Embrace the beautiful outdoors at our property (Rancho Sendero Correo) where wildlife, scenery, and serenity abound. Our 4 bedroom / 3.5 Bathroom historic home was recently remodeled and outfitted with high end furnishings. The history of the home dates back to the late 1800s as the area's stagecoach and post office stop along Cherry Creek with a pond, irrigated pastures, pine-studded ridges, and mountain views. The home has been outfitted to be the ultimate vacation rental with King beds, pool table, hot tub, two living spaces, Roku Streaming TV, high speed WIFI and streaming, fully stocked kitchen and wrap around deck with comfy outdoor furniture. There is no garage access.

Located on over 300 acres of lush Southwestern Colorado landscape, your possibilities for relaxation and adventure are unlimited. Spend your morning sipping on coffee at the breakfast bar, in front of the fireplace, or walking along the hiking/mountain biking trails laid out by Durango Trails, a local nonprofit trails organization. Winter activities include opportunities for snowshoeing, sledding, and cross-country skiing in the 38-acre meadow.

With open scenery and views, you’ll never miss a sunrise or sunset casting an alpine glow on the surrounding landscapes

Historic downtown Durango is only 20 minutes away while the smaller, but equally charming town of Mancos is just 13 minutes away.

Bed Configuration:

Main Bedroom: California King (Main Floor)
2nd Bedroom: King (Second Floor)
3rd Bedroom: King and Bunk (Second Floor)
4th Bedroom Cupola Tower: Bunk and Twin Bed (Third Floor - Up Spiral Staircase)

This home is pet friendly! We allow a maximum of 2 dogs max and the pet fee is $40/day (for a max $250 per stay).

Note there is also a 2 bed/ 1Bath guest house on the property that is also a vacation rental approximately 50 yards from the cabin. As such, you may encounter other guests enjoying the pond, trails, and meadows, unless you opt to rent the entire ranch for your visit. Also, please note this is a working ranch and you may see ranch hands and other workers on the 300-acre property during your stay, but we will always do our best to allow for your privacy to the best of our abilities so you can fully enjoy your time here. We are continuing to make improvements with future plans in progress for the historic barn renovation to host events, additional construction of more cabins to host additional guests, and miles of hiking, biking, and cross-country trails.

Book at least a week and a 10% discount is automatically applied (Excludes Christmas/New Years).

Stay with us and we offer DISCOUNTS on both summer (white water rafting, horseback riding, etc.) and winter (ski/snowboard rentals, sleigh rides, snowmobile tours, etc.) activities.

Cancellation Policy: A non-refundable payment of $300 is required at the time of booking. This $300 payment is applied toward the total amount due and is only refundable within 72 hours of the time of the booking is made. If your arrival date is within 30 days of booking, payment in full is required at the time of booking. Cancellations or changes to stay dates, including changes that result in a shortened stay, are not permitted within 30 days of arrival, and any such changes will result in a penalty. Cancellations or changes that are made within thirty (30) days of the arrival date, forfeit the entire reservation amount while cancellations made more than thirty (30) days in advance of your arrival only forfeit the $300 payment made at the time of booking. For reservations that are at least thirty (30) nights, the cancellation policy above increases to sixty (60) days prior to the arrival date. We do offer travel insurance.

A Great Getaway
We had such a nice time! There was room for everyone and we had everything we needed. The kids loved the pool table and the trails. We loved the comfy couch and the views. If we'd had time to stay longer, we would have definitely considered it. It was a beautiful time to spend with our family in a beautiful place. Thank you!

Beautiful home in a perfect location!
Home was close to Mesa Verde National park and Durango. We had so much to do such as zip lining in Durango and paddle boarding on Nighthorse Lake. But, you never have to leave the house. There are 300 acres to explore. We brought two dogs with us and felt like they were welcome. They even had water bowls for our dogs. We cleaned up after them so we can bring them back some day. I would love to visit again!

What a shame to have only slept here!
Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Three couples met at this vacation rental between Mancos and Durango. It is just off highway 160. The area around the house was breathtaking and would have been great to explore and to just relax a day there. Again, what a shame to have just slept there as we were being pretty standard tourists in the area visiting all the things there is to do from the "Train" to Mesa Verde and more.We had a few issues with the remote controls not working for the TVs and one light and fan and a bad GFCI outlet in one of the bedrooms, but it was all fixed without problem or issue! We later found, and did report, a couple of minor plumbing issues and we know that they will be addressed. We were a little surprised to find that the house had a Jack and Jill bathroom for the upstairs bedrooms, which had no locks. We weren't sure how to share that bathroom with the couple that was in the other bedroom. We decided to let them use the J&J bathroom and we used the bathroom downstairs. That bathroom could use some hooks for hanging towels and clothes, (locks too). Not a real fan of putting my clean clothes on the floor or toilet. There wasn't a lock on that door either. The pkgs of lotion and shampoo were very nice along with the supplies in the kitchen. The house was basically very clean. I did sweep dog hair that was in the breeze way off the kitchen and also in the laundry room. The beds were very comfortable and we enjoyed all the space in the kitchen and living room along with sitting around the beautiful dining room table.We would, without a doubt, rent this house again! Issues were handled immediately and the management company was really easy to contact and work with. It sure beat the other businesses/sites! Wish they were all this easy to do business with. The owner was awesome as well! Glad a made a call to some realtors in Durango!
