Great privacy and amazing views. Home and furnishings are a bit rustic but give that old Lake Travis vibe I've always cherished. Yes you can access the cove and open water here but bring the right shoes for the climb down and back. Kind and caring host. Hope to return next summer.

My family and I rented the home for 2nights. The view was beautiful but patio felt extremely unsafe for my young kids. The blinds were all broken, the doors were broken and hard to open. Inside the home was outdated and not clean, the coffee pot was missing the cookware was broken or dirty, carpets weren’t clean, tub upstairs had spiders in it. Overall The home felt like someone was living there and left for an errand. The Cobb webs were huge, especially in the corner of that creepy restroom in the kitchen. We didn’t stay the 2 nights we decided to check out a day early. Our contact person was nice and informative but we will not be back as the effort to make this place feel comfortable was non existent it was almost disrespectful. We were extremely disappointed

Lovely View and Plenty of Space

The view is definitely the highlight of this property and what you're paying for. Safe neighborhood and convenient to winery. Host was very responsive and flexible with checkin and checkout.

Weekend getaway

This place is perfect for visiting the Hill country and surrounding wineries / distilleries. Amazing view of the CO river from the top floor and balcony. The house is slightly older but an excellent value for its location and its views. Quirky in a good way. Would definitely stay again and recommend highly. Was just my wife and myself but two adult couples or one family could comfortably fit in this house. A+

Peaceful Retreat

Imagine your dad's cool european hippie friend has a lakehouse and lets you stay. Cozy home, comfy beds and stellar lake view. The community is quiet. A private peaceful vibe. Birds in the morning and frogs and fireflies at night. We enjoyed the property immensely and Terrell is a responsive host.

Amazing Time

I first want to say Mr Terrell was absolutely amazing! He had the place very clean, a sweet bag with wine that say “Happy 1year Anniversary”!!! He checked in with me daily and provided places we could venture off to. The view was one in a million. I will be going back every three months just to enjoy the peace and escape from the city life.

Stunning views, great balconys

The house is super neat, it was just my husband and I but we had fun trying to figure out the layout. One of the reviews mentioned it was like staying with a relative and I find that true, however it was just what we wanted. The upstairs tub is one like I’ve never seen, the downstairs toilet comes with a great view! There’s little trails you can take behind the house that are right up our alley! The neighborhood is beautiful. It had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. If you’re a TV watcher id bring a Roku stick or something similar as there is no cable or DVD player we could find (it’s the background noise for me, when I sleep, but it was so peaceful I found I didn’t need it). The owner allowed us to check in early which was great and gave great recommendations for food and entertainment. All around a great experience, I would love to take my (adult) kids back, they also appreciate the nature and simplicity.

Perfect to connect with nature

My wife and I needed to get some fresh air and recharge batteries from this confinement. We stayed from June 14th to 18th and had a great time. First of all, the view, it's amazing, probably one of the best in the region. With that view I didn't need much more. We were not looking for anything fancy, so we prioritized the location and the view over anything else. The house was organized and had everything we needed. If you're looking for a place to relax, this place will work for you, especially for couples who want to take a break from the city. It is still a cabin in the heart of Texas, so it's somewhat rustic, where bugs and spiders are to be expected. The region is also beautiful, there are different parks in the area, making it very easy to hike, bike or swim in a natural pool (or lake). Terrel, the owner, was very attentive and stayed in touch with us to ensure we were doing fine. Overall, it's a great place to disconnect from reality.

Hit and miss

Be prepared for many surprises. On the plus side, the setting is peaceful and the view is amazing. But, the home is not well cared for and takes away from the relaxation potential. From the request to delay our check in beyond 3 pm, to the dirty glass coffee table, bathroom mirrors, toilet, floors and moldy shower curtain, I didn’t feel like a welcomed guest. It’s more like your cousin letting you use the family lake house and you get what you get, but I would have cost me a gift basket, not the nightly rate plus fees that I paid. A little effort to correct sticking sliding glass doors, torn cushions, folding chairs at dining table, pans beyond their useful life, broken blinds, questionable deck boards, lack of cable/satellite tv would go a long way to making the space more inviting.

Very Disappointed

We are totally disappointed, and the house neither has a safe pathway from the road to the main entry nor having a proper safe parking lot. The photographs and information provided in the rental app (Vrbo) are far from reality and deceptive.

Private weekend getaway

Terrell’s Property was exactly what we were looking for in a quiet and private romantic weekend getaway with a water view. We enjoyed the Lake Travis area, but especially enjoyed the beautiful sunsets from both balconies and seeing and hearing all the wildlife. It was a great escape from San Antonio and made us feel connected to the countryside again, despite the July heat. Terrell is a great host, is very responsive and even gave us a heads up that he had no renters booked for our check out day and we could stay as long as we wanted. A very nice gesture that we greatly appreciated!

Great location with beautiful views

Really enjoyed the location and views. Was a short hike to get to lake so not suitable for kayaks/jetskis but there was a park to access lake nearby. The house is older, and has lots of character. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay.

Work Retreat

Two of us needed a few days to knock out some work that required creativity and no interruptions. The view was very inspiring and the quiet was perfect. The local restaurants were casual and delicious as well. Thank you for giving us the gift of three fruitful days and restful nights!

Great Vistas

We wanted to get away for a few days and this house suited us perfectly. The house has a cabin feel with plenty of wood features. The living room has large windows on three sides and the views are fantastic. The kitchen has plenty of pots, pans, plates, glasses, etc. and we had no issues cooking our meals. And working on my computer while sitting on the deck overlooking the river was quite a treat! Highly recommended.

Breathtaking views from both balconies

The views from this lake house are amazing. Great views from both balconies. There is also a trail leading you down to the lake behind the house. I did not bring tennis shoes, so I did not brave the short hike down but my husband and 9 yr old did, and it was very short walk to reach water, not difficult at all. House was very fully stocked in kitchen and laundry room, so I really did not need to bring anything!! Owner easy to reach via text or call. The house is older and has unique style to it but comfortable to stay in. There is a spiral staircase taking you between the two floors, so just be aware of that if you have anyone elderly in your party. Some parts of the house need some "TLC" (some broken blinds, etc) but it was nothing that would keep me from returning. GORGEOUS lake and hill country views and we had beautiful deer come right up to the property in the backyard. Owner even provided life vests and floats if we wanted to venture down to the lake from the backyard. Beautiful, quiet, private neighborhood. If you go, venture 10 minutes away to beautiful Krause Springs. We went on a weekday so it was not crowded. Our family will return, loved it!

Beautiful lakehouse

This house was absolutely amazing! It was just what we needed for our family vacation. The location was spectacular. It was nice and quiet everything that we had hoped for. Terrell was beyond amazing and I loved that he kept in touch before and during our stay. We will definitely be back!

Breathtaking hill country views!

My husband and I rented this house for almost a week during Christmas. The panoramic views from the house are breathtaking. We enjoyed walking down to the lake and coffee on the patio. The house is a little rustic but very comfortable with a lot of character. The WiFi was great, which was important for us as we worked remotely for a few days. The owner was super helpful and checked in on us during the stay. We loved this house and property and would come back in a heart beat!

Lake Travis Thanksgiving

We loved our stay at Terrel's home on Lake Travis. It is a beautifully designed home on some of the prettiest property around with some outstanding views. We enjoyed the deer that camped out around the house. It is a bit rustic so expect some cobwebs and a bit of a cabin-like feel. It was a cozy, fun stay for us!
