Sea View Brac

There was a big communication snafu that left us wondering if we would ever receive check in information. A local Brac person finally tracked down the local agent and got us some help, and we got access. Once in, the agent communicated well and was helpful. The unit is on a quiet street across the road from the beach, with a good view from the balcony. Comfy bed, small cooking area, limited seating for meals.

Hi Bob, thank you for staying with us, we sincerely appologies for the communication error. That error was due to the fact we were newly listed on VRBO and the (Booking messages alerts wasn't yet, enabled on our email and the phone) Since then VRBO as helped us fix that issue. As the fault was ours we extended a extra $200 refund to you on top of the already $300 that was already given by VRBO and the bottle of wine, to show our sincerity. Were super happy and greatfull to the neighbor that reach out to us, from our online phone number which helped us to have the room available for 2pm, check in time. Sorry about the table, we have two tables available but most guest eat out so we move them out the room unto the balcony to give space inside.

Worst experience ever!

After confirming availability & booking this place for 3 nights, I received a message from the host stating the property wasn't available but luckily, she had another room, located on the same property, that was bigger, more spacious and we would still have all the same amenities. She made it sound like we were getting an upgrade. We were horrified when we arrived. The luxury villa shown in the photos turned out to be a run-down, dilapidated cabin. The porch was falling apart, the paint was peeling, all the window screens were torn and the place was full of mosquitos. The dated kitchen had a boarded up door, behind which was a room filled with junk. A pet door flap was built into the wall next to it and animals were coming in & out. There was a strong smell of cat urine throughout the house. The bathroom lacked the luxury tile and ambient lighting that was described. Instead it was located in a wood panelled closet. The door didn't even close, there was no toiletries as promised. No A/C. No Wifi password. We left the property within an hour and promptly messaged to host to request a refund. She did not respond until the following day, then refused to refund my $985 USD as she claimed I did not notify her within the required 12 hr, which is a total lie and can be verified by the timestamps on the messages.
