Welcome to the Bantam Beauty, a peaceful getaway located in the beautiful Litchfield Hills. Only 2 hours from NYC & you'll be transported to fantastic hiking trails, lakes, skiing, wineries & local restaurants. We are minutes from the charming town of Litchfield, walking distance to Bantam Lake & a short walk to Arethusa Dairy, the best ice cream in the land. Our property is bordered on 3 sides by the White Memorial Nature Preserve so you are surrounded by the sounds of nature in every season.

The Bantom home was exactly what we were looking for to accommodate our family while visiting relatives in Connecticut. The location was ideal—close to Litchfield, with a lovely walking trail and beautiful scenery nearby. The house itself was very well appointed, and we especially appreciated the spacious, well-equipped kitchen.

Seven of us had an absolutely wonderful stay at this truly charming, welcoming, and easy-to-enjoy home! The house is spacious, well-appointed, and designed for group time (large kitchen and dining and living room) inside and out. Beds are very comfortable and the location is quiet but central--easy jaunt to Bantam Market and any number of bakeries and cafes.

We had a very good stay at this VRBO! The rooms were clean and comfortable! There were toys that my granddaughter enjoyed and plenty of rooms to explore. The wi-fi worked well and there was plenty of towels and supplies such as toiletries, paper products, etc..

Great communication with owner, quick and thorough responses to questions prior to check-in and then easy check-in. Very spacious and wonderful home. Hospitality was astounding, everything you needed was provided and then some. Excellent wi-fi throughout the home. Lots of parking. I would definitely recommend this home to everyone, couples, singles, families. We were five sisters, most with spouses, and all from a different state.

Wonderful weekend at Bantam Beauty

We stayed at Ronni’s place for a fall weekend getaway. The home was warm, welcoming and comfortable. It’s ideally located near the center of Litchfield, hiking trails, wineries, farm and cider stands, and much more. We had a wonderful time.

Bantam Beauty

My family and I enjoyed the weekend relaxing at Bantam Beauty. The scenery behind the house is a refreshing view from the everyday busy life of noisy streets. We saw deer, turkeys, birds and enjoyed the sound of nature. We would definitely recommend this location as a way to unplug and enjoy quality time together. Large kitchen, specious living room space, and a great basement for kids to be entertained. Works for various age groups.

Girls weekend

8 of us stayed at this property for a girls weekend. The house was perfect! Bigger than we had anticipated. Ronni answered my texts quickly with any questions I had. We visited Litchfield Distillery, Hawk Ridge Winery, and Aquila’s Nest Winery during our stay. We look forward to going back again with our significant others for a couple’s weekend!

Wonderful house for large group

Clean house on a quiet street in a quiet town. Backs right up to a wildlife reserve and a short walk to a community trail system. We saw turkeys and deer on the property. Walking on the trails we also saw racoons, otters, turtles, frogs, and plenty of birds. A short drive in either direction brings to you to great food options. we ate at @t the corner and the food was fantastic. House is well stocked with everything you need to make meals and enjoy your stay. Ronni was very responsive to any questions.

Wonderful accommodations for our family while celebrating a 50th anniversary!

Bantam Beauty was the perfect place for my family to stay while we were in town celebrating a 50th anniversary. Ronni was exceptionally responsive and friendly as we approached our arrival date. The house is beautiful and charming, and perfectly accommodated our family of 9 people… 3 adult couples and 3 kids aged 5-9. The playground outside and game room in the basement were perfect for the kids to burn off some energy, while the large kitchen and living room were both great spaces for the adults to hang out. Bedrooms were nicely sized with comfortable beds and plenty of bathrooms for all of us. We had a wonderful time, being in proximity to great restaurants and activities. We plan to travel back in the summer for another family event and will stay at Bantam Beauty again! Thank you Ronni for hosting our family! Looking forward to our next visit!

Friends visit

We had such an amazing trip and the Bantam house was PERFECTION! Truly-every detail was thought of and the home was immaculate (honestly-everything was so clean and well taken care of). We had zero complaints and everyone agreed it was such a perfect set up. There was plenty of space to spread out and the home was so comfortable-from the comfortable beds and linens to the extra amenities provided in the kitchen-everything was covered. And the communication with the owners was great-not only were they right there when we reached out with a question but they were offering suggestions to make our visit even more amazing beforehand. They genuinely wanted us to enjoy our time in their beautiful home, which was very much appreciated. If you’re unfamiliar with the area-it’s very charming and this location provided the perfect spot for our plans in Kent and Washington. I can’t say it enough-we truly loved our stay! We intend to return to visit friends and we will definitely rebook the Bantam house for sure! Thanks again!

Spacious and clean, quiet street, well appointed.

We stayed at Bantam Beauty for our friends wedding nearby. It was perfect for our group of 9 to stay and we had room to host dinner for 13 as everyone came in to town. (Woods BBQ take out was perfect for a crowd!) Right in the heart of Bantam and close to so many activities, great coffee shops (Love Hearts Bakery! Awesome breakfast sandwich!), restaurants and grocery. The A/C was needed for this steamy weekend and it worked great. All the beds were comfortable, plenty of linens and the fully stocked kitchen was appreciated! The house is a really neat mix of older historic elements and a new addition. We didn't get to enjoy the outdoor space but we saw a doe and fawn, rabbits, hawks and wild turkeys all passing through the backyard! The living room was large enough for us to all gather and catch up. Plenty of bathrooms/showers for everyone to get ready for the wedding. We didn't enjoy the game room downstairs but that offers even more space for kids to hang out! Bonus was that the house is a half mile from a trail system that connects to the white memorial forest and our group enjoyed a beautiful morning run! Communication with the owners was perfect and they were very flexible. We enjoyed our stay very much and highly recommend this property!

While we still love to travel the globe (after years in travel marketing), we've come to appreciate country life, close to the city yet a world away. We look forward to sharing our home with others who are looking for a peaceful getaway.

We love being on a quiet dead-end street yet so close to all the great things in the area. We are 2 minutes from the Bantam Market, Arethusa ice cream & Bantam Bread. 5 minutes to the town of Litchfield with great restaurants & shops. And super close to great, flat walking trails for a boost of nature.

Qué hace que este alojamiento sea especial

Besides being on a quiet road that only a few people drive on, the highlight of our home is the property itself. Sitting on the back deck, staring at the trees on all sides & listening to the sounds of nature is heavenly. Every season is pretty & peaceful there.
