HARVEST COTTAGE Cozy home for family memories in a small town..

Welcome to Harvest Cottage.
This was a completely new home in May 2021. It is a cozy home, with simple decor. On a Cul de sac on the edge of town, with open view out the front windows, big back yard, our empty lot beside it to use also.

The space
As you walk in the front door, ( with an electronic lock that we'll give you a code to) you walk into the living room with all recliner couches and lazy boy recliner, vaulted ceiling with ceiling fan. The fully furnished kitchen has a center island with bar and 2 bar stools to sit at while meals are prepared. Some of the main ingredients are also stocked. We supply the whole bean coffee, which is roasted by our son in law in Washington, where he has a roaster and his own coffee shop. There is a burr grinder and 3 ways to make coffee. A French press, an Aero press, and a drip coffee maker. We usually keep extra coffee on hand at our place if you need or want to purchase more. Off to the side is a table that seats 6. Walk out the backdoor and there is a small deck and patio with gas grill. (Barbecue tools in pantry). Down the hall there is a laundry room with washer and dryer and laundry supplies, as well as cleaning supplies in overhead cabinets. The Queen master bedroom has ceiling fan, double closet, and it's own bathroom, which has a 5' shower, and a vanity with 2 sinks. The other main floor bedroom has 2 twin beds, closet and ceiling fan. There is also a main bathroom with a tub/shower combo, and a single sink vanity.
Then take the wide open stairway down. At the bottom you will enter a large family room with seating on one side, a 42" TV with Roku, and the other side has a small desk ( if you need to do some work!!,) and some childrens toys. There are also 2 queen bedrooms with egress windows, ceiling fans, closets at other end of basement . Also a full bathroom with tub/shower combo, single sink vanity.

Hesston is a small town with hometown feel.
There are a couple of parks, a water park, a public swimming pool, an 18 hole golf course, 2 disc golf courses, an arboretum with a small pond and walking path.
There are a couple antique shops as well as hardware and gift shops.
There are several eating places also. Pizza Hut, Subway, Sonic, El Cerrito Mexican, Hesston Bakery, and Casey's which has donuts and pizza to go.
Hesston does not have a grocery store at this time, but Casey's has some of the basics. Newton which is 8-10 miles away has a couple of Dillons and a Walmart.

Guest access

You have the whole house to yourselves. We live in town, but both work locally so are usually available in pretty short notice. I will send you a front door code usually a day before or the morning if the reservation.

Other notes

We have a strictly No Pets allowed, inside or out, policy. One of the reasons for this is we don't know if the following guests have allergies toward animals, and also to keep our place clean and tidy

We also have a No Smoking and No Vaping inside or out policy for some of the same reasons as above.

No large gatherings or parties
