The space
This rental is an entire home: South Austin original-- all appliances and furnished throughout as needed; Oriental carpet, hardwood floors, decorative fireplace, washing machine and dryer, and gas appliances, freshly painted. Bedrooms are set-up with queen beds.
You can be in your seat at the Paramount Theatre in 10 minutes or walk to Whole Foods World Hdqtrs less than a mile across the foot bridge on South Lamar. It's a 15 to 20 minute walk to SXSW venues... 2 minutes walk to ACL Live Music stages.

Despite this close proximately to downtown, The Barton Cottage is very close to nature--you can carry your kayak to the waters of Town Lake (Lady Bird Lake now)--or walk through the woods for a swim in The Springs, down a woods path in your bathing suit right into The Springs thru' pure nature... or jog the green belt just a minute away.

Choose from many eateries, coffee shops, all minutes walk through a safe, quiet pocket neighborhood. The home is set up for four but can accommodate more easily for guests during events. There is a private laundry fully equipped with washer/dryer.

The walk to Barton Springs has an option to go through the woods beside the Umlauf Sculpture Garden, down a rocky trail, which is literally a "woods path" directly into the spring-fed pools around which Native Americans settled for millennia--now the soul of Austin--to bathe in the healing spring waters bubbling up into an enormous pool and waterfall, the reason populations gathered here and drew the Austin settlement that became the Capital and the heart of Texas--put a towel around your neck and walk down for the experience.

This comfy house is perched above the entrance to Zilker Park, the site of Austin City Limits Live Music Fest (literally minutes walk in and out of the event, you can come home between songs to use your own restroom--between songs not sets)... and Restaurant Row with Austin's signature Tex-Mex restaurant, Chuy's--serving inexpensive, huge deluxe platters, Daily Juice all within a stone's throw away. We like to say,
