This special place is close to everything making it easy to plan your visit to downtown Vandalia. Lincoln’s Loft offers a bedroom, full kitchen and bath, dining room, living room with a pull out sofa, and remote work space. This loft also offers beautiful views of the oldest State Capitol in IL and is within walking distance to over 7 restaurants, bars, and various local shops. We are located just two miles off of I-70, a little over a hour away from St. Louis, MO and 30 minutes from Effingham, IL. This loft is located on the third floor so you will need to climb two flight of stairs to enter and exit this space.

Loft was super clean, spacious and quiet. Building built in 1861 so very unique space. Plenty of street parking. Air conditioning was great and a selection of restaurants and pubs down the street. Lots of nicely restored building-one can feel the history! Host communicated immediately and check in/out easy and seamless.

Great place for Vandalia

Haley’s loft is perfect for a short or long stay at Vandalia. Way better than the hotels in the area and at the same price, with much more amenities. I can’t recommend this place enough.

Great Place

I was traveling into town for work and this place was perfect. It was very clean, spacious, and accommodating. The location seemed to be very good as well, even though I didn’t have much time to check out the local scene. I will be traveling to the area regularly for work, and fully plan to stay here again!

Our place was clean, comfortable and smelled fresh. We only used it for sleeping but looked like the kitchen was well equipped. The fold out sofa bed was not very comfortable. I would definitely recommend it if climbing stairs is not a problem. One of our party counted 37 stair steps.

Historical Charm

This is the second time we’ve stayed here- and we love it. Very roomy, clean, comfy and nicely decorated. It is located in the perfect place in Vandalia. We hope to get a chance to stay again!

Rustic, beautiful Loft

We were so pleased with our stay in this historic loft. Loved the exposed brick and the decor throughout the loft. It was very clean, well supplied with the necessities. We will definitely be booking this again for our next visit.

Very nice apartment in a good location!

I enjoyed our stay. The apartment was comfortable and well taken care of. The only thing I would suggest is to use less fabric spray on the bed and furniture, as the smell was rather strong. We needed to air the place out for a bit when we arrived as a result.

We enjoyed our stay- very roomy apartment. Quiet. Clean. Everything we needed. Perfect location to explore downtown. Enjoyed the live outdoor music across the way at The Patio on Friday and Saturday evening. Thanks!

Such a great place

The property was beautiful. I was worried about the stairs being on the 3rd floor but honestly it wasn't that bad. We were out around town going to the restaurants and shops around town we spend our evenings there. We were blown away by how cute the place was. The exposed brick was gorgeous and the beds were so comfortable and the room was just felt like home. The host was also really helpful with recommending places to go and had a idea of the events around town they were really helpful and welcoming. We will absolutely be back!

The location was outstanding! The loft was directly across the street from the capitol building from when Vandalia was the Illinois state capital and Abraham Lincoln a legislator there. We wandered over there and the docent was exceptional. The loft is truly IN town, so within easy walking distance of restaurants, the local distillery, pubs, shops, and points of interest. I had no qualms about anything related to the cleanliness of the property! It's a cute, quaint, well- decorated place. Haley's communications were excellent and timely, too.

The property was actually very nice to stay in and was very close to where I was attending a conference so it was perfect and it was immaculately clean. I checked the mattress....NO TRACE of bed bugs. Fully equipped kitchen although I did not use it. My only complaint is that it has a single airconditioner in the window which is insufficient for the place I struggled to sleep because of that. I slept on the couch. Aside from that it was a great place to stay.

I was born and raised in Vandalia. I live just outside of town with my husband and two doodles. I work part time as a Dental Hygienist in town. I also own and operate the business located on the main level of this building as a Permanent makeup artist. When I am not working I love to travel the world, spend time with friends and family, and workout.
