Everything you need on one level! The main level of this property has been completely transformed into a modern, open-concept beach-themed living space, designed to invite group conversation.

Our kitchen is stocked with the best of everything! All stainless steel kitchen appliances are new and easy to use, along with all the kitchenware you'll need to cook a full meal.

BEACH HOUSE BATHROOM
Transformed into a beautifully decorated nautical theme, you'll enjoy every detail within this space. From the octopus arms that stretch across the walls, to the brand-new tub, right down to the shiplap whiteboard walls. This bathroom was designed to inspire our guests as they enjoy their stay on the East Coast of Newfoundland.

The house and location were wonderful. Stunning views and abundant marine life (whales, puffins, gannets). The house is in a quiet rural location with a beach and small boat launch just down the road.

The property, a traditional Newfoundland house, has been completely updated into a beautiful seaside retreat. It is very well equipped with numerous unexpected pleasant surprises and niceties. We especially loved using the deck and hot tub!

Fantastic view in a very comfortable cottage on the oceanfront. Wildlife entertained us all day every day. The cottage had everything we needed and was convenient to all attractions in Avalon.

Fabulous Stay

We stayed in the beach house for 4 nights and it was perfect. The house is very comfortable and quiet. The view of the bay is stunning. We enjoyed the hot tub and the relaxing sound of the gulls. Our last night amazed us with a double rainbow and to our delight, there were whales in the bay on our last morning. I would highly recommend this stay!

Wow!

We absolutely loved this place! The views were incredible, the hot tub was so relaxing and the place was spotless. We wanted a quiet calm getaway and this was definitely the perfect choice. So much attention to detail - you can tell the owners really love this place and take pride in it. I love how they honoured their grandmother’s house and shared her story. Absolutely nothing to complain about, great hosts, great location, amazing stay here!!

Burnt cove

Enjoyed our stay. Thank you. It was foggy the whole time so spent a lot more time in the cottage than we planned and enjoyed the downtime. Close to St. John’s which is nice for museums and restaurants.

Burnt Cove

My husband and I stayed at Burnt Cove for 4 nights. The home was tastefully decorated and clean. We found many things to do in the area including the suspension bridge, and playing Where's Waldo the Whale? in Ferryland. The hot tub was wonderful in the evening after running the roads all day. Even when the wind was blowing and it was drizzly! Thanks Nicole for our great stay.

Location, location, location

We all enjoyed the amazing location and spectacular views from the back deck overlooking a range of islands. Only about an hour from St. John's (at most), we felt far away and visited many trails, sites such as Ferryland, and family who still live in the area. The outdoor hot tub was an extra treat.

Beautiful home, beautifully decorated, parking, amazing view of ocean. Sunrises couldn’t be beat. Sadly the hot tub was not hot. Extra towels and bedding would have been appreciated for a group of 4 adult women. Bare minimum of supplies ( condiments, oil, etc ) so cooking was difficult. Not a criticism…just different than other VRBOs we’ve stayed in. Enjoyed our stay.

Idyllic Cottage on the Sea

Phenomenal view, attractively and comfortably furnished, beautifully maintained and spotlessly clean. Nicole, our host, was very responsive, answering any questions in a matter of minutes. We had everything we needed for a 6-night stay, including the use of the hot tub on the deck, a BIG plus at the end of a long day of hiking. Highly recommended!
