Don't miss this sunny dog friendly 1brm with a pullout sofa, located just blocks from the Train, Union Square, Block 11, Union Square Donuts, Bow Market and many other unique shops and restaurants.

This is a super sunny 1 bedroom apartment unit in a 2 family home, featuring a queen bed, pullout sofa, and a desk. If you choose to bring your furry friend, feel free to share the side and back yard for a moment. Not that you need a car in this convenient location, but we will provide a parking pass so that you may park for free on the street (first come first serve).

Pros: Perfect home for us to stay 4 nights with our Frenchie dog with the small fenced yard to safely and easily let her out. Host Jay responded quickly to every question before our stay. Apartment was clean and check in was easy. Gilman Square T station was about 2 blocks away so getting downtown was easy. All the kitchen equipment you need, and towels and bedding were good quality. Summer temps were in the 90's and the A/C worked great throughout the entire apartment. This rental felt like we LIVED in Boston!Cons: Would not recommend to anyone with mobility issues--10 steep front steps to enter and claw-foot tub would be difficult for some to manage. As stated in other reviews, the upstairs family has 2 young children and their playing and running can be quite noisy at times, but they and the neighborhood are quiet at night. A parking pass was provided, but unfortunately during our stay, construction was being done on the street, so we had to park 2 blocks away.

Neighborhood feel, close to green line

We lived in boston about a decade ago, and rented the floor of a stack house in Belmont. This house in Somerville reminded us so much of our old place! The neighborhood is very walkable, close to restaurants and parks, etc. The Gilman Sq green line stop was two blocks away, which made it very easy to get into the city for sight-seeing.

Perfect HQ for Exploring Boston

My family and I stayed at this wonderful house in Somerville and loved it. Being outside the city of Boston gave us a break from the stimulation of the city, but was only a few minute subway ride when we wanted to enjoy the city. Thanks for a great place!

Spacious and comfortable place to stay

We found this home to be quite nice and welcoming. The apartment was lovely and perfectly located close to everything we needed. We will be back. I would highly recommend this place.

Thanksgiving in Boston

This was a great pet friendly place to stay over Thanksgiving weekend. Great location. We did have trouble getting the TV to work. Hopefully it will be resolved. We would absolutely stay again!

Sunny, clean, spacious

The apartment felt Homie, spacious and the backyard was great for my dog. It is true there is a small child in the apt. Upstairs who gets up at 5 AM and it’s quite loud so you just wanna have a sleep app or a sound machine on your phone to help with that. Pull out sofa acts as the 2nd bed in the front room.

Older house with some issues

Options are limited in this area so take that into account. First the positives: It is a very large apartment so you will have plenty of room. It was well stocked with everything you would expect. It was also very clean. The owners live upstairs and are very nice. The property manager was very responsive. Things to take into account: It is an old house, so it is not quiet. The floors squeak on your level, but more disturbing is you can hear everything from the owners on the second level. Shower or toilet flushing at 11pm. Kids running around at 5:30 am. You will hear it. If you have mobility issues you will not like the front stairs or the tub/shower access. And for those who are squeamish, there was at least one mouse running across the kitchen. It may well be the best option around, especially if you have a pet, but you should be aware of these issues.

Perfect location for visiting our grand baby!

We were 10 mins walk from where our new grand daughter lives. Just enough room, nice yard to hang out - excellent communication with owners.

Productive Week in Somerville

I stayed at this apartment Sunday-Saturday and loved the experience. The visit was personal and professional. Internet connection was great and I was able to work as if I was at my regular desk. The parking pass allowed me to park right outside the apartment. I never had an issue with parking, and always got a spot right in front of the apartment. The apartment was clean. There were heating/AC units in each room and the temperature was very comfortable. Conveniently located - both to highways, Cambridge, restaurants, Gillman Station (T stop about a 5 minute walk). Quiet neighborhood. Seemed safe - but I did not tempt fate. Keyless entry was super convenient. I will definitely stay here again.

Great spot for long-term stay!

My husband, dog, and I stayed here for just under a month and it was wonderful. The location is stellar, the place is spacious enough for my husband and I to both work, and it had everything we needed for ourselves and our pup. Would absolutely stay again!

Great location, charming flat

We stayed here with our family of four for a week. Kids shared a foldout sofa in the living room. The floor needed better cleaning but the owners brought us a vacuum when we requested it and offered to have housekeeper come again. We would definitely stay here again while in the area.

Comfortable place and great location for exploring Cambridge

Had a wonderful stay here. The host was very responsive and helpful when we had requests/questions and the place was comfortable and very well equipped - particularly for our case as we were traveling with an infant, and there were several items including a highchair and pack and play. The location is great and transportation is easy, whether you have a car (arranging street parking was easy) or accessing the subway. Particularly great if you're exploring Cambridge and Harvard.
