Leavenworth Area Idyllic Rustic Modern Log Cabin with Hot Tub

Charming, cozy, warm log cabin meets comfort, luxury, hygge design, and state of the art amenities!

This cabin has been a labor of love for us as we have been carefully enhancing it with modern day finishes / creature comforts - without taking away from the warmth, coziness, and charm of a traditional log cabin.

Loads of parking in front of the cabin including a covered carport area that is super convenient when it snows. Roast s'mores around the fire pit or enjoy the fall colors from the comfort of the rocking chairs on the front porch.

The mudroom / entry area has plenty of room to store all your gear - we provide snow shoes and hiking poles. The entryway leads to a great room which has an oversized dining table, a 65" LG OLED TV preconfigured with all the major streaming services + YouTube TV, a Sonos Arc audio system, a coffee table chest chock full of playing cards/board games/puzzles, a cozy gas fireplace and a 360 degree swivel couch! The attached half bath has a washer + dryer.

The fully stocked galley kitchen has a gas range, a Nespresso + Aerocinno, a Vitamix, and new Bosch appliances.

The home has two master bedrooms each with their own full size bathroom, and a third bedroom with a darling loft your kids will love.

Master bedroom 1 has a Crate & Barrel king sized bed with a hybrid coil mattress while the Master bedroom 2 has a king size Thuma bed with a Helix Twilight coil mattress. The third bedroom has 2 twin size beds, a desk, and a ladder to access the loft.

The back porch has a cabinet with outdoor games, a Weber BBQ grill, a hot tub, a Yellow Leaf hammock and plenty of seating.

All of this is powered by a Gigabit Internet connection, Ubiquiti Wifi6, a heat pump for heating+cooling with backup electric heat.

We've obsessed over all the details! Wanderlust has taken us to over 25 different countries across 5 continents. We have stayed in hundreds of hotels, airbnbs, guests houses - and have drawn inspiration from all of them in getting our place ready for all of you to experience.

Winter getaway

Amazing cabin

We drove over 15thJuly to celebrate my 40th birthday. The cabin was amazing, ( very clean and spacious, had everything we needed in the kitchen and the Espresso machine was a plus). The check in process was easy once we received the information we needed from the host. We also enjoyed the hot tube and the river was within walking distance. Thank you for the gift, that was very thoughtful. We look forward for next time.

Great get away

Cabin had everything we needed. Great appliances, outdoor grill, fireplace and hot tub. Lots of space for our 3 year old grandson and plenty of room for 4 adults to spread out and relax. Thanks for a great trip.

Very clean residence, fully equipped. Lots of room. Owner was very responsive to messages, usually getting back to me within minutes. About 1/2 hour outside of Leavenworth.

Beautiful cabin!

My sister and I enjoyed several days at this wonderful cabin. It was spotlessly clean and comfortably furnished. The beds were wonderful with warm, snuggly linens. The cabin location is beautiful and peaceful. We will definitely return.

Great location, we were 10 minutes to the snow park and our snowmobile trailer with another truck fit in the driveway. Cute cabin had everything we needed. Store only a few minutes away.

Leavenworth Trip

We really enjoyed our stay at this serene cabin. The hosts were very responsive and the house was beautiful. It was a beautiful 30 minute drive into Leavenworth, but there is a very cute town, Plains, just up the road if you need any supplies. We would absolutely stay here again.

Excellent cabin retreat

Clean, spacious, 2 king master suites perfect for 2 couples. Additional bunk bed room and loft space if you have family. Beds were very comfortable and hot tub was nice and warm in the cool evenings. Leavenworth town approx 25 min drive away. Would stay again and recommend!

Perfect getaway for friends from two different states

This property is beautifully decorated and amply supplied with dishes and towels to allow for my husband and I to get together with dear friends from Montana and throughly enjoy Leavenworth as well as enjoy hang out time in the evening. The kitchen was perfect to allow us to cook up meals and enjoy down time in the evening with games and time in the hot tub.

Quiet, relaxing, and sumptuous pillows

Our stay at Ponderoost was delightful - a mom and son getaway just to hang out and binge some movies/tv, play games, and enjoy the non-city hustle. The location was great for our day trip to Leavenworth, but also super close to our zipline tour. Plain Hardware and Grocery/Gas was also close and a fun way to spend an afternoon. Loved the loft with tv and wonderful pillows/linens. Hot tub was nice to have on the one cool day we had. We’d stay again, absolutely!

Seamless and perfect

The check in and check out process was probably the easiest of any place I’ve stayed at. The neighborhood was calm and super quiet, and it’s nice to know you’re not fully alone in the woods. The hot tub was perfect in the snow and cold and the cabin was super cozy while also providing modern amenities. The dishwasher was a lifesaver with all the cooking we did and the overall layout of everything was super convenient. Cabin is really spacious while still feeling cozy, and the owners were very responsive and laid back. A 30 minute drive to Leavenworth tourist town but the scenery is so beautiful that it feels way quicker. Definitely plan on rebooking and making this a yearly thing!

Refresh and Relax

We had a great time. The home is very nice and is very well stocked. Our host was extremely nice and fast to answer any questions/needs we had. The little town of Plain is close and the people are very friendly. Went to the little cafe and had a great meal. I highly recommended this rental, except if I rate too high it will always be booked and I won’t be able to get in again😎

Nice getaway

Lovely home with a peek-a-boo view of the river from the back porch. Super clean and well stocked. Great communication with the owner. Nice fire pit area but could use regular size outdoor chairs as the ones there were too low to the ground for us and not comfortable. We felt a bit uncomfortable with the outdoor surveillance camera, but can understand from an owner’s perspective. Nice walkable neighborhood. We enjoyed our stay, the bbq for grilling steaks and visiting the surrounding areas.

We have lived in Seattle for the past 25 years. Naureen has a background in real estate and Shehryar works with tech startups. During the pandemic we left no stone unturned in our search for the perfect mountain home.

We romanticized about building a modern off grid A frame cabin in a remote, hard to get to location. Then Naureen talked some sense into Shehryar and we got a charming air conditioned / heated log cabin with a very functional layout in the Ponderosa Estates area where the roads are plowed and there is fiber internet access. Even our 15 and 17 year old sons like this setup, especially the Hot Tub and proximity to Stevens for snowboarding.

Wanderlust has taken us to over 25 different countries across 5 continents. We have stayed in hundreds of hotels, pensions, and B&B’s and have drawn inspiration from all of them for this property.

Located in the Ponderosa - 5 min from the charming town of Plain, 20 min from Leavenworth & 30 min to Stevens Pass Ski Resort this cabin is a year round destination.

In the summer it is the perfect adventure base for hiking, tubing, rafting, running, & biking. Winter it turns into Winter Wonderland and perfect for skiing / snowboarding at Stevens, Cross Country Skiing in Plain, and as a base to explore all the Holiday festivities that Leavenworth is known for.

At this time of the year (Winter) we love the proximity to Stevens (go against the flow of traffic on Hwy 2!), we love the magical Winter Wonderland effect that so.much.snow creates, we love Plain Hardware and Cross Country Skiing, and we love going into Leavenworth to get into the Holiday spirit.
