We all had such a wonderful stay!! Ages 75, 62, 37, 34, and 32. Frequent comments on how "perfect" this home was, because it felt like home. We had space to ourselves as needed, but such a great communal design for time together. No need to look any further next time- great location, great deal!!

The rental company was very communicative. We were disappointed that the wood stove didn't work. I think that it would have heated up the place. It was cold at night even with the heat on. But over all it was a good place to stay. Our family had a good time at the cabin.

Great ski and vacation location !

We loved our stay, the accommodations, and the location. I appreciate the communication from the management team. We came prepared with a 4x4 truck, Three-Peak Mountain SnowFlake (3PMSF) rated tires, snow chains, and winter mountain experience. The snow in Big Cottonwood Canyon is legit. Come prepared and enjoy the deep Utah POW ! ! !

Great location

Management company was very communicative. Definitely a tricky road to get up and down once you left the canyon road. We thought the chalet was excellent but relayed a few items to the management company that needed attention.

Ski vacation

House was great. Mattresses in one room could use an upgrade. Listing was accurate about needing chains when it snows.

The cabin was lovely and we had a very nice stay. Communication from the lodging company was great and very informative. The outside is definitely more "weathered" than the photo. It is dark at night so getting to the place was an adventure. But once you figured it out it was fine. Inside was very clean but there was a musty smell in the upstairs bathroom. The fan in the bedroom was great as it was hot! Not sure if the other rooms had them.

Epic snow

We stay during an epic amount of snow fall. The place was a good size for a group of guys on a snowboarding trip. Great location, about a minute from Solitude, and about 4min from Brighton. It has a good rustic cabin feel. It's a little dated and the private road to the cabin can be sketchy when there is lots of snow. Make sure you have 4-wheel drive, Good tires, and/or snow chains. You will need them. Great price for what we needed. Would rent again.

Great cottage. Difficult to access w/o 4x4, snow tires AND chains

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We really enjoyed this cabin. Well laid out and appointed. We gathered with our family from all over Utah who have plenty of experience driving in very snowy mountain conditions and yet there were two occasions this weekend when it was impossible to get up to our cabin without chains on the trucks as well. We were stuck twice on the road and the neighbors, although kind, were very tired of "guests" getting stuck and needing assistance. The road up to the cabin needs more maintenance and care to be comfortably accessible for guests during the winter.

Cozy Cabin with an awesome Fireplace

Views of the mountains were amazing and we could walk right to a hike. The cabin is so close to skiing at Solitude or Brighton and still not far from Salt Lake City to venture in for dinner. We had an awesome time. Cottonwood Lodging was very responsive and even guided us up the steep hill in the snow to our cabin upon check in.
