Nestled in a natural wooded wonderland, Ridgetop Cabin features all the creature comforts and conveniences of home. Ridgetop Cabin sits on a rocky ridge above Washington State Park. The ground the cabin sits on is filled with druzy quartz crystal, and perhaps you’ll find one on a stroll or hike. The forested acres are host to a large array of insects, plants, trees, and animals. There are curious butterflies and interesting birds, and somewhere there are morel mushrooms. Whether you are making Ridgetop Cabin your “Show Me Staycation,” or you are just passing through and want a comfortable place to hang your hat, we hope you will stay at Ridgetop Cabin.

A beautiful and comfy property with plenty of space inside and out. Well marked paths through the property made it easy to traipse through the woods. And a surprise cup of hot cocoa after a chilly day doing just that was just icing on the cake (no cake though…).

Would definitely recommend this cabin! Very comfortable beds, well stocked kitchen, and beautiful surroundings. The host was very helpful and easy to get in touch with. Great place to stay in the area, and wonderful front and back porch to enjoy a cup of coffee in the morning.

Went for a weekend to get away from the city. The cabin is located on a beautiful piece of property. Even though you are deep in the woods, we felt completely safe. The cabin is very spacious and offers the same amenities you would find in a hotel. White linens, modern kitchen, everything you need to cook your own meals and extremely comfortable beds. We purchased everything we needed to make our dinner at the DeSoto farmers market and we brought our projector from home and watched movies on the ceiling. It was the perfect getaway. We hope to make it back again for a longer visit. The owners were incredibly polite and quick with responses.

Very clean inside. The host was responsive to questions in messaging on the app. Crystal laden rocks abound just laying on the forest floor on the property. We had a good time with the family there while we were in town for our niece's wedding at the nearby Hillsboro winery. Very quite and peaceful with friendly deer hanging around.

Cute place! The cabin fulfilled my family’s needs for the weekend. The cabin is well equipped, my kids even found a set of dominoes and the game Yahtzee (my family’s favorite game)! I forgot my shampoo and condition bottles in the upstairs bathroom. Bummed me because the bottles were pretty new. So hopefully someone is enjoying the set vs. tossing them in the trash.The cabin was clean and the AC worked. Those are two key items my family and I expect to be

Very nice place to get away and stay! The cabin was very clean and updated. The owners were very clear on door codes and instructions making it very easy to check in and check out. If you are looking for a rustic feeling without sacrificing the reach of technology, then this place is definitely for you!!

Wedding weekend get away

We were attending my nieces wedding and decided to stay at Ridgetop cabin to be closer to the venue. It is such a cute cabin tucked away in the woods. The inside of the cabin is nicely decorated and very clean. The kitchen had coffee, teas, some snacks, and was well equipped with cooking supplies. Even with the rainy and stormy weather my husband and dad throughly enjoyed exploring the property, my dad found a large sparkly rock in the woods. Communication with the owners was beyond outstanding. Unfortunately there was a tornado that moved through the area. The owner was kind and kept us updated throughout the process regarding the power, as well as making sure we were safe. I honestly couldn’t recommend this property enough! If you want a little weekend get away, or a whole week get away it is the perfect location. It’s close to Washington State Park if you like being outdoors, the house also has plenty of land where you can walk around and enjoy nature, but it’s also close to town where you can grab something to eat or visit local stores!

Seclusion is king.

If you like seclusion this fits the bill. Nice clean, quite cabin, comfortable beds. We found some really nice quartz crystals on the blue arrow and yellow ribbon trails, and yes we saw the guard turtle a couple of times while walking the trails. Even though we were out in the country, we were still only 15 minutes from De Soto, and Washington state park. We would recommend staying there and would stay there again ourselves.

Excellent family experience...

The cabin was absolutely beautiful and everything was extremely well stocked and kept. The property was fantastic for a weekend escape. We especially enjoyed the fire pit, fireplace and the trails. Check in was easy and simple. The information provided by the host was thorough. We will absolutely be back.

Beautiful quiet location. Cabin was well appointed and stocked. The steep drive was well plowed and salted after the snow fall. Want to come back when it’s warmer and leaves are on the trees.

Wonderful Fall Getaway

My husband and I celebrated his 60th birthday (with our two dogs) at this wonderful property. It felt very remote, yet was easy to get there. Kitchen was well equipped, bed was very comfortable and really enjoyed the outdoor fire pit and indoor fireplace, since it was chilly. Took a 30-minute drive one day to tour the Bonne Terre Mine, which was really fascinating. Would definitely stay again!

We are four sisters who came back to our home state of Missouri to renovate and revitalize our father's cabin.

Growing up we went on many road trips as a family. Often we went to places where our dad could take us on cowboy adventures. We went horseback riding fishing and boating. We were often in nature and we stayed in log cabins along the way. However at the time as four little girls we didn't necessarily share all the love of the outdoors with our father. So, we always stayed in a nice place with a bed and bathroom and we never camped further from the backyard porch light!

Now with Ridgetop Cabin we want to emulate that sense of exploration and adventure, and love of nature our dad imparted to us with our sense of comfort fun and indulgence.

We hope our guests enjoy the beauty of Missouri's landscape at Ridgetop Cabin with all the nonessential luxuries of home.
