Perfect for families that want to be close to DC

Family friendly home perfect for larger groups located only 10 minutes by car to Washington DC or Arlington National Cemetery. Parking is free for one or multiple vehicles. You can walk to the brand new Potomac Yard Metro Station in 15 minutes. House is decorated with modern furniture from Denmark and Sweden. Barbecue and relax on private back deck area or walk a short distance to a playground or a dog park. Great restaurants and shops are also just a short walk from the house.

Messaging

The house is located in the northern part of DelRay which is part of Alexandria. There are wonderful restaurants along Mount Vernon Avenue which is either a short walk or drive from the house. For families with young children, there is a very nice play area very close to the house on the other side of the street. For guests who bring a dog(s), there is a large and very friendly dog park down the street.

The house has an August smart lock. There is also a key lockbox on the front door for those who just want to use a key.

The house is located only a 8 minute car ride from National Airport and 10 minutes from DC.

The gorgeous, brand new Potomac Yard Metro Station is only 0.8 miles away or a 15 minute walk or 4 minute Uber ride.

The 10A, 10B and 33 bus stop is only a one minute walk from the house and is located on Mount Vernon Avenue.

Host was welcoming Clean linens and home, the kitchen could have had a few things more for cooking ie cutting board, larger frying pan, possibly an extra mixing bowl or two. Other than that my 4 sisters and I enjoyed our stay, close to airport and a few other destinations like Arlington National Cemetary.

Really enjoyed the house for our stay! Everything was comfortable and easy. We visited for a Veterans group reunion. The location was perfect for access to sights, shopping, etc. Morning coffee was a highlight in the kitchen and main floor for socializing. Felt bad that our excitement caused some noise issues. Future guests should know ahead of time that noise levels are checked. Kudos to the host, Mark!

The amount of space is perfect for 5 adults. The tub facets were a little tricky at first. Great location for our annual DC ride.

This was a staycation for my friend’s 50th birthday celebration. I informed the host prior to staying it would be a 50th birthday celebration get together. The house accommodated us well but we wished it had a few more mirrors (we are all ladies and like to see how we looked and to do makeup). It was in a nice area and very close to DC. The host provided coffee and various teas. The kitchen had everything we needed except a blender. We enjoyed our stay except when we received two warnings that we were being too loud during non-quiet hours (by an in home system). There was 8 of us talking and hanging out in the living area (at the dinning table) while our chief was cooking for the get together when we received our first warning. We received our second warning when we were singing happy birthday. We were not playing loud music or yelling. My only complaint is that we received those two warnings during non-quiet hours. We felt like we could not talk as a group in the living area which was a bit upsetting and a shame since we really like the house. Overall, the host was extremely communicative, the house was well kept (clean), nice area (near a park for kids) and the neighbors were really nice. Maybe better suited for a family getaway.

Wonderful location and easy ride on metro to DC

The house was just as advertised. Owner was very communicative and available for issues. Safe area with many wonderful restaurants walking distance from the house. We simply drove to a metro station for quick ride to DC.

We really enjoyed our stay. The beds were comfortable. It was so nice to have good coffee and tea to choose from. It’s was a nice space to gather with the family. Location was perfect.

Short stay in Alexandria

I think the location of this property and the size are great especially for the cost! Mark was great at communicating with us and reached out several times. However I think cleanliness is a slight issue. The bathroom did not appear to be cleaned. The bathroom trash was full, the toilet seat was a bit dirty and the shower curtain needed to be washed as well. There was also hair on the pillows and sheets of one of the main bedrooms. We still were able to enjoy our stay under these circumstances but it could use improvement!

Perfect little get away with the family!

This was a perfect spot for our family. Very convenient for travel and a great space to hang out.We were out here for a funeral and it was a nice hub to come back to after everything.

Sister's Get Away

We had 6 sisters staying for the weekend and everything was great. Each of us had our own bedroom but two people can easily stay in each room. Beds were comfy. I would suggest bringing slippers if you need to wear shoes because there is a no shoe rule in the house. Very pretty walkable neighborhood. We would definitely stay there again.

Very Clean and Convenient location

The home was very clean and comfortable. The coffee bar was great! Groceries, restaurants and the Metro train all within a 20 min walk! And the owner was very available to us via text. We loved our visit! We would have appreciated a heads up to the no shoe rule more than 24 hours in advance as we drove and were already on the road, so we didn't have the opportunity to pack slippers. Also, the neighbors will call you out if the TV is too loud at 10:01pm, so be prepared. Other than those minor inconveniences we really enjoyed ourselves!

Girls weekend

Nice that it had 6 rooms with either queen or full size beds. Not always easy to find that for adult trips that don't want to have bunk beds. Good location. Host was very helpful and accessible. Older home, but good value.

Great stay!

Mark was easy to communicate with, the location was great - easy to walk into the heart of del ray, with lots to do, and easy to get to tourism stuff in DC as well. Dedicated parking was great. The property was so cute.
