Kick back and relax in this fully updated, beachside condo. Island Retreat is one of Port A's most popular destinations. This unit is a studio complete with all the modern amenities including: internet, cable, a memory foam mattresses, and a fully stocked kitchen. The complex has a pool, sand volleyball court, basketball court, BBQ pits, and direct access to the beach from the complex! Enjoy everything Port A has to offer for a very reasonable price.
***This is a second-floor unit with stair access only. ***
*Extra passes are $10 per car per night, and you must get with the Island Retreat HOA those extra passes.

Musty smell when we walked in. Very low water pressure in the bath sink and kitchen sink. No place to sit watching the TV. The reviews were not consistent with the reality. Very disappointed.

The property was just as described. Perfect for 2 people or a family with small children. It is very conveniently located. The amenities and beach access were wonderful.

We had a great time at this location! We did run into a hiccup of insane amount of mosquitos, but we asked locals and they said its super bad right now. When an issue arose, the owners were quick to respond, highly recommend!

Perfect Escape

The staff was welcoming and helpful when we arrived. The room was clean and compact but perfect for the two of us. We enjoyed the easy walkability to the beach. The resort’s location is within easy access to restaurants and shopping. By far, the best place that we have stayed in Port Aransas.

Great communication from the owner leading up to our trip and during it. The condo is as expected. You can walk to the beach from the unit so don’t need to drive.

Beach Home

This was my first experience using any kind of house rental and i will never go back to a hotel. The condo was in walking distance of the beach. Beautiful, very comfortable and just what we were looking for. The hostess and her family were very kind and responded quickly with any questions that arose. Very nice place.

The stay was good but would have been nice to receive email confirmation a day or 2 before our arrival. We had to go through customer service to receive our access code for our room which was about a 30 minute process. The room was very nice and clean👍👍

Cozy but comfortable

This studio condo was clean and comfortable, and had everything we needed for my family of 6. The kitchenette and bathroom was well-stocked, and the beds were comfortable. We also used the pool and grilled in the common area, both very nice. We walked to the beach a couple times-long boardwalk to get there, so it’s better to drive with your gear. (Side note: pay the parking permit fee! We learned the hard way!) Had a great time- the host responded quickly to questions. The only thing we wish we had known was that it’s upstairs. Thank you for the hospitality!

Checking was horrible, the onsite property manager is rude and the female security guard is a psycho. The host is really great and understanding (Eviline)! The issue is not with the host but the psycho stalkers that physically work there. My daughter and I had originally planned to go together this weekend and I got sick the day of. My other daughter went with her due to it being a loner drive. I had already contacted my sister to attend and “chaperone” my adult children due to them not being yet 25 years of age. I wish the property manager was as concerned with roaches and maintenance as she was about my children and sister’s whereabouts and activities. Needless to say, my girls walked to the beach while my sister went to get them something to eat so they were not physically on property, but when my sister returned back, the girls came back afterwards, and the property manager or security guard stated that the girls car also needed to be off a property when my sister was not there. Which is extreme due to us being advised multiple times that there are cameras on property, which if there were, they could clearly see my girls leaving on foot and returning once my sister came back. Psycho I tell you, not even exaggerating the situation, wonder if they were hiding in closets they were so far up my family’s ass. Not to mention the extra tenant (ginormous) cockroaches in the unit! Eviline, you are an angel and thank you for clarifying rules and regulations which were followed!

We loved this place! My husband always goes deep sea fishing one day and I stay and find things around the place where we’re staying that I can do some cleaning. I like leaving a place better than I found it. Well, there was no dust on the top of picture frames; no electrical fixtures or outlet covers had dirt from hands; no baseboards or corners needed cleaning; the oven was spotless even under the burners; no walls had spots that could be cleaned. I couldn’t find anything to clean except the front door on the outside. So, I washed the front door. This place is really clean, the cleanest place I’ve ever stayed. And all of the appliances worked well. The fish my husband caught froze over night in the freezer portion of the refrigerator. The location is great. It’s right on the beach, just a 2 minute walk across the wooden bridge to the beach. Everything is nearby, shopping, eateries, etc; The swimming pool in the complex is a very nice pool, 7 ft at the deep end. We were very pleased with everything.
