Welcome to ‘Carriewood’, a newly constructed cottage centrally located in the enchanted forest of Little Valhalla, Estes Park. Our contemporary & comfortable home sleeps 6, includes a Hot Tub, Tiny Barn rec room, & BBQ. This property is shared with local wildlife & nestled in the rocks with views of ‘The Notch’ on Longs Peak & Eagle Cliff Mountain. We are only minutes from local restaurants, shopping, & attractions. Rocky Mt National Park is just footsteps from our front porch.

Inside, you will find a comfortably designed living space offering 2 bedrooms, 2 bath, a fully stocked kitchen, granite countertops, dining area with seating for 6 , living area with pull out sofa sleeper, electric fireplace and Smart TV. There is also a laundry room & oversized walk in closet/dressing room for comfortable living.

The Master Bedroom offers views of Longs Peak, a new memory foam King Sized bed, and full bathroom with a bathtub. The Secondary Bedroom looks out at the woods and beautiful rock outcroppings. It includes a new memory foam Queen Sized bed. The additional full sized bathroom is located next to the bedroom.

All windows coverings have "black out" blinds.

Outdoor dining space, a BBQ, & hammock are located next to our Hot Tub on the front porch. Here you will enjoy the Rocky Mt sunshine, as well as night time stargazing. You can also expect visits from Elk, Deer, Bear, Turkeys, Marmot, Hummingbirds & more.

Additionally, we have a historic ‘Tiny Barn’, which looks out at a view of "The Notch". This is a "Toy Box" for all ages. The extra space is furnished with a leather sofa, a TV & dedicated work space. Childrens Toys & books, a collection of RMNP maps, a dart board, Corn Hole, sleds, snow shoes & even a massage chair are some of the extras you will find in this whimsical space. This space can also be used as additional storage for guests.

*Please note that the building is not insulated. A space heater is provided, but it may not be suitable on blustery winter days.

Perfect location, very close to one of the entrances to the Rocky Mountain National park and less than 3 miles from downtown Estes. Couldnt ask for a better location. The cabin was very clean and just as described. The hot tub was a big plus after hiking. The cabin was perfect and it has so many things you can use to spend a great time with family. The cottage with everything in it was a big plus.I will definitely be staying here again no questions asked.

It was a perfect location, I don't think you can get any closer to one of the entrances to the national park. Just a few minutes from Estes Park downtown, the kids loved seeing all the Christmas lights in town. We will be back many more times.

The cabin was just as described, cozy but comfortable. The stay was good, just as expected. Everything was clean and well kept and stocked with everything you need for a comfortable stay. I would stay here again.

Just the perfect place. Well furnished, it had everything we needed. Communication with the host was great. Really enjoyed the hot tub and the view to the woods. Close to the park entrace and litle downtown. Excellent!

Great place and location

We had a great stay! Cabin is nice and the area it’s in is beautiful. Kids enjoyed having the mini barn to hang out in on their own and we all enjoyed the hot tub. Location is super convenient to RMNP and everything in Estes Park.

Ideal Estes Park Retreat

We had a wonderful stay! The location was perfect, close to Rocky Mountain entrance, peaceful and quiet. The house had everything we needed and gave us plenty of space to relax and enjoy our time as a family. We especially loved seeing multiple deer right from the property! We’d definitely come back again.

A truly wonderful property in a quite and peaceful area!

My family and I stayed at this property and absolutely loved it! It was cozy, comfortable, and clean! The home fit our every need. The property is close to RMNP and downtown Estes Park which was great! The home has wonderful amenities (hot tub, kitchen needs) and everything is taken well care of it. Lots of attention to detail. The owner has truly thought of everything guests may need. My kids especially loved the tiny barn with games, toys and outdoor equipment. I would highly recommend this property, and the location is great. We hope to return in the future!

Beautiful cabin in a very convenient location, close to Rocky Mountain National Park and Estes Park! Immaculately clean and comfortable. Amenities were thoughtfully provided. We had an absolutely wonderful time staying at Carriewood! Note: Minor nuisance was the road leading up to the property, which had bad potholes, but that isn’t the fault of the owner and did not detract from our stay.

Wonderful Christmas getaway!

My family and I had a wonderful time staying here! Everything was as described and the host was great with communication. Comfortable beds and pillows. We ended up arriving later than planned and it was a little hard to find the cabin in the dark, but we figured it out. Would definitely recommend!

Perfect cabin with lots of amenities!

This is our 8th year staying in the Eagle Cliff neighborhood and we are so thrilled to have found the Carriewood cabin! The house is more spacious than you would think, looking at it from the outside. It sits facing the west, so we had great views of Eagle Cliff mountain. We saw deer and elk coming down to the neighborhood each evening. The cabin itself is well-appointed, bright, and clean. We especially appreciated the air mattress for our son so we didn’t have to pull out the sleeper sofa each evening. The man-cave/she-shed was perfect for playing games and watching movies in the evening. Theres fun options for activities as well! The hot tub was wonderful, we used it primarily at night because it was quite hot this week during the day. The only minor downside to the cabin was no a/c so it did get quite toasty during the day, even with blinds down and fans going. It does cool down significantly at night, so that did keep the temp overall very comfortable in the cabin. The instructions in the house were clear and concise. Carrie was a great communicator and host. She not only came and cleaned the hot tub the first day we were there, but gave a great recommendation for an excellent coffee shop right up the road (Spice Rack!). We were there during a week of wildfires and Carrie was very helpful in that regard, easing our nerves but also being realistic about any potential concerns. Highly recommend and look forward to coming back soon! Our new ‘home’ in the Rockies!

Perfect Spot!

This little cabin (and mini game cabin) is 5 minutes from downtown Estes Park in a quiet little mountainside community. Clean, comfy furniture, two private bedrooms including a master with bath and big walk-in closet. Well designed so it feels bigger than it looks. Perfect place on the outskirts of RMNP so close to all hiking and scenic drives. Mule deer on the property daily if you’re into nature and wildlife. Awesome communication with Carrie throughout the process. Well kept home shows pride of ownership. Hot tub was a nice option after some long days.

Additionally, I manage 'The Owls Nest' , a 30 Day + Stay Mountain Condominium located at the Historic 18 Hole Golf Course in Estes Park. These comfortable & stylish accommodations are located near numerous eateries, attractions and are visited by a variety of wildlife.

For those of you who stayed at "The Farm' in Mead, it is under new ownership, with lots of similarities and fun upgrades in the works.
