Close to the water... only 250 yards to the beach! This lovely, award-winning & private property is on 2.5 Acres bordering Angostura Lake State Park!! Your family will enjoy what may be about the only rental-cabin “lake property” in the Black Hills! This new-in-2017 approximately 2,600 square foot custom built lake home, features five bedrooms, with one of the bedrooms being a 12 x 23 loft and two full baths. Two bedrooms, each with a queen bed, are on the main floor. The loft area has two sets of bunk beds to sleep four or more people with an additional futon present. The two lower bedrooms sleep five, with a queen sized bed in one and bunk beds in the other.

The custom cabin has a custom spiral staircase, granite counter tops, propane fire pit overlooking the lake & park, covered 14' deck, large 65" screen TV, with Bose-wifi -soundbar, horseshoe pit, 19' cathedral ceilings and comfortable furnishings. Your family will enjoy relaxing and unwinding with the lovely views of the hills & sunsets over the lake!

Walk or drive the very short distance to the long sandy beaches, waterfront & beaches. Between lake and the house: Feel free to feel the wind in your hair on the approx. four bikes on the new five-mile beach-front bike path along the lake!! Your group will enjoy clean air, multiple beaches, views of the lake to the south, and the beautiful Black Hills & amazing sunsets to the west!

Walleye fishing is a favorite at this lake!! As is the famous and gorgeous award-winning Southern Hills 18 Hole Golf Course, nationally-famous Mammoth Site, Cascade Springs (amazing swimming hole/waterfall) and great restaurants in Hot Springs.

World class spa nearby .... check out Mocassin Springs in Hot Springs, only about 12 minutes away. This is a destination you won't want to miss. Make your reservations in advance.

Enjoy the paddle board and two kayaks stored in the two car garage. Lake is approximately 1 mile x 6 miles long at the base of the Black Hills. It is considered by most Black Hills residents to be the number one lake in terms of: Large beaches (including beach volleyball and a new beach grill/restaurant called Inferno), Warmest Water, the newish 5-mile bike bath and fun lake recreational opportunities.

While there many lodge options in the Black Hills, now there's a great and new “lake place” option available! This home can accommodate up to 14 people. More friends could stay with the large RV pad option featuring a 50 amp hookup (see extra cost).

Convenient Location: The home is located at the “Long’s Area” on the conveniently-accessed east side of Angostura Lake. It's only about two miles off Highway 79, heading south from Angostura Den. Horse Head Campground is just across the road from the Cabin. There is ample parking on the 2.5 acre site for your boat and vehicles.

This home is near the boat ramps and about 5 miles from Hwy 79. The Custom Built Cabin is a short 12 minute drive to Hot Springs SD and approximately a 30 minute drive to Custer State Park, with Mount Rushmore not far from there. Your family will love seeing the Black Hills from this wonderful location!

Peaceful, quiet getaway

Property has a phenomenal view. It is at the front of the other homes there so you feel alone with no one around. Family enjoyed our time there. Plenty of space for all. It is more remote and you have to drive to Custer, Mt Rushmore, etc but it’s really not that far to anything. No more than an hour.

Lake Angestora Lake House

Very impressed with the cabin and the property. Check in was easy, owner was also friendly and very communicative, property is on a great location next to a beautiful lake. Overall everyone in our group enjoyed the stay very much. Would do it again!

He’s a licensed Realtor since 1993 and obtained the CCIM (Certified Commercial Investment Member) Designation in 2020, considered to be similar to a master's degree in Commercial Real Estate. Only 6 percent of commercial real estate practitioners hold the coveted designation. President of the Board and Chairman of the South Dakota Children’s Home Society in 2017-2018. lBobby started this property in 2017 also called Angosturalakehouse.com. The Sundby or SUNBEE Real Estate Team, currently led by Bobby and Kathy, has been an industry leader for decades. Bobby is also a certified PSIA Alpine Ski Instructor. He also has a passion for music playing current or past groups such as Crash Wagon and the Lonely Rangers, opening directly for bands such as Night Ranger, Nitty Gritty Dirt Band and Blood Sweat & Tears.
