THE SPACE The space is unique and timeless. Each element has been hand-crafted and hand-built by us, or selected with purpose. Intentionally pared-back, the cabin celebrates simplicity and sustainability. Originally built in the 1800's, the historic cabin offers a special charm with all the modern comforts.
**DOWNSTAIRS**
Living/Dining: Reclaimed oak floor with wood stove, (we provide ample wood), table for three, couch area, books, board games and puzzles

It's easy to open the windows and listen to the birds, breeze, and the river.
**ON THE GROUNDS**
Backyard Pavilion: Large pavilion with wood-burning stone fireplace, lounge seating, table w/ 4 chairs, charcoal grill
Two additional firepits, an acre of beautiful flower gardens, vegetable garden, hammock, Huff Creek
Wildlife galore; enjoy sightings of deer, fox, turtles, frogs, butterflies, and many birds!
Parking: Plenty of parking on the gravel in front of the house. You'll see our shed/workshop (stays locked). Thanks for staying in the main parking area near the house & gardens.
WIFI: This is an unplugged getaway without wifi. Most phones will work just, but not for things like streaming.
SUSTAINABILITY: From waste-free cleaning options to cloth napkins, and a working compost to non-toxic bath products, we strive to be an eco-friendly stay. Our cabin has spring-fed water (and a Brita filter), recycling bins, and waste-free options throughout.
LOCATION: We promise to resolve unforeseen maintenance issues that may arise as quickly as possible, but ask for your flexibility in understanding the limitations (and advantages!) to this remote location.
Also, please do not be alarmed if you see a bug or two inside the cabin. You're in nature, and as much as our staff does to keep everything clean, we're not able to control every insect.
CLIMATE CONTROL: The cabin has a ductless AC/heat unit with a remote. The wood stove can provide additional heat in winter.
SMALL GATHERINGS: Gatherings and small events are welcomed on a case by case basis and include an event fee. Please message us with your request.

We're Lindsey & Corey. We love the outdoors and creating spaces. We outgrew our log cabin in the woods and decided to welcome guests to the space. We hope you enjoy it!
Por qué escogió este alojamiento
When we were shopping for our first home, It was important to find something with history, but something we could make our own. Corey found abandoned but historic oak logs on 10 acres and that was it.
It was charming, whimsical, and needed A LOT of work. But we could see all that it could become. Together, we set out to restore the “house” and land.
We dreamed up the oversized fireplace and timeless interiors—our friends pitching in to help us build it all into reality. Our workdays turned into card games and straight-from-the-garden dinners, and we always ended up by the fire. It became a sacred spot where we could tell old stories and make new memories.
It was a labor of love, but it became the place we’d rather be over anywhere else.
A pavilion where we hoped the table would always be crowded, a hammock to daydream in, and a creek to explore. Our home became this balance of comfort and curiosity of what we would discover about ourselves, our abilities, and the outdoors.
Our life came together built almost entirely with a shovel and a saw. We loved the house and gardens for nearly ten years.
When our family outgrew the space, we knew it was special enough to share. It's a place of healing and comfort, as well as exploration and discovery. You'll find all the modern comforts away from the hustle of the city--open the windows, listen to the birds, take a walk, smell the flowers (literally).
