This stylish place to stay is perfect for group trips. Down the road from a boat ramp and next door to Birch Creek State Park with access to Lake Somerville for fishing, trails for hiking and bike riding, and swimming. This is for two units, 2 bedrooms up, sleeps 5 and 1 bed & pull out sofa downstairs that sleeps 4 with access to two kitchens laundry, ample parking for your boat or jetski, pet friendly, hang out areas with BBQ pit, firepit, and lots of green area for outdoor lounging and games.

The property's was very clean, Both kitchens was sufficiently equipped with the proper cooking essentials pots, pans, seasonings ect. All appliances and electronics were super easy to use. The overall experience was very laid back, relaxing and quiet perfect for a couples weekend retreat, in which it ended up being... If I could afford to rent this space for the entire summer, it would be my permanent summer home away from home.. It was very family friendly as well as the entire community, we made lots of friends with the residents....

A little piece of paradise

These units were perfect for our friends and family. Loved the two kitchens and multiple baths. Both units are updated and decorated just precious as can be. With our group we had lot's of outdoor space under the patio with great seating options. We would not hesitate coming back. We visited the lake several times as it's just a few minutes away to view gorgeous sunsets.

Perfect house

The house was perfect for our family. Very clean and functional. Had everything we needed for the weekend. The AC worked great in the heat and the showers were nice after a day at the lake.

Fun experience

The property was clean and well maintained. Its was same as mentioned in photos…. And was well equipped. It was safe and private. Enjoyed it!!!

Fabulous for extended family

Really beautiful home that is clean and comfortable. Nice outdoor area. Very close to the park for hiking and water fun. Also close to Brenham, etc. the separate upstairs and downstairs was great for my brother in law. The listing says one room has two queens and one twin, but it had one queen. Will definitely stay again!

Excelente espacio de paz y tranquilidad con la naturaleza para familias.

Visitamos familia en Texas A&M y fuimos a un juego de fut americano ahi, y fue una excelente opción de valor/costo. El lugar es un poco retirado de A&M pero vale la pena la manejada si uno quiere estar tranquilo y alejarse del bullicio. El lugar está acondicionado muy completo para pasarla bien y descansar con bonitas vistas.

Lake Somerville Stay

Enjoyed a short getaway weekend here. The house was exactly as described and pictured, host was incredibly responsive to any questions we had. It was a quick drive to the state park for us to launch the boat. We plan on booking another stay here in the fall!

Relaxing stay

Everything was great! AC worked amazing despite the Texas heat. The whole house is newly remodeled, new appliances, fully equipped with everything necessary to make food inside or bbq outside. Over all, it was a relaxing, peaceful, fun stay.

Beautiful house in a great location!

Our family rented this house based on proximity to the state park, Blue Bell Creamery, and College Station. I'll start pluses! The house is absolutely gorgeous with beautiful fixtures and a perfect sitting porch downstairs. It has plenty of bathrooms and kitchen space, and the beds/baths/kitchen were well-stocked with soap, linens, and cooking supplies. The beds are comfortable, and we REALLY appreciated the outdoor lighting on the deck, up both sets of stairs, underneath on the porch, and over the driveway. Communication was TOP NOTCH whenever we had questions, and the property is super quiet. Lots wildlife to observe, too! Negatives (and really these are very minor). The sliding doors in the living room and the window in the kitchen really need curtains/blinds. The kitchen window is especially blinding right at sunset. The amount of crickets upstairs was INSANE, but I also understand it is a country house. My kids had fun rescuing them and releasing them. We were not aware the upstairs and downstairs were seperate quarters only accessible by outside stairs. That makes things difficult when you have little kids who dont like being away from Mom and Dad, but we made it work. And finally, it seems the septic has had some recent work done? The second bath upstairs with the stand alone shower had a funky sewer smell sometimes and made gurgling noises when you flush the toilet. But again...minor things! Overall our stay was absolutely beautiful and we would 100% book again!

Great Stay - You Won't Regret It

We stayed at this rental for our daughter's A&M ring day weekend. The drive back and forth to campus is pretty direct and not bad at all. The rental was super clean and decorated very nice! Beds were comfortable. If you plan on cooking there and have more than 2 - 3 people bring extra utensils. Kristen was a great host and very responsive. We found time to enjoy the nice outdoor space on the property but never saw the lake :) We hope to stay here again for a Roundtop weekend.

Wonderful House for Family

Kristen communicated with us very well and the house was great! It was a nice little sanctuary to come home to after running around all day to Snow’s BBQ and Round Top. Plenty of space for the family (and the downstairs suite was nice and private too with a separate kitchen). We returned the 2nd night to find there was a power issue (unrelated to house). Our hosts immediately came out to the property and made sure we were taken care of. All was resolved quickly by the power company. They were wonderful hosts and we would love to return again if the house is available. Thank you!

Great location near many outdoor activities

Great house close to several outdoor activities - parks, historic sites(Independence & Washington on the Brazos), Brenham, and Lake Somerville(park within biking distance from the house). Family was able to see several areas we had on our Texas roadtrip list for a while now. House has a great outdoor space on first floor and wrap around balcony for taking in the outside. Great, relaxing place to get off the grid and explore the ourdoors.....

No one wanted to touch this property. Left abandoned for many years. I see the potential and have completely transformed this home to make it a place you would not want to leave once you visit.
