Outer Banks Family-sized Vacation Home 10-minute Walk from the Beach.

Located ocean side in the beautiful Corolla community of Monteray Shores, The Wardroom is a six bedroom contemporary vacation home situated between the ocean and the sound. This Carolina home features two King master bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms. There are also two Queen bedrooms, a bedroom with two twins and a bunk room with two bunk bed sets (4 beds). A private pool and hot-tub are perfect for relaxing outdoors on this private, wooded cul-de-sac. The Wardroom is pet-friendly, so be sure to include the family dog in your vacation plans.

There is sound access with a ramp for kayaks at the club house along with a playground for the kids! Don't miss the panoramic sunsets that Corolla is known for!

We had a wonderful stay in Corolla! The house was perfect for our family gathering of 13 (teenagers and adults). It had everything we needed to prepare and serve meals for our large group and the house is clean and comfortable to hang out in and wind down after our day. It was an easy, short walk to the beach and on days we opted to stay home, the pool and hottub were enjoyed by all! The owners are super kind, helpful and always answered our questions in a timely manner.

This was our second stay here and I would highly recommend it. We will definitely be coming back. We were a family of 10 and we all fit comfortably. Everyone enjoyed the proximity to the beach, having a pool to come home to and relaxing in the hot tub at night!

Exceeded expectations

This was a multi generational family vacation. My husband and I and 3 of our 4 adult children. We have 8 grandchildren but only 3 could be there. The grand dogs couldn't make it either BUT it was a very relaxing time. All my worries floated away (I'm not kidding). I focused on the fam AND learned about the local history of the Outer Banks. My kids did SO MUCH of the food prep and clean up. I didn't realize how much I needed that. THANKS The house and amenities are over the top beautiful. Loved our stay.

August 2024 - Family trip

Our family included 7 adults and three children. We really liked the boardwalk for the half mile walk to the beach. We rented a beach shelter and chairs which helped quite a bit with beach enjoyment. The pool was great in the afternoons, we installed a tarp for some shade in the pool. We used a cooler for drinks in the house because only one fridge is installed. Enjoyed in so much we booked this property for next year as well.

Annual Family Beach Vacation

We thoroughly enjoyed our week at the beautiful Wardroom! The house met our needs perfectly, especially with the ample size pool, well stocked kitchen, outdoor shower and short 10 minute walk to the ocean. The lovely unique decor and all the amenities truly showed thoughtfulness on the part of the owner. It was wonderful that we could bring our old pup with us too!

Family vacation

I was looking for a home that would fit all of my children and their partners and this house was perfect! We loved the accessibility to the beach! Having the pool and hot tub to come home to after spending the day at the beach was amazing! I would highly recommend this house as not only was the house perfect but the owners were extremely helpful and accommodating!

Wonderful week

Two families (all adults) and 1 dog enjoyed a wonderful week in this lovely home. Perfect size - plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms and hangout spaces. Very, very clean and comfortable. We used the perfect-sized pool and the hot tub every day. The walk to the beach is doable on a very nice boardwalk. The location is close to shops, restaurants and the 4WD drive beach. (We love Corolla.) The owners responded very quickly to our questions and were easy to work with. Truly a perfect escape.

Great week in Corolla!

Stayed June 29-July 6, 2024. The property was exactly as described in the listing. Very clean and welcoming. The kitchen was well stocked with everything you would have at home and more. The check in process was very easy. Communication from Lauren was awesome! She checked in with me a few hours after arriving to make sure everything was perfect for our week! We didn't have any problems but I'm positive Lauren would've handled immediately if needed. Thank you for having the proper equipment around the pool and hot tub as well as the outdoor shower for beach cleanup. I would rent this property again and highly recommend to anyone wanting a clean, cozy home for a week or more in Corolla. Thank you Lauren for allowing us to enjoy your beautiful home!

Great time

We had our immediate family of eight six adults and two children. We had a wonderful time kids loved the pool the weather was perfect all week long we went to the ocean at least 5 days of the time we were there and had a blast. Highly recommend

Great house! Perfect for our family! Kitchen very well stocked with all the stuff you need to cook and bake with. Great pool and hot tub. 10 min walk to the beach. Grocery and shops very close. We had a great time and great weather!😊

Great House! Great Location!

The Wardroom was a wonderful home-base for our annual family vacation! This spacious, well-maintained home accommodated the 10 adults and 3 children in our party perfectly. With plenty of comfortable bedrooms, the pool, the fully-stocked kitchen and other modern amenities, we certainly could not have found a superior rental. Communication with the owners was excellent from day one. And the location could not have been better - just a short walk (and even faster bike ride) across a newly-built path that lead right to the beach. We had never been to the Outer Banks before and this was a great experience that everyone enjoyed, including the kids. We would definitely rent this house again!!

Four generations of fun

We had 4 generations, 11 people and 2 puppies, and a fabulous time was had by all! The house was beautiful and fully stocked and the pool was super refreshing! It was just a short walk to the beach, and we were back out there with our flashlights for our nightly ghost crab hunts! Thank you for opening up your home so we could enjoy some great OBX time! 🙂

Fantastic house!

Kitchen was well-equipped, and the pool and hot tub were well-maintained. We used Google earth to find a path to the beach that made for a quick walk. We would definitely stay again!

Amazing Family trip

The property was amazing! The kitchen was so very well stocked. It was by far the best house we have stayed in. The pool was amazing as well as the hot tub. The owner was very responsive to answer our questions. Our family ranged in age from 2 1/2 to 65 and we all loved this property. I would highly recommend this property.

Great play for families

The house is in an excellent location, away from the main road traffic. It is within walking distance to both the sound and ocean. We came with 15 family members, all Of our children, significant others, and grand kids. We had plenty of room at the house and the kids loved the pool. The older kids enjoyed the pool and hot tub. Lauren was excellent with communication and taking time to answer our questions. I would highly recommend this property and if we come back again will definitely look to this house again. It was a wonderful experience.

We had a lovely week, enjoying the pool, and the beach, putting together puzzles, playing games, cooking together, and just enjoying each other’s company. This house was perfect for that. The location was great; close to the grocery store, close to a little shopping and close to historic Corolla. we hope to return one day.

Amazing Trip!

This was our first trip to the Outer Banks and we had a great time despite all the rain. Our house was well-appointed with plenty of space to keep us entertained and, not on top of each other, during the many rain showers. Perfect location for biking and sightseeing. The beach was a short walk away for those times when the sun did come out. The pool was great and we enjoyed the hot tub. Lauren was great at responding to the questions I had before and during our stay. If we come back to the Outer Banks we will definitely stay here again!!
