delicious food, 7 different brewery's and the Spearfish park with the famous Fish hatchery where your family can see, touch and feed all the different kinds of black hills fish. Spearfish is also home to the Spearfish Canyon Scenic Byway, which is 20 miles of awe-inspiring valleys with towering pines, aspen and birch trees covering the hills along with incredible rock formations as far as the eye can see! Guests who book the hideaway main house starting in July can now add-on our newly remodeled 2200 Square foot game room- when you enter this fun filled area you will find yourself immersed in entertainment. First when you walk in adults and kids alike can step up onto the large elevated platform that is fully themed in your favorite retro gaming characters and universes – this video gaming area with 2 60” TV’s for simultaneous gaming has all of your classic super Nintendo and Nintendo game systems complete with gaming chairs and classic arcade games, relive all of your favorite games from the classic video gaming era like Donkey Kong, Mario brothers, the legend of Zelda and paperboy- thousands of games are available on the retro gaming systems along with smart tvs for streaming movies and 125 cable tv stations, this area is guaranteed to make memories.

For families staying with young kids the game room also has a large area to play including there very own built in tiny house complete with windows and a shingled roof. The kids will have a blast playing inside and outside of there own kid sized house with a large padded area outside with kids games and activities for hours of entertainment.

For the Adults the room features a 13’ long community table made from the wood of a real bowling ally situated inside of a dive bar sports themed hang out center featuring foos ball, air hockey and 2 65” TV’s for watching your favorite shows and games and all of the board games and card games you can think of to have fun with your adult friends. There is also a retro juke box in the bar area with music themed decorations and furniture so if sitting back and chilling out to your favorite music is your thing we have it for you – the retro juke box hooks up to your phone or music device so you can listen to your choice of music.

If all of this isn’t enough fun for you and your group focus your attention to you the main attraction- its hidden away behind closed doors on the south side of the room – dare to enter this space and you will find a fully star wars themed movie theater with theater and bar top seating and a giant 75” TV, sound that will blow you away and a full complement of star wars themed items to make the experience unforgettable. The new game room is huge, features something for everybody and is a great compliment to the main house especially in the winter time when the weather is not so great and your looking for a place to hang out in a warm fun filled atmosphere with your family or a group your friends and make unforgettable memories.
