LilyPad Lodge located on Little St Germain Lake

his newly constructed handicap accessible home has a sloped path to the lakefront. The grassy frontage has a sandy lake bottom and is great for swimming.

Relax with a morning cup of coffee on the large covered patio or screened porch. With construction completed in 2013, this 3 bedroom, 2 1/2 bath early American beach home features a handicapped accessible master suite with king sized bed and large shower. The upper level has a bedroom with a queen bed, a bunkroom with 4 twins and a full bath. The loft area overlooking the great room has a queen size sofa sleeper and a TV with DVD player. There is additional sleeping on the sofa bed in the great room area.

The fully equipped kitchen includes coffee maker, microwave, ice maker, and dishwasher. There is plenty of seating at the large dining table and snack bar.

The large yard has a swing set and playhouse, great for families with young children.

But love the place price is getting pretty high. Every year it’s up a few more hundred. We bring our kids but our retirement isn’t very much so we have to save every month just to come .

Family vacation

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This is the second time we stayed at Lily Pad. We love the spacious main floor, screen porch and front porch with overhang. Regardless is weather there is always room to hang out as a family. We also have two small grandkids and dog that need room to play in and out. The swing set is a good feature. We brought a jet ski, pontoon and ski boat and had ample room at the pier to anchor them. The main bedroom and bath is very nice in the main floor. Beautiful view but a little hill to get to the water for the little ones and no beachy area to wade into. It’s a great property to rent and plan to be back.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Have been coming here for years and always enjoy our stay. It's a very nice place for people who need accessibility facilities as we do. However, the price keeps increasing and amenities like the fish cleaning house have been taken away. Have been sleeping on the same uncomfortable "roll to the middle" pull-out mattress in the loft for all those years - owners should try it sometime - very disappointing to see that same old mattress. A couple of years ago we found pans that looked like they had been used and put back without washing them. They were sparkling clean when we left. Things are usually pretty clean, but the upstairs grungy shower curtain liner should really be replaced, the accessible shower leakage out onto the floor has improved some, and the porch usually needs a good sweeping. For accessibility, it would be nice to have the path down to the piers paved as the gravel gets washed away and isn't the safest for someone in a wheelchair or scooter. Those folks would like to enjoy being able to get closer to the water, too.

A Little Updated Information Would Be Appreciated

Everything was nice and clean - screened-in porch could have used a good sweeping out. New mattress on loft pull-out was apprciated - still rolls to center. Regarding updated information to renters: No one informed us that the water would be turned off if the system thinks you used too much. The water went out about 10:30 PM for at least an hour or more - we went to bed. Not good esp. if bathrooms are needed or babies need changing. Then when it came back on the hot water was brown - something needs to be checked out there. When maintenance was at the other cabin, we asked them about it, and he asked if we went down in the basement to check things out, but you can't get in the basement as it is locked! And if something did show up down there, the maintenance people would still have to be the ones to fix it. Apparently, the CatTail Cabin had the same problem. Also, the "rule book" says garbage pick-up on Friday AM, so they picked up on Thursday AM. No dumpster any more, so the trash cans were full when we left, and garbage that didn't fit was left next to cans-tried to leave just the recyclables out, as the CatTail uses the same cans. Must have happened to the party prior to ours, as the garage had 4 full smelly trash bags in when we arrived, so we took them down to the cans. Apparently, garbage pick-up must have come on Thursday the week prior to our visit, too. So, please try to update your information to your renters. Other than that it's a great place, we've been coming here for years, but for the price you pay, just a few little things would be appreciated.
