I chose this home because I live in the neighborhood and had 4 guests coming to town. The area is upper middle class with beautiful old and mid century homes. The main rooms (kitchen , dining room ,living room and bedrooms were clean . The house is listed with 3 full baths and a 1/2 bath. There are only 2 full baths. The 1/2 bath had cobwebs and spiders. The rec room shown in listing is locked.The kitchen had wine glasses and coffee mugs but only 1 regular glass. We did not use the stove, oven or microwave. The refrigerator dishwasher and freezer were fine. The door to the house is difficult to open. We called the host and he tried to help us through to get in. It requires a lot of strength to push open the door. The door remained difficult to open. Once you step into the threshold of the house you could fall down the basement steps because there is no door on the basement. There are throw rugs throughout the house that are not secured well to the wood floor. There is a rug in the upstairs hall several of us tripped on. My bed did not have a top sheet so I only had a blanket. I wondered when the blanket was last washed. There were no sheets in the hall closet and just a few towels lots of washcloths and lots of pillows. Took blankets off unused beds.The house has radiator heat. The radiators did not work in 2 bedrooms. The host did not respond to text.We found the dryer was full of items. Needless to say I was disappointed.
