Great place!

The home was great for our group. Lots of space and rooms for everyone. My only suggestion is hand towels in the bathrooms (we actually went and bought some) and towel racks in the bathrooms.

Host never gave us info on how to stay there and we and vrbo couldn't contact them either the town home looked overgrown and way under kept

Nice place but lacking in basic essentials with BOTH service and cleaning fees.

The towels placed directly on the toilet were off-putting, and the lack of bath mats made showers inconvenient. There were no kitchen towels, no hand towels in the bathrooms, and only one washcloth for four people, which just isn’t adequate. Also, we were surprised there were no towel bars.The home itself was very clean and nicely presented, but for the service and cleaning fees charged, we expected a bit more attention to these basic details.

Clean and close

This was a great spot for us. 15 minutes to anywhere that we wanted to go. House is very clean and you can tell that the owners try to make it nice for their guests. Thank you! A little closer to some train tracks than I would like but the others in our group weren't phased by the noise.

Family Fun

Very easy to access the property. Close to everything. Nice size home, everyone had their own space. Would be a great place for 3 couples and the price is right. Just a couple suggestions when sending details after booking the property. Leave the WIFI password along with the instruction booklet in the hallway. Also, bring cleaning needs. ie. bathroom hand soap, kitchen soap along with paper towel. Thank you for a great stay. Will be back next year.

Unresponsive owner

We were not actually able to stay in the property because the owner did not communicate the door code until 18 hours after we were supposed to check in. We went through a nightmare with VRBO and in the end had to check into a hotel.

I am so sorry Amy you were not able to reach me, while I was on a flight and the messages I sent you didn’t reach you in time. I have since added a back cohost to assist incase of a last minute booking that I might not be reachable right away.

Not as nice as pictures showed

The up stairs floor squeaks terribly. You hear it at night when someone walks on the floor (or anytime someone is walking on the floor) Dryer takes forever to dry. The walls all need painting. The lawn had not been mowed in what looked like a month. Not enough pans, dishes, utensils, or towels. There was no instruction book for Wi-Fi password or check out instructions, that we could find. One of the outside trash cans were already full and a bunch of junk was sitting beside the trash cans. Place is much smaller than the pictures look. The second bedroom was to have a queen size bed, as stated in the listing, but only has a full. There is no extra parking as cars were parked in front of the house the whole time we were there. Only one car fits in the driveway. Was disappointed in this VRBO.

Thank you Debbie for your feedback. I am sorry that the listing didn’t meet all your expectations. I am surprised that you felt that the floor was squeaking, the house is literally 2 years old, no other guest has experienced that before. Nevertheless I will do a walk through to double check. We have listed one parking space on the driveway and there is plenty of off street parking. I am sorry you missed the wifi instructions hanged on the wall next to the TV, but am glad that when you contacted me, I pointed it out for you. Otherwise I have noted the other few areas of concern and will address them. Thank you again for staying with us.

no response from manager/owner

We could not get into the unit upon arrival because the manager never provided the access code for the door. tried contacting them through text and phone, but got no response and only an answering machine. After multiple hours of no response figured the unit was a scam and that we were ripped off. ended up booking hotel rooms for 6 people at a cost of 850. later that evening finally heard from the owner, we moved to the unit since it allowed all of us to stay in one location, but the hotel would not provide a refund. I would expect VRBO to provide the 850 refund if not a full refund for this unit for our additional expenses to make up for all the trouble and hassle we endured not being sure if we were going to have a place to stay for the weekend, and for having to move from one place to the other multiple times. I expect some type of compensation or full reimbursement of my expenses due to the poor management of this rental. The owner once he finally responded had no idea we were even booked for the rental and didn't know who we had even booked through. The place had not been cleaned prior to our stay, we had to strip and wash the dirty sheets that were strewn on the bed and the wet towels, as well as having to clean the bathrooms and kitchen with disinfecting cleaner. There were multiple bags of trash sitting outside the unit and the curtain rod in the living room had one side pulled out of the wall as well as a hole in the wall near the dining table.

Mixed Experience in Cozy Townhouse

Positives: The location was great and the neighborhood was mostly quiet. Negatives: - It was difficult to sit the 5 members of my family in the living area because the couches weren’t too accommodating. - We had check in issues, the cleaner was still cleaning the house when we arrived and was not aware we were coming that day, even though our reservation was for the day before Thanksgiving. - The tv in the living room was not functional and the lack of batteries in the remotes made it difficult to troubleshoot. - There were no instructions to the house detailing trash disposal, check out details, and operating the house. - The beds were incorrectly sized, 2 of the queen beds were actually full beds. This should be updated in the listing. - There was a lack of essential items in the kitchen and bathrooms, including toilet paper, hand soap, and dish soap. - There was a limited about of dish ware, especially bowls, there were no eating bowls provided, we had to use mugs instead. - There was an overflow of outside trash from the previous renters, and it was unattended to which made the property seem unclean. With a few improvements, this property really has the potential to exceed expectations given the cost of the rental, but unfortunately for us, it didn’t meet expectations at all.
