Landmark is a private Farmland located on 10 beautiful acres. This acreage features a huge front and back yard, perfect for hosting a variety of family gatherings or creating the solitude needed to break away from the city life for a few days. Landmark's serene grounds include the namesake barn, Kids play area/Tot Lot, Garages, huge wooden front patio, pergola, firepit, a Back porch with Hot Tub.

The beautiful spaces do not stop with the outdoor areas. Upon entering, you will experience upgraded floors, 4 Bedrooms, 3 Bathrooms, 2 full kitchens, 2 Living Areas and ample space for all guests. Additionally, ample parking and wheelchair-accessible spaces add convenience and comfort for all guests.

This picture-perfect venue is in a secluded and peaceful location, enhancing the destination experience vibe; though still within convenient driving distance of several cities. Landmark is 40 minutes from downtown Raleigh, 40 minutes from RDU Airport.

Whether exchanging vows, making family memories, celebrating a special occasion, hosting a work team retreat, or a couple's weekend away, you are sure to have a beautiful stay, with many fond memories made.

House and yard was spacious for 8 adults and babies. Lots of room for cooking. It would have been nice for the hot tub to be hot once we got there. Would stay there again.

We had a lovely stay for our wedding celebration. Friends and family loved the space and room to run around. My husband and I were the only ones that stayed but we loved the place and the hot tub was a nice way to unwind.

To start with the positive, I thought the owners were very responsive and actually helped us out in a tricky situation around my daughter‘s wedding. I very much appreciated that. The location is great. It’s very serene and peaceful. I thought the interior of the house was decent. I wouldn’t call it, high-end, but it was clean and looked fairly updated. On the downside, I I think they could do some things to tidy up the outside. Most importantly, we struggled with some of the functionality in the house. Several of us took cold showers. The TV and the Internet didn’t seem to be communicating and a few other little things here and there. All in all, I’m not regretful we stayed at this property. It served our purposes and was generally fine, but I wouldn’t call it spectacular.

Easy

For what we needed, this was just right. We didn't need anything fancy, so this was great. Hostess was easy to communicate with and laid back. We were not at the house a lot because we were there for a wedding, but it suited our needs.

Secluded piece of heaven

We had a wedding to attend in Cary. Rented this house because it fit our large family. Each of my grown 4 daughters and husbands had their own rooms. Large yard, hot tub and swingset were perfect. Comfortable and clean with wonderful added touches. Host was very accommodating and responded immediately. This house is a must if your in the area.

Great Place and lots of room

The flowers and trees are in bloom and super pretty. Lots of deer to see too! We wish we were able to stay and enjoy the property more. We were here for a wedding at Highgrove Estates and it’s less than 10 minutes away.

family thanksgiving

we have family in the area and needed a larger place for family thanksgiving. the house was centrally located and had plenty of room to gather inside and out. it was clean and comfortable. it is not easily handicap accessible as my mother is in a wheelchair and the chair was too large for the hallway coming from the ramp.. the great news is the front is very low threshold and we could get her in through this are. the master bath was perfect for someone in a chair. the kids loved the pay ground and yard to play soccer! it was great having table sand chairs we could set up. will stay again

Disappointed

The property is in a beautiful location; however, that is the only positive thing. The lawn around the house was long and needed to be cut. Host would not cut it. In the main house, neither the stove top nor the oven worked. There were no dish towels in the kitchen to dry clean dishes. The rugs were dirty & nails poked thru. One of the recliners in the sofa was broken. Only internet services came in on TV. Master bathroom is the only one that could be accessed by handicapped individual. The shower's filter was not cleaned when we arrived. Host was responsive and came to clean it. No directions on use of radient floor heating. Hot tub smelled and had larve swimming in it. Asked host to clean hot tub and drain water so it was sanitary and usable. They drained hot tub and refilled it but didn't deep clean or sanitize. Refilled hot tub had same awful smell and looked dirty. Was unable to use hot tub. Host does not keep hot tub on to continuously keep the water clean and sanitary for users. In-law apartment's stove and oven worked but there were no utensils or pots/pans to use. Fridge had foul smell and was not clean. The remote for the TV had a corroded battery so was unusable. The ramp goes to this area; however, there is a lip to get from ramp to the in apartment. A walker or wheelchair can go into the bedroom but not the bathroom. In addition, the walker or wheelchair cannot go to main house inside due to there being a step and the doorway not being very wide.

Not what we expected

The accommodations are not as advertised in this property. Bedroom 3 was supposed to have one full bed, one double sofa bed, and a pullout twin bed. This room had only one full size, bed, and a folded mattress on the floor with a single comforter on top. There was no other bedding for this mattress, only sleeping bags and extra comforters in other closets. Not only that, this room had no other furniture: No bedside table, no chair, no lamp. Actually this room is not truly a bedroom, as there was no closet, and it is a pass-through to the last bedroom at the other end of the house. So there was no privacy for the two people that had to stay in this bedroom. This was very frustrating for us. The back door was very hard to open. There was a lot of cookware, but only one pan for baking, and not enough silverware. We struggled to make it work with nine people, but it’s advertised for 12. Further, the dining room table seats only six people. How can you say the property sleeps 12 when it only has a dining table for 6? When we arrived at 8:30 at night it was dark and there were no lights on. The house was cold, the hot tub hadn’t been turned on, and the water in the hot tub was cloudy and green. The property is beautiful, out in the country, and was close to the venue we needed to get to. The bedding and towels were fine, and we were welcomed with a bottle of wine and a couple of treats. However, we feel that we paid premium prices but did not get what we paid for

Sovereign Cottage

I was having a small get together of friends for a birthday weekend. We wanted a place we would all have room to eat, hang out, and relax together. This turned out to be the perfect place. Both the accommodations and the grounds were amazing. The host was incredibly responsive, answering most questions within minutes. Would definitely recommend the Sovereign Cottage to anyone looking for a comfortable weekend stay with all the amenities.

Spacious and nice

This was a great place for my family to stay and hold a memorial service for our parents (was great that the wifi worked well and we were able to stream the service) There are also some interesting quirks that we enjoyed (large walk-in shower, large back patio that a couple of us pitched a tent on). The owners are very communicative and reply to messages pretty quickly, which is appreciated. All in all, a wonderful stay, thank you!

Quiet Countryside

My family and I had to stay here due to roof damage on our home for a few days for the repairs to be completed. The home and grounds were very welcoming and beautiful. The home is very spacious and clean. The hosts were very accommodating and extremely communicative. I would recommend staying here and would stay again if I have any home repairs again.
