Country Farmhouse close to Nashville

Bring the whole family to this great place with lots of room for fun. The farm is secluded but close to I65. This house is located where an old stagecoach inn originally stood. Guests stayed here while traveling on the old Louisville Nashville turnpike before the state of Tennessee was formed. The rock bridges were created in the early 1800s. The game room, screened in porch and creek are great for enjoying time away with family and friends.
The space
Beds and linens are super comfortable and clean. Carpets have some fun stains from my grandkids It is an old farmhouse.

Goodlettsville Farm house

Lindsey responded quickly to our emails and texts. The area around the house is a little odd particularly with individual, who appeared to be homeless, loitering around the entrance to the lane. The home is large and allows for plenty of individual space. Our primary problems were the oven door which had to be shaken and realigned several times to get it to latch so the oven would heat. The burners on the countertop stove probably need replacing as even small pans took forever to heat and cook items. We had rented the property close to the wedding venue in order to prepare food for a large crowd the night before the event. It was extremely difficult to cook in the kitchen even after Lindsey brought and instapot and large pot. They need to replace full size beds (in the two upper level bedrooms and guest room with at least queen, but preferable king beds. For adults, most now have king size beds which would make this a better rental. We also had problems with streaming. We had a small 24” tv in the master bedroom (again the recommendation would be a large TV in the den and bedrooms)We moved it to the den in order to get it closer to WiFi and were then able to stream services (the rental has Roku sticks but no actual TV, cable or dish services). The one large TV in the living room was never accessible to a streaming app so was useless. I did suggest they add a Wifi extender to allow one to use this TV. Would also recommend adding more oven ware and a crockpot.

Pictures don’t do it justice

This house was an excellent home base for our first trip to Tennessee. We visited family and played tourist, making a day trip to Chattanooga and one to the Alvin York House in addition to many local activities. Weather was in the 90s and every evening we came back to a cool & comfortable house. The inside is as described and more spacious than you would think from the photos. The living spaces have very comfy couches, and the dining room sat all 6 of us plus our 3 local family members. The bedrooms are all generous in size and the location of the master offers some privacy. The kitchen was adequate, I might suggest a cutting board & a vegetable peeler (unless I just missed them). There were plenty of plates, glasses, mugs, utensils and a basic variety of spices. When twice a wasp paid a visit inside the home the owner came immediately to deal with the issue. Another reviewer had mentioned interstate noise - we used a white noise APP and barely heard it. We had plenty of hot water and water pressure was great, the host supplied plenty of towels. We traveled with an adult family member in a wheelchair (manual medium sized chair) who is unable to move herself. We were able to tip her wheelchair easily to enter the home, and maneuver her easily around the house.

property is 1970's time period rebuilt, for a family very nice, all beds are currently full size. Master bedrooms bathroom could use a hand rail for getting up off commode, and master bath shower leaks on tile floor during shower. Just suggestions to upgrade, Kitchen is wonderful

Spacious and fun

The house is large with multiple sitting areas both inside and outside. The kitchen is well equipped. The beds are comfortable. We enjoyed all of the games and activities that were provided. The house was clean but showing some signs of age. The cows in the fields were fun to watch. Unfortunately, the fields surrounding the property are surrounding by I65, industry, major roads, and a train track. Road noise can be heard inside and may disturb a light sleeper.

Perfect for groups/families

I can’t say enough about this place! First of all, if you are traveling with family to Nashville, this is your place! Super close to hop on 65! Plenty of room for everyone to sleep comfortably ( nice sheets and towels) and plenty of room to spread out in the house. There is literally something for everyone. Large screened in area outside, pool table…pac-man…even a small room with toys and books for younger kiddos. Two separate living rooms and dining room made it super easy for us to spread out so some could play games, some could nap or watch tv…and of course plenty of room to eat. They really thought of everything!!! The huge farmhouse is modest in furnishings but definitely made us feel at home. Super clean too!
