Your family will be close to everything when you stay at this centrally-located home. Come take a time-out in this modest 3 bedroom 2 bathroom home in quiet neighborhood in Dayton. A perfect central destination for hiking, beautiful lakes, exploring historical points of interest, retreating after a day at a local ski resort or for a restful stop-over from a long road trip!

Spacious home in a quiet and convenient Dayton neighborhood only 20 minutes from Carson City and 15 minutes from Virginia City. Just under an hour from either Reno or Tahoe, you can enjoy a day of skiing, swimming or sight seeing and retreat to the house after your adventures. The Reno airport is 45 minutes away.

There is 1 king bedroom and 2 full bedrooms

The kitchen is equipped with all the essential tools to cook a full meal and includes a Keurig, coffee pot, and air fryer.

Linens, towels, and toiletries are provided. The house also has basic equipment for children including a pack-n-play with mattress, hatch sound machine, toys, color books, plates/bowels etc.

We are a keyless VRBO. You will receive a message with a code 24-48 hours prior to check-in that will unlock the front door. (Just enter the code and the “unlock” button). This code will last throughout your stay.

Please note that there are wild horses that roam the area so don’t be alarmed if you see them in the neighborhood or evidence they have been there

Pet Policy: One pet under 20lbs is allowed for an additional fee. The pet should be house trained. At no time should the pet be left unattended at the home. Please do not allow on any of the furniture. Any messes in the yard should be picked up

This is our third time staying here, and it’s always a very comfortable home away from home. Check in is easy. Heat and air works great, and the kitchen has everything we need.

The house was very nice. I was a little disappointed about the backyard. That was an important feature for us because we have small children. There was a lot of dog waste that was left by a previous visitor, I’m assuming. So my kids couldn’t play outside.

Everything we needed!

This property had everything we needed to have a relaxing fun family weekend. It is located in close proximity to Virginia City and a beautiful drive in to Reno. There was a grocery store nearby and the neighborhood has a park perfect for the kids to play at. Communication as great and checking in to the property was easy!Highly recommend!

Great location for our stay. The whole party (3) enjoyed the location, house and amenities. The house was clean and well equipped. I recommend for anyone staying in Dayton., the house was really very nice, clean and quiet.

Beds were comfy. Plenty of room for five. Six mile drive through scenic canyon to Virginia City. Short drive to Reno or Carson City. On the downside, only 1 of 6 lights over vanity in guest bathroom were working. TV in at least 1 guest room would be nice.

As an alternative to small historic motels we selected this rental. Home is immaculate, spacious, easily accessible and well appointed. Will absolutely be booking again next year if available!

This property was just as comfortable and clean as described. The kitchen was perfect for baking birthday cupcakes with my granddaughter. The house was well-appointed and spacious. The beds were comfortable and the bathroom towels were soft and thirsty. Ram was just great. We arrived after 11 pm and was very responsive to my text asking for help with the entry system. (User error :) We will be back!

Great location and Allergy friendly!

As a family that deals with allergies to scents/laundry soap (fabric softener) we really appreciated the use of allergy friendly laundry soap. House was in a great area and we got to see some of the local horses! Everything was very comfortable and we would be happy to stay there again.

Very Comfortable House

This is the second time we’ve stayed here— the first was in the summer. The air works great when it’s hot and the heat works well in the winter. I wrote more about all the things around here in my last review, so I’ll just reiterate that there are comfortable beds, excellent amenities in the kitchen, great washer and dryer, and awesome bathrooms. There’s even a ping pong table and high chair/play pen if you have children. Very nice neighborhood and clean, well-kept house. We will stay here again.

Short stay for dad’s funeral

This was a fantastic home to stay in. We stayed for two nights and three days. The house is very spacious and all three bedrooms have very comfortable beds and the house is supplied beautifully with bathroom supplies, kitchen supplies and we did not have a younger child but definitely was set up also for a much younger child as well baby/toddler. That is the option somebody is looking for, but it did have games for a younger child as we did have our nine-year-old that loved the ping-pong table in the garage. He enjoyed playing that very much. Very easy transaction to checkin/out. House very clean snd beautiful would definitely recommend to stay as it is a hem and the biew, it wow! .

Very Comfortable!

Our extended family loved staying here while visiting family in the area. The house was clean, in a great neighborhood, and had a well stocked kitchen with plenty of storage. The pictures do not do it justice: it’s a very beautiful home with new flooring and tile countertops everywhere! It looks like they are about to build a stone patio in the back, which would be a nice addition with some chairs to sit on. The air works great, the showers were perfect, and the bathrooms were lovely. A couple reviews mention the need for dressers in the rooms, and I would partially agree; however, there is a lot of closet space in each bedroom (especially the master with a walk-in closet), and they all have shelves to put clothes on also. It is 52 minutes from Zephyr Cove (Lake Tahoe), 18 minutes from Virginia City, and a half mile walk to River Park (which has a several mile walk along the river and it's where the wild horses roam). There are also several great disc golf courses nearby if you're into that. The beds were all extremely comfortable and there are tower fans in every room. The only downfall for us was the 6'2" people staying in the guest rooms said the beds were not very long and had metal footboards thet their feet hit. Overall, I'd give this VRBO a 10/10, especially when you consider the price and newness of the property. We have already booked for Christmas time to visit our family again! some chairs to sit on.

We had a wonderful stay at this Dayton property. The home was spotless, peaceful, and perfect for family time with our grandmother. The quiet neighborhood, open kitchen-living space, and well-equipped kitchen made it easy to relax and enjoy meals together. The selection of games and child-friendly toys was a thoughtful touch. A truly comfortable, family-friendly retreat we’d be happy to visit again.
