Cabin Fever with dock on Cartecay River; HotTub, Pets OK!

Rustic, cozy cabin with large hot tub on Cartecay River with dock. Come relax in Ellijay, tube, kayak, enjoy the large fire pit! This cabin is on the river, however, due to lots of trees and rhododendron bushes, you can hear the river, but you cannot see the river from the cabin. You must take a short path through the trees to get to the river's edge, where you can enjoy the beautiful deep stretch of the Cartecay River. Dogs welcome, $100 each; pls note that only the 1st pet will be charged automatically. Subsequent pets will be charged after the reservation has been made. One service animal is free of charge; ESA pets are subject to the pet fee. Come enjoy Ellijay with nearby wineries, apple orchards, and river/fishing activities galore. Cabin sleeps 6 guests in beds, but we allow 7 guests, if the 7th wants to sleep on couch or if you have a small child that wants to squeeze in. This is a cozy, rustic cabin allowing guests to enjoy nature, and the outdoor beauty of Ellijay!

Such a cozy place! Loved the back porch. Close to downtown. Any time I had a question prior to my reservation, the host, Megan was fast to respond! Very appreciative of all her help. I would highly recommend.

We had such a nice time during our stay. The location is perfect, not too far away from everything but you still have your privacy. The river dock was perfect and the walk to the river was not bad at all. The cabin had plenty of space for our family of 3.

This cabin is perfect for a weekend or week get away. Not too far from Ellijay and winery’s. The dock on the river is perfect and the hot tub was great. Host was friendly and responded in a timely manner. Definitely will rent again in the future.

Overall this place is roomy with a GREAT location! Disappointed with hot tub readiness upon arrival. I sent message the night before asking if hot tub would be warm and ready upon check-in and response was cleaning lady had been asked to check it. It was NOT warm enough to get in until Sunday after we turned up and actually turned on the jets to allow for water flow. There are no clear pictures of kitchen and it’s because it’s is minimal with the fridge not being full size. For us not a problem but for a house full of folks you wouldn’t be able to store a weeks worth of food. There is a keurig but no pods. There is also an old school coffee pot but needs replacing. The porch into the home is very slippery. Especially in rain. It needs pressure washing or some treads down the steps. The beautiful wood burning stove shown in “dock” pictures is COMPLETELY RUSTED THRU and collapsed in so building a fire there is completely out of the question. The only bed we slept in was main level and VERY uncomfortable. Check out instructions made no sense when it came to lines and towels. Overall it would be a great place, especially in summer! I feel that some pictures are very misleading and I feel like if upon booking and sending comment “weekend away with hot tub” would be enough to make sure hot tub is ready but I went above that in sending specific request it was still not met.

Run down door broken outside grill worthless path to river impassable entrance stairs dangerous to use no garbage disposal available trash pilled up outside. No window. Screens no instructions for anything. It system needs upgrade main tv difficult to operate. I spent 2 hours fixing the it system. U owe me money for all I put up with and the things I fixed!!!!!You don’t care about your guests safety or comfort! SHAME ON YOU. U HAVE NO RIGHT TO BE IN THIS BUSINESS!!!

My family gathered from 3 different states to stay here and celebrate our holiday. The listing had not been updated to show changes that had been made to the house so i was upset about that. We had to scramble to figure out sleeping arrangements. 2 people ended up sleeping on a mattress on the basement floor. We had several other issues on the night of arrival. The owner did work with us to get those issues taken care of. Things I liked most about the property was the seclusion. But with that does come horrible phone service. The firepit area was nice, however it could use a few more chairs. My adult children took advantage of the hot tub and loved it. I will say the overall feel of the inside of the house felt like everything had been bought at thrift stores or yard sales. The furniture was uncomfortable and in bad shape. The beds are as hard as sleeping on the floor. The decor throughout the home was either broken or covered in cob webs. The pictures on either side of the bed in the upstairs bedroom were not even hung evenly. There was a bathroom added upstairs recently. Having a 2nd bathroom was definitely a plus. However there is no cabinet space to store your items and only one towel rack to hang towels. That towel rack is around the corner from the shower, so there is no place but the dirty floor to put your towel while showering. Kitchen is small and dirty, stove is nasty, refrigerator is tiny. No blinds on windows in living room so the evening sun will blind you.
