We chose this Villa because I love sunsets and we were not disappointed. The sunsets and early morning moonsets were incredible. The living room pool is unique and was super refreshing on hot days. We enjoy cooking while traveling and found the kitchen to be well equipped. Cateredto provided us with some startup snacks, coffee and wine which was also appreciated. The landscaping, trees and flowers were gorgeous. The location of the villa is convenient to the markets within a short driving distance. The bathrooms were very clean and the outdoor showers spacious and fun! We stayed two weeks and appreciated use of the laundry room. Our stay at Villa Adagio was amazing.

The house itself is beautiful, functional and comfortable and has great sunset views (especially in the earlier part of the year). The indoor pool is a great and fun feature. You can always find sun on the deck and shade in the beautiful yard on the other side of the house. The house is always very clean and has everything you could need. It is located only a few minutes from Cruz Bay and right up the road from one of three nearby grocery stores and just a few minutes from the car ferry. This house also puts you within easy reach of the north shore beaches. Over the years we have had to contact the managing agent and whatever issue we had was resolved quickly. The locations of the three bedrooms provides great privacy. I personally love the outdoor showers. We have tried other villas in several areas on St. John, but we do not even look for other homes anymore. Villa Adagio is it for us. I can't recommend it enough.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: My wife and I visit St John almost annually. It is a peaceful environment in which we can recharge from the stress of life. Our most recent trip had us staying at the Villa Adagio. Nestled between Great Cruz Bay and Chocolate Hole, this home is perfectly positioned for peace and quiet, yet only moments away from Cruz Bay proper. There are several near by markets to gain provisions. The home boasts an indoor swimming pool right in the middle of the living room! A little cold, but very refreshing! In addition, there are three master bedrooms, all equally setup!Outside spaces are tranquil and inviting on both sides of the home. The rear deck is perfect for sunset watching and sunning during the day, the front patio is a nice place for coffee in the morning or dinner at night.We ventured out for most dinners, Greengos, St John Brewery, La Tapa, Zozo’s, 1864, High Tide, and Ocean 362 were all outstanding in both food and service. Lemongrass at the Westin had very good food but the service was not good at all.I scuba dove with Low Key Watersports and highly recommend their services. We also did several hikes, Leinster Bay Trail & Ram Head Trail were our favorites. Do yourself a favor and tackle Ram Head in the morning if strong sun and high temps are called for the day you go!

Nice house but

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This house was very nice. There were however some problems. There was at 1st a greater who asked us to meet her at Stardish market. Of course we weren't able/willing to. The music system at the house wasn't addressed, explained. The safes in a few rms were inoperable. Some of the biggest problems were in the kitchen. Poorly equipped! No roasting pans, some of the plates were chipped, some stirring tools couldnt be found. We were unable to operate one of the 3 burners on the grill. There was no laundry detergent in the laundry room and we couldnt find backup paper towels.Some of the table lamps had burned out bulbs. No replacements were found. Cleaning day which was rescheduled never materialized. Only after our call was a quick cleaning done. The pool, as inviting as it was, was chilly rendering it useless to us. We were under the impression that there would be a hot tub. See the floorplan and use reviews advertised with the listing. Catered to leaves much to be desired to as managers in addressing our needs.

A home away from home.

Reviewer Comments: We have been coming to St. John for almost 25 years and have stayed in many accommodations, but once we stayed in Villa Adagio, we determined that was our go-to spot. We had stayed there for years before the hurricanes of 2017 destroyed it and were thrilled to be able to get back to this year. The rebuild maintained the integrity and quality that we had appreciated in the original home. Villa Adagio is beautiful, comfortable, functional and convenient to town. We required maintenance to come out for a minor issue and they were extremely responsive and resolved the issue efficiently.The front and back outdoor space alternate between sun and shade so you can always find what you are looking for.The pool is refreshing as well as quite a conversation piece.The morning view of the bay is serene and the evening sunsets are stunning.This is an overall great villa!
