Quiet Canyon, Starry Nights @ HappyOurs Ranch Bunkhouse entre Zion y Bryce

Durante casi 50 años, "HappyOurs Ranch", ubicado cerca del Parque Nacional Bryce Canyon, el Parque Nacional Zion, el Lago Powell, el Gran Cañón, las Dunas de arena de Coral Pink y muchas otras atracciones aquí en el país de color del sur de Utah, ha sido una escapada familiar y retirarse mientras hemos visto a nuestros hijos y nietos disfrutar y explorar este rancho de 50 acres. Un cañón de montaña único y aislado con coloridos arces, pinos imponentes, robles y arroyos, será la sede de su familia / grupo privado mientras explora las maravillas del sur de Utah.

Remodelamos nuestra cabina de vaquero única, pintoresca y acogedora en 2010 para dar cabida a nuestros huéspedes y sentir que ofrece la mejor experiencia de vida al estilo rancho occidental con las comodidades modernas. Esta cabaña está totalmente amueblada con una cocina completa, sala de estar con muebles de cuero, TV de pantalla plana HD / DirecTV, DVD, WiFi, biblioteca, lavandería, dos baños y una litera única hecha a medida con dos literas queen y dos literas completas con colchones de espuma viscoelástica. Arriba, cuenta con un loft y un dormitorio privado con cama queen para familiares y amigos adicionales. También hay disponible un paquete para jugar para bebés.

La vida al aire libre está en su mejor momento con dos porches cubiertos (un porche tiene dos camas individuales) y un patio cubierto con barbacoa de gas y muebles de patio donde puede disfrutar del cañón aislado y tranquilo que hemos disfrutado durante tantos años y queremos compartir con nuestros invitados.

En el hermoso Cañón de Lydia, a solo una milla de la pintoresca Heritage Highway 89 en Glendale, Utah. La paz y el silencio te sorprenderán. Disfrute del cielo nocturno lleno de estrellas, camine hasta una antigua cueva de murciélagos, pesque en estanques privados o simplemente relájese y haga una barbacoa en el patio. Este es el lugar ideal para disfrutar de todos los tesoros que le esperan en el sur de Utah.

Beautiful rustic cabin that is cozy, clean, well stocked, easy to find, in a great location between the parks and with wonderful, kind hosts! We absolutely loved our stay and wish it would have been longer, but we were in the time constraints of our kids' school schedule. We would absolutely stay here again. The parks are amazing - well worth the trip, and being able to come back to a cozy cabin to cook dinner was icing on the cake. Thank you for a great stay!

Amazing place to stay. It is cute and cozy. It is tucked away in the trees just a short drive off the highway with quick access to tons of outdoor adventures. The owners are wonderful hosts. There is no air-conditioning besides a single air-conditioning unit in the kitchen, but we found it was hardly ever needed. Keeping the windows open at night was sufficient enough. Me, my wife, and my kids all loved it. Thanks for sharing this wonderful place with us!

Bunkhouse outside Glendale Utah

What a treat to stay at the bunkhouse. Perfect location for relaxing after adventures in the area, friendly and informative hosts. We loved the place and location and hope that our future travels will allow us to return (only for longer!).

Secluded Retreat

A great secluded cabin that we thoroughly enjoyed. Do you want to get away from everything? This is the place for you. Dave and Karen care about this place, been in their family for years and it shows. It is about the same distance to both Bryce and Zion if you want a place for that and not far from Kanab to get some city like activities in. We were worried about it not having AC and that was certainly not a problem in late June, in fact sometimes my kids were to cold. Thoroughly enjoyed the bunkhouse and would without a doubt stay there again!

Perfect for us

We loved our stay at the bunkhouse. It was quiet and secluded, but easily accessible to nearby attractions. It was so comfortable. We were able to do some Astro photography at night. Our hosts were awesome and we would highly recommend aftvisiting

Perfect little get away!

The bunkhouse was a perfect little get away for us. The hosts were very welcoming. It was fun to connect with them through a mutual friend that we had met while living in Colorado. Five stars, look forward to staying here again sometime.

We had such a lovely time. Everything was clean, cozy and peaceful. It was just what we needed to rest and relax. We hope to return one day. It's the perfect location between Zion and Bryce Canyons.

This place is wonderful! The location close to the parks! It is secluded and cozy. We regret not making more time to relax there! I would highly recommend this place! Plus Dave has great tips for the area! WONDERUL!

Beautiful Place to Get Away

This was such a beautiful place to stay. It was nestled in a canyon filled with lots of trees. One of the trees had a nest right outside the kitchen window with a family of birds in it. What a neat treat! The place looks like it was just built and the hosts are very kind and friendly. This is a great place to stay to see Zion and Bryce Canyon.

Perfection

The house is cozy and clean. The hills surrounding the house keep out all the highway noise. It’s so serene and quiet. A perfect place to relax after hiking the Parks all day. Dave and Karren were super hosts! Location is great in regards to Bryce and Zion!

A beautiful week in Utah

Our one week vacation @ "The Bunkhouse" was awesome a great retreat for anyone who wants to have peace and quiet and to also see some of the most beautiful national parks and scenery we have in our great country. The location was perfect ,the accommodations were much more then we expected and was a perfect ending to each day to relax and enjoy all the tranquility it offered. David and Karren were very welcoming and friendly. We definitely plan to return!

Starry nights!

The property was what we were hoping for. Great location for visiting Bryce, Zion and the North rim of the Grand Canyon. Very quiet and the skies at night were amazing. If you have never seen the Milky Way, you are in for a treat! Not many places to eat out at, which wasn’t a big problem for us as we usually prepare our own meals. Dave and Karen are wonderful people and we enjoyed talking with them both. We were kind of sad when it was time to leave, which usually doesn’t happen!

Comfortable stay even during a very difficult time.

The cabin is so nice and comfortable. It has everything you need and more! Very quiet and private. Nice breeze and beautiful Aspen trees. We were there to spread my Dad’s remains in the area so the trip was emotional to begin with, and then my horse passed away back at home very unexpectedly. So, not the trip we wanted but I would definitely go back to the Bunkhouse. The family was so kind. I wish we could have spent more time with them.

Remote cabin

The little house itself was great. By the pictures I thought there was a field and pond adjacent to the property, but it was further down the road and driveway. We came late at night so we’re confused about which house and driveway it was. I had difficulty accessing my Vrbo info, so couldn’t review check in procedure. Cute house though and pleasant surroundings, but not much to do in immediate area for kids.

Perfect Rental for Zion and Bryce

Cabin was perfect for a family trip to the national parks. Right in the middle of Zion and Bryce. One hour drive to each and it goes quick because the scenery is beautiful. We also did the north Rim of the Grand Canyon which is more of a hike but doable. We were worried about no A/C at the cabin because there was a heatwave during our stay (110 at Zion) but the cabin is shaded a lot of the day. Just close it up during the day and open the windows in the evening and it gets cold. Our kids actually complained about being too cold in the morning. The cabin was clean and the beds were comfortable. You are on the horse ranch but the cabin is secluded and we never saw anyone unless we went down to look at the horses. Kids loved the bunk beds, having two full bathrooms was great, cabin was well appointed. Great stay, highly recommend!

Great location between Bryce Canyon and Zion plus impeccable hospitality

We recently had the pleasure of staying at the cabin nestled between Bryce Canyon and Zion that exceeded all our expectations. From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed and shown around by Dave. We were absolutely captivated by the coziness of this place as well as the tranquility of the surrounding landscape. The cabin itself was a haven of comfort and charm. This place is so cool and peaceful! The location couldn't have been more perfect, offering easy access to both national parks while providing a serene and peaceful retreat. We were particularly thrilled with the delicious food Sarah served. It was truly a treat for our taste buds. Additionally, we thoroughly enjoyed Dave's company. His friendly demeanor and engaging conversations added an extra special touch to our experience. It was such an incredible experience, and we can confidently say that we will be coming back for more memorable moments in the future! If you're seeking a peaceful retreat with easy access to two of Utah's most iconic national parks, we highly recommend this cabin!

Delightful cabin in a quiet canyon

We’re an older couple in our seventies. This cabin is beautifully designed and constructed, and charming. The setting is very quiet and private. It’s pretty small. I would say it suits 2 adults comfortably, with perhaps one or two small children. The beds were very comfortable, however my husband is tall and didn’t enjoy having to duck and squeeze to get into the lower bunk. The two bathrooms are very spacious and accommodating, the showers roomy. I would not recommend the loft for sleeping for anyone with mobility issues—the stairs are steep and narrow. There is no air conditioning. We like to be active in the mornings, then rest in the afternoons. We were very fortunate that storms came in to cool the temperatures every afternoon. If this hadn’t happened, we would have had difficulty resting in the heat and possibly at night, though portable fans are provided. The kitchen is minimally supplied for food preparation. I usually bring my own cooking tools and supplies when we stay at a rental, but was not able to on this trip because we were flying. I would advise that if you plan to prepare your meals at the cabin, ask the owner ahead of time if the supplies you’ll need are available. The owners are dear people. They are gracious and kind, and responded quickly to our every need. They were kind enough also to leave their barn light off at night, as I wanted to experience the dark skies of Utah. Altogether a lovely and hospitable place.

Dave and Karren, your hosts, have owned this property for 33 years, and for 30 years before that, it belonged to Karren’s folks. We are retired, but are young at heart and have many children and grandchildren. We built a log home here in 1990, and after retiring a few years ago (Dave was a high school art teacher and Karren was the high school secretary), decided to remodel the old cabin into the bunkhouse to share with friends, family and guests.
