Cabin is nestled on one acre with pond. Wonderful getaway for fishing and swimming. Very quiet and peaceful area. Only 3 miles to downtown and 5 miles to casino. Whitewater rafting and kayaking on nearby Nantahala river.

We stayed 4 nights at the peak fall change this year! The home and location are wonderful!! The house has everything you need, and the view was beyond relaxing! Local suggestions--Andrews Rail Tour, Two Crows Farm, Fields of the Wood.

We really enjoyed our stay. The only negative comment would relate to the one lane road. We enjoyed sitting on the screen porch overlooking the pond. The kitchen was stocked better than any other place we've stayed, and the bed was very comfortable. The host was very accommodating and easy to communicate with.We would stay here again.

Despite the rain

Property is as advertised. We had a wonderful stay despite 5 days of heavy rains. Convenient to town and the casino. Finally got to fish on sixth day but only had two bites but no catches. Would highly recommend this property for its quietness and view of pond. Will definitely stay here again.

Relaxing retreat

Lovely cabin. Well kept with a relaxing view of a pond. Will say that the drive thru the neighborhood is a bit stressful, as it is a one lane winding mountain road, but worth the drive.

Beautiful place, but poor service with host

This home was nice and very well stocked. The cabinets are very high but my husband who is over 6 ft liked that. His 5 ft mother not so much. The negatives were the TVs cut off before we went to sleep. They’re set on a timer which we’ve never seen. So in the middle of your show, they will go off. This should not even be possible. A remote also didn’t work which should have been checked before we got there but the batteries they had weren’t the right kind and we did happen to find some in our vehicle and fixed that ourselves. We also kept in touch with the host alerting her of this. We did have a major problem getting a receipt for our business from the host after asking Vrbo who said it’s their policy for the host to give us one, since they are the beneficiaries of said money. I spent over an hour in a chat with Vrbo with a very patient person who finally gave me a manual one she typed up herself after the host said she couldn’t give me one. Later the host said she didn’t know how, which would have been a much better answer. And by the time she started messaging me we were going back home through mountains and by the time we got home I had several messages, Of course that was much too late for us to have turned in anything she had gotten up which still was not the right amount, shorting our total by a couple hundred, which we would have lost getting reimbursed. I’m just thankful for the wonderful patient Vrbo host. She was amazing doing a job which she shouldn’t have had to

This property was better than advertized. Everything we needed was available. We have already rented for next May and may stay again before then. Had a little trouble getting the code to get in but after several phone calls got it. This code should be sent at least a day before arrival and not during your trip there. Minor inconvenience.

Anniversary vacation

Really enjoyed our stay. The cabin was clean and the beds were very comfortable. We got to do a lot of fishing on the pond and we caught a lot of fish using the paddle boat provided. Thanks for letting us stay we hope to come back again.

We celebrated our 24th wedding anniversary and it was amazing with amazing lake views. The property had three beautifully decorated bedrooms, a dining room, and a fun-filled basement. We loved relaxing on the screened balcony and enjoying the beautiful view of the lake There was a large water raft with life jackets it was amazing I recommended one hundred percent we will be returning amazing words can not express 👍👍👍👍👍

Relaxing dream vacation

We loved everything about this charming home on the lake. It provided a peaceful and secluded respite and chance to reconnect with family surrounded by God’s nature. From the flowers blooming in the window box outside the master bedroom, to the quaint herb and flower garden spots, to the blue and white accent pieces in the house and kitchen, this home displays many touches of TLC. The screened in porch was our favorite part of the whole house- a great place to watch the morning rain storm over the lake, as well as to observe the geese and turtles and listen to the frogs. We created family meals in the well stocked kitchen, enjoyed the fire pit and took the kayaks out on the lake. Everyone slept comfortably and we had everything we needed to feel at home away from home.

Wonderful Hidden Retreat!

This "cabin" in the woods was a joy to stay in for our long weekend. The roads getting there.... Well, don't arrive in the dark! The screened in porch overlooking the pond was soothing and peaceful. I love the daybed, which would have been perfect for a nap if the weather were just a bit warmer. Some of the outdoor furniture may need updating for comfort's sake but was plentiful if you were bringing additional people! The kayak's and other water sport equipment were easily accessible and any concerns I had were promptly responded to by our host. Overall a wonderful oasis in a stressful world!

Amazing place to just relax and breathe!

We loved it. The downstairs was just as wonderful as the upstairs. The only thing missing downstairs was the kitchen! Balconies overlooking the lake on both floors. Several areas to fish from and the rods and reels were even there for us to use, along with "fake bait"! So peaceful and quiet. Use code to check in door. Most well stocked vacation rental I have ever seen....not missing anything! Well worth the money and Kay, the owner, is wonderful. Paradise, peace, what more could you want?!

Relaxing & Fun Stay in Murray,NC

We really enjoyed our stay here. So much room for 5 people with spacious living areas and bedrooms. Great amenities like the kayaks and the screened in porch with a lovely view of the pond. Highly recommend this rental for cooking meals as the kitchen is super well stocked with anything you might need. The place was very clean and the host’s quick responses were appreciated.

Fall mini vacation!

It was a little difficult to find but well worth the adventure. The driveway was a little hidden by beautiful trees. As we drove down the driveway, we got a nice view of the property. The fall foliage was amazing. Around back of the house was a sight to behold as the water reflected the colorful trees. The outside sitting area was very quaint with a swing for added comfort. Inside the house felt welcoming just like being home The kitchen had everything you would need for cooking. The upstairs had a wonderful, screened deck that offered you a spectacular view of the surrounding area. I could go on and on but am running out of space. I definitely recommend this home. The town of Murphy is your typical small town with friendly people. Our kind of place Enjoy your stay Karen & Larry Jenkins
