please note this is unit is not handicap accessible. With the bar and grill being downstairs there is some potential for noise.

The Lodge was exactly as described. It was clean, quiet and provided a convenient location to the many activities that occur along the Mississippi River. Loved it....oh, for 100% transparency - I worked for the BN RR (now the BNSF RR) along the Mississippi River. So, yes, at night, one did hear the occasional whistle of trains. However, since that's how America gets many of its goods - by rail - it was not disturbing to us. Ear plugs were provided by the Host or you need to bring your own noise machine if you are a light sleeper. The sound of a train at night is pure music and you will come to love the fact there are people working the midnight shift for all of us. We loved the place.

I chose this place primarily because of the large, private deck, which was wonderful! The inside is also as pictured, clean and simple. As other reviews have said, there is some noise from the bar downstairs. It initially wasn’t bad—more like white noise—but kept getting louder with music and shouting until bar close at 2:30am. (I was there on a Saturday.) If you’re a light sleeper and you’re hoping for a peaceful night, look elsewhere.

PRE 4th Get awzu

My husband and just wanted a short scenic drive yo a quaint river town and Alma deluveref. This was a small cizy spot clise to everything. I could hear music from Bar beliw but not too loud and they were quiet by 11pm. Great sized deck to use!

Weekend getaway

Great place to stay on a budget. Clean and comfortable. It’s above a bar so there is a little noise but not bad at all. The trains are louder than the bar. My one wish is that the kitchen would have had a table for four so we could play games inside when it was chilly outside. The patio was great during the day.

Loved the private deck! The two day stay was perfect. We had everything we needed after long days hiking. We also enjoyed the Red Ram bar below where they serve a well-poured drink and bar food. Thanks for your hospitality!

cute place with a HUUUGE deck!

quirky entrance, thru heavy gates and stairs. The place is cute and comfortable. Bar music below stopped promptly at midnight on a friday nite. Wish it had a hair dryer, but the coffee creamer was appreciated!

Great little apartment

Nice, clean little apartment. The deck was bigger than it looked in pics and was a nice, private place to sit outside. Everything was clean and stocked. There is potential for noise from the bar and the fact the town has a railroad running right next to it, but it was not excessive or disruptive to me. Alma is a beautiful town and I’d happily come back to this property.

Sweet spot in a picturesque town

The apartment is private and peaceful, even though it sits above a bar. Late night there's some music, but it was from next door not downstairs, and not a problem. Bed was super comfortable. Nice sheets and towels, fresh flowers to greet me. If you're picky about coffee (like me), I'd suggest bringing your own beans. No fancy coffee shops in town, but sipping your own brew on the patio is pretty sweet!

Was a great little place to stay on a beautiful river town. Very clean, and no extra noise from the bar below. Really enjoyed sitting out on the spacious back deck as well. Would definitely book again. Thank you.

Wonderful weekend place

My wife and I stayed here for one night and thoroughly enjoyed it. It's conveniently located right downtown. The place was clean and modern. The host was accommodating and responsive. And the deck, I might bring a cot and sleep out there next time. It's huge, private and beautiful.
