Not very clean
We booked this house for a long weekend stay in the Katy area while visiting family and friends because of the pool. I tried to leave a full review but hit my word limit so here is the short version:
Nice pool if clean (not guaranteed to be clean upon arrival).
Convenient location, close to grocery stores and restaurants.
Bathrooms were disgusting when I arrived, used bars of soap laying around, shower curtain liner covered in pink slime mold, clogged sink, slow draining tub in one bathroom and no drain plug in the other for kids baths.
Carpet upstairs is filthy, multiple stains and a chunk of food or something else stuck in one of the bedrooms in the carpet.
Washer and dryer were full of linens from what seemed to be an incomplete cleaning job prior to arrival. The lint trap looked like it had never been emptied.
No toilet paper (property manager later dropped some off).
Dishwasher was a disaster. Seemed like someone switch it off under the sink and it hadn’t been used in ages because it was full of moldy kitchen items when I first opened it. It also wasn’t anchored to anything so getting it open and closed was a bit of a rodeo each time.
The TV remote was dead and my inquiry to the property manager about if there were any additional batteries in the house was ignored.
Overall, aside from the pool, if I had to do it again I’d rather stay at a Hampton Inn. This is a very nice house managed like a cheap motel. There were other issues but I’m out of characters.
