Modern Mountain Retreat Near the Parkway *Basement Apartment*

If the Blue Ridge Mountains are calling you, this newly remodeled modern retreat might provide the perfect answer. Enjoy a warm cup of coffee or a glass of wine while you relax in the mountain air. There’s plenty of seclusion, but you won't feel isolated—shopping, dining, and attractions are just a short drive to downtown Boone or Blowing Rock. This apartment is calling you if you’re looking for a convenient and peaceful place to stay while exploring the High Country!

Our house is located in a residential neighborhood, bordered by National Park Service land that is designated as a bird preserve. Nearby Rocky Knob Park features a circuit of mountain bike trails, along with a pump track and playground for the kids. Access to the Blue Ridge Parkway is a few short miles away, and you’re just minutes from a day-long hike along the Mountain to Sea Trails that zig-zag across the Blue Ridge Parkway. Our property has trail access to the MST!

You will need to have a car in order to access our house. There isn't any public transportation. You can easily park 2 cars in the designated parking area, but if for some reason you have more cars, we can work out an alternative parking situation.

4wd or all wheel drive is recommended during the winter in case of snow.

We had a lovely stay. The location is beautiful and close to Appalachian State. We were able to enjoy a football game, sightsee and return to cook dinner each night. Host Ashley was amazing!

Great location. We were able to enjoy the sun peeping through the trees at sunrise. The entire place was very clean, simply decorated, and very comfortable.

Very nice stay but we own a Ford Flex and had trouble with the narrow, hillside parking. It was very clean and owner very accommodating.

Amazing stay!

Me and my partner had an amazing stay here! The kitchen was fully stocked and we were able to make full meals without bringing any extra tools! Everything was super clean and the bed was really comfortable. Ashley was super accommodating and replied quickly to every message and question. Would definitely recommend staying here!

Beautiful, remote location, but still in easy reach of town and friends who live near by. Having my coffee on the front porch each morning was a treat. The place was well equipped and comfortable.

Great option for Boone visit

Nice little apartment about 10-15 minutes from App State. Clean and pretty. It is on a narrow, winding, hilly road so advise arriving before dark if possible. We were visiting an App State student. It was cheaper and nicer than the hotels available when we looked.

Great little place

Super cute little basement apartment! It‘s close to town and includes everything you need for a short getaway. The only reason I didn’t give 5 full stars overall was for the following.. 1 - you will hear the people upstairs. If you’re expecting a quiet stay, you may be slightly disappointed. But really, they were never loud. 2 - for me, a full 5 stars generally means the hosts went above and beyond what might be expected. This is not to slight the hosts at this place. They definitely consider the needs of those staying and make sure you have all the essentials.

We're Matt and Ashley from North Carolina, USA. We love living in a smaller town and enjoy access to lots of outdoor activities. Matt is an avid mountain biker and road cycler, and we love riding our bikes along one of the local rivers. We both enjoy cooking and eating good food. One of our favorite weekend activities is visiting our farmers’ market for fresh veggies before having breakfast with friends at our local coffee and donut shop. We enjoy traveling together, and one of our favorite places we've visited has been Tuscany.

Our goal as a rental host is to make your stay as comfortable as possible. We will communicate as much as you prefer and we would love to provide recommendations on dining and activities. Whether you are staying for business or pleasure, we hope that our home is a retreat and provides what you are looking for in your stay. We hope that you fall in love with this scenic mountain town!
