Private guesthouse with Mt Rainier & Valley Views

Close-in location, Edgewood is known for being centrally located. Close to freeways, 167 in the valley below us and I-5 a few minutes to the West. Conveniently located 5 minutes to downtown Sumner and Sounder train to Seattle/Tacoma. Minutes to Puyallup Fairgrounds or Tacoma Dome. 30 minutes to SeaTac Airport depending on traffic. Excellent use of space in this open concept 2 bedroom apartment with 9' ceilings. Lots of natural light with expansive windows viewing into the Sumner Valley, tree tops and green space Mt. Rainer and the Cascade foothills in view to the Southeast. The guesthouse is located above a garage so you must be able to climb stairs. You do not have access to the garage. We sometimes need to access this space thru another entrance to get tools and things out. There is a private/reserved parking area adjacent to the guest house with ample room for up to 3 vehicles with back up/turn around space. We have lived in Edgewood for 20 years, if you have any questions about the area we will do our best to provide answers accommodate your needs. Our location in Edgewood perks this property just above the Old town of Sumner. There are multiple restaurants and coffee shops on the main street with lots of boutique style shopping. Easy freeway access to hwy 410, hwy 167, hwy 161, hwy 512. These all converge within a couple miles of the residence. I-5 is easy accessed one of many ways from the location. The area feels open and country-like. Feels like an escape but close to everything. We do not have public transit in our neighborhood. The Sounder station is located in Sumner about 1 mile away. It is not walkable from this location We do not have public transportation in our neighborhood. You would need to uber/lyft/taxi to the station. Parking is very limited at the sumner station. The residence is located just off the intersection of 48th and 127th Ave E, It is a long private driveway. The apartment is located at the end of the private driveway. There is no yard area.

This two bedroom apartment is well laid out, decorated nicely, the kitchen is well stocked, and the beds were comfortable. It had a spectacular view from the main living spaces, and the host was responsive and easy to interact with. We would most definitely stay here again.

Very nice guest house/flat above the garage. Well maintained and very clean. Easy to find and check/in was great. Good communication from owner. Beautiful property and great views.This was listed as accommodating 6 people, which is a stretch. This would accommodate 4 people comfortably at best. The single bathroom with no separation of toilet/sink/shower made it challenging for a family of 6 to get ready. The “sofa bed” is not actually a bed, just rearranged couch cushions to make a rectangle shape. Kids slept horribly on it. Our two night trip was short so it wasn’t an issue. If we planned on staying longer I would have canceled and gotten something else bigger to fit our family.Overall, great property, just not exactly what I was expecting to accommodate 6 people.

It was an absolute delight to stay at this beautiful Washington State getaway. The wall-to-wall windows let in so much sunlight, as well as a perfect view of Mount Rainier. GPS led us directly to the spot. The hosts' directions down the driveway helped us to locate the rental well. This beautiful minihome was clean, peaceful, comfortable, and well-stocked with everything we needed and more. Highly recommend and hope to return for a future getaway!

Beautiful, quiet property. Lovely views. Host was quick to resolve a mechanical issue with AC (noise issue). Was able to cook a meal for six as the kitchen as well appointed with quality amenities. Would stay here again for sure!

Excellent place to stay!!

I stay in this area at least twice a month. So far probably 15 different locations. This one is by far the best. It was clean and very well kept. The bed was extremely comfortable! The only issue we had was with the TV, but it was nothing that truly affected out stay!

Great place to stay!

Had a wonderful time here. Great location and when it’s not raining you can wake up hot air balloons coming up over the hill. But even in the rain the yard and gardens are beautiful to look out on and enjoy your morning coffee or evening cocktail. Clean home with everything you need to make it feel like home. Will definitely book again.

Nice Quiet Stay

The guesthouse was perfect for our two college-age daughters, my husband and I. Was just the right amount of space for us to come home and relax after the events of the day. Visiting family breathy so was so much better than staying in a hotel.

Wake up to amazing views in this well appointed 2br/1ba

Hosts are very responsive and took the time to leave no stone unturned in terms of all the necessities you would expect at a good VRBO. It's definitely not huge, but our family of five managed the space very well. A level 2 electric vehicle charger is a nice touch for those of you with EVs.

Excellent stay in a spacious clean apartment.

A lovely apartment with views towards Mt Rainier (on a clear day). Well equipped and clean. Very comfy beds and bedding. Steep stairs to access and slight noise from hooting trains in the valley. Overall, an excellent apartment.

We have lived in Edgewood for the last 23 years. We raised our three children here who are all adults now. We now have two cavapoo dogs- babies. When we are not working at our small contracting business we enjoy gardening, going to the beach ,cooking.

This property is located down a long driveway off the main road. So it is private other than ourselves and our children and occasional guests coming and going. you have your own private parking area right next to the guesthouse. The Views are excellent from the guesthouse. We are centrally located to just about all major attractions in Washington. (Cities, Mountains, Shopping.)
We are close to many grocery store
