The Little House - Gorgeous Views of Lowell's Cove and Casco Bay

From bold open ocean views, rugged Maine coastline, and easy water access via a shared beach, to a fresh, new interior, beautiful spacious yard, and convenient location just minutes from all the Harpswell Islands have to offer, "The Little House" is the perfect cottage for your island getaway!

Recently renovated in 2015, this waterfront cottage has everything you want and need for your vacation to Maine including a fully stocked kitchen, a comfortable living room with cable TV and internet, a full bathroom with a walk-in shower, a bedroom with twin bunk beds, another bedroom with a twin bed, and a master bedroom with a queen bed, all with stunning ocean views.

You will enjoy waking up to the sun rising over the ocean and spending your days outside making memories swimming and kayaking from the small shared family pebbly beach area, playing in the yard, and sitting by the ledges sipping on your favorite drink while dinner sizzles on the grill. In the afternoons, you will love walking to the many local restaurants nearby including Sundrenched and Cook's Lobster & Ale House, and then ending the evening with a delicious Maine ice cream cone from the Island Candy Company.

There are endless opportunities for adventure and many memories to be made at The Little House! Come enjoy all this island retreat has to offer!

Any reservations made after 8/1/20 will not be allowed to bring pets. Sorry for the inconvenience but if we have a wonderful kennel/boarding nearby, if you'd like to have your pup stay 've used them personally and they are amazing!

The Little House does not have a washer and dryer, but there is a laundromat in Cook's Corner (15 min away).

Great View

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: There is nothing like sitting just watching the ocean on a clear Maine day. Ideal spot for that. The cottage is very clean and well appointed but there were end of season maintenance issues such as a leaky kitchen drain and bathroom faucet. Maine Stay customer service is excellent as always. Iris Eats Maine up the road is a fantastic lunch place.

A Slice of Paradise

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We have been frequent summer guests at The Little House for many years and this gem at the end of the road has felt like home each time we visit. Views of the water from most every window of the house and a large yard for our dog to play. The sense of peace and calm we feel staying here can't be beat.

Fantastic view!

The Little House is situated in a great spot which provides for a lovely view of the water. It was very clean and I really appreciate the hosts using a professional laundering service for sheets and towels - provides reassurance of sanitary conditions during this unfortunate time of Covid. The home is well maintained. Three things which impacted our stay adversely: the queen bed is quite hard, like a brick; very uncomfortable. The living room has a small couch. Unfortunately it could really benefit from an ottoman so that two adults could put their feet up. We had terrible weather during our stay, so we were indoors more than anticipated and used the couch often. There is a propane faux wood stove that would have been great to use, but we could not get it to work and the hosts did not answer my text asking for guidance. There is an instruction manual for it in the kitchen. However, despite following the instructions it didn't work. The property is down a drive/road with other homes. Most of those homes that are nearby are quite unkept. Despite those three things, this is a lovingly well-maintained little cottage with a beautiful view.

A lovely, private location with stunning views!

My parents were coming over to Boston from the UK and we wanted to visit Maine (our first time, too). We were looking for somewhere between a few different spots such as Portland and some of the smaller towns further north and this was perfect! The house is in an incredible location with stunning views throughout the day (and gave us a nice peek at the Milky Way at night). Everything was as described and the check-in was simple and straight forward. Property managers Marcy and Darcie were easy to communicate with and prompt to reply to messages. Everything was clean and neatly tidied for our visit. The fire pit late at night with the sea breeze and sounds of water was magical! We definitely plan to come back someday in the future! Thank you for having us!
