Spacious basement apartment near Scheels Soccer park with pool table

Welcome to our family friendly, private spacious, basement apartment with kitchenette. We are just minutes from the Scheels Soccer Park, Overland Park Arboretum, Heritage Park, Drive 5, and Blue Valley Rec. Our space is perfect for families, couples or professionals. Enter through private, self check-in door to a spacious room with workspace, pool table, dining area and kitchenette. A second living area includes bunk beds, a large sectional couch, tv and gaming console. Games and movies are provided. Full bathroom includes a standup shower with shampoo, conditioner and soap. Plenty of plush towels and washcloths are provided as well as a hairdryer. Forget something? Extra toiletries available upon request. The kitchenette includes a refrigerator, microwave and Keurig coffee maker. We provide a Brita water pitcher, water bottles, starter coffee and snacks. The bedroom includes a new queen bed with down comforter and blankets. There is a closet with dresser and bedside lamps include USB charging ports. We aim to provide everything you need to make for a comfortable and memorable experience. We are available onsite should any need arise. We live in separate space upstairs so there may be sounds of people walking around but we are conscious of this and limit noise after 9pm. While you are in the area we encourage you to Check out the Arboretum or Heritage Park for great walking trails, golf, frisbee golf, fishing. We are a great spot for families in KC for youth sport’s tournaments.

Overland Park weekend

Came to town for a baseball tournament. The accommodations were perfect. Just enough space and privacy. Everything we clean. We had everything we needed and the hosts were great communicators.

Fantastic Property!

This was such a great find—great hosts, spacious basement apartment, and the added bonus of a pool table! Perfect for a guys weekend. Not too far from KC and super easy to get to/from. Hosts were super responsive and so easy to work with! Cannot wait to book again!!

Wonderful

We were in the area for a sporting event, and came upon this place to stay! We were leary about being in someone else's home, but after reading reviews we decided to go for it. The place was cozy and the neighborhood was beautiful and quiet! We would definitly consider staying again if we're ever in the area!

Restful Peaceful Safe

This is a wonderful place My stay was a very brief overnight from point A to B. I picked for the quiet peaceful and safe neighborhood. It met all my needs. Communication was extremely prompt from questions prior to booking to coordinating my late arrival. This would be a great place for a couple or small family to really enjoy the area. Spend more time tgan I was able to. We all expect clean accommodations, but it looked like I was the first owner in a brand new home.

Awesome!

This place was just as it was described! This was our first time using a location that the owners also lived in. It was great though and we had no problems! We did not get to meet because they gave us our space but hopefully we can next time! We loved the space for our family of 5! The kids loved the bunk beds, pool table, game console, and we loved the Chiefs, KU, and Royals decor! The neighborhood was also an amazing area!

Gorgeous property

We enjoyed the property. The owners were very easy to work with. The vacation rental is a basement apartment in the owner's home. We were a little iffy about that, but it was fantastic. It felt very clean, private and quiet. And it had basically everything we needed for a short trip. Our boys loved the video games and TV setup. They also liked seeing the owner's dogs outside on the property. The adults appreciated the notebook filled with the owner's favorite restaurants and things to do nearby. We ended up taking their suggestions and were more than pleased. Our family went to KC for the Sporting KC game and Legoland. This home was the perfect getaway for that. It is about 25 minutes from Children's Mercy Park, but we didn't mind the drive. It's close enough to everything, but far enough away to have a quiet, country feel. There was a little confusion around checkout times. The VRBO app said 11am, but the owner's checkout time was actually 10am. We ended up checking out late by accident, because of the time discrepancy, but the owners were incredibly nice about it. We appreciated the grace they showed us for the mistake and would definitely stay again.
