Beautiful lake front home situated in a quiet cove. Perfect place to decompress. Home rental includes your own private sandy beach, dock, canoes, kayaks, paddle boat, barbecue grill, and a fire pit. Lake offers good water quality and excellent fishing. Home is rural yet close to restaurants, grocery store, gas stations, recreational trails and golf courses. It’s fully furnished with 7 queen beds and 4 bunk beds, wi-if and a washer and dryer. This lake doesn’t have any boat restrictions. Just bring your cloths and personal items and have fun.

What a wonderful, huge place. Plenty of room to spread out and enjoy the house, decks, boats and dock. Perfect for a large extended family! We hope to be back!!!

Wonderful lake house in Maine!

Marcia's place was perfect for our large extended family. The kids and adults loved the gameroom, and we also enjoyed the firepit and taking kayaks out to explore the lakes. There is also a great store and even a brewery within 5 min. Marcia was also very responsive and answered all our questions quickly. We would definitely stay again!

Graduation Weekend

We had a large group in for a college graduation weekend. The house was the perfect setting with an awesome property ideal for a family barbecue! The lake and overall setting reminded us of everything we love about Maine.

Fantastic Family Retreat

The property and amenities were great, especially the lake -- and as advertised. Marcia was helpful - and brought cake! - but was otherwise unintrusive. Great location - one hour from Portland. Hope to be back.

We had a great week

We had a great vacation. The house was great! There was plenty of space for all of us. Kitchen and pantry worked really well for us. Our only disappointment was the amount of pond grass. The pond was great for floating off the dock and kayaking, but the shallow water was overgrown with grass and other plants making it difficult for the young children to play in the water.

The PERFECT family getaway

If you're not renting this property for your family lake trip, you're messing up! This house has everything you could possibly need for a large family stay. The lake access and watercraft were amazing, the game room was a huge hit, and there are personal rooms for everyone with TVs in each space. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you need for cooking and the house can accommodate a large group inside in the event that it rains during your dinner party. Bonus: if you open your windows at night, you can hear the loons calling from the pond. I would absolutely recommend this space for any large groups looking for a quintessential Maine lake vacation.

The Buker Lodge

Our family had a great vacation at the Buker Lodge! It is a beautiful lake front home! Our family really enjoyed fishing from the dock ,the canoes, kayaks, and the paddle boat, too! The home was clean, comfortable and it accommodated our family of 13 adults. The view from the home overlooking the lake was amazing. Marcia and Bill are truly premier hosts! Marcia provided our family with a delicious cake when we arrived and answered all of our questions concerning our stay. Our family would recommend this home for a relaxing vacation! l

Spacious, well-located vacation home

My extended family of 17 (children and elders alike) spent a week at this spacious and well-located vacation home. There were enough bedrooms and bathrooms for us to have privacy and comfort. The property is located right on a pond with a well-maintained dock. The owner provided kayaks, paddles and PFD's so that we didn't have to bring our own. The kids loved playing in the pond and the adults enjoyed kayaking around the sizable pond. When we arrived at the property, the house hadn't been used all season and it smelled a little musty. Once we got the air conditioner going and/or opened the windows it helped to freshen the place up. The kitchen appliances are on the older side and the pots, pans, utensils, knives are not the best. We made it work and we were grateful to have a nice outdoor grill to use for several meals. There is no hot tub as indicated in the listing.

Wedding Anniversary Trip To Maine

We came to Maine to celebrate our 50th Wedding Anniversary with our children and grandchildren. Our group was comprised of 16 people, two 2 years olds, two 5 year olds, an 11, 13 and 15 year old, and 9 adults 37 to 71. The house was great! Plenty of bedrooms for our group. The house setting is amazing; right on Buker Pond with an incredible view of the water. Plenty to do at the house with a well equipped game room, pier for fishing, swimming and relaxing, canoe, kayaks and paddle boat. Centrally located with easy access to pick your own blueberries (or whatever is in season) at Chicks Apple & Berry Farm, fresh produce at Applewald Farms, a very nearby grocery store, reasonable drives times to Portland, Brunswick, Bath, Freeport, Popham Beach and Boothbay. Marcia and Bill were great hosts going so far as to provide us with a lobster pot and propane burner and a port-a-crib and high chair. Communication was prompt and helpful. Our 5 year old granddaughters said they never wanted to leave!
