Beautiful property! The chalet was very comfortable, clean and has everything you need for an excellent stay in west Vail. Elfi, Jon and Mishka are the best hosts and they are available to answer any questions about things to do in and around Vail. We enjoyed visiting with them! The chalet is within close proximity to many neat towns and hiking. We hope to return again soon!

Beautiful Mountain Retreat!

We loved our stay at the Bavarian Chalet! Elfi and Jon were wonderful hosts, giving us a tour and making sure we had everything we needed. We enjoyed the morning chats with Jon and their beautiful dog Mishka! The place was spotless and had everything we needed. We enjoyed soaking in the private hot tub at the end of the day and the views of the mountains were gorgeous. We would definitely stay there again when we return to Vail!

Amazing Hosts

This was our 9th ski season in a row at the Bavarian Chalet. I can't see enough about the great hospitality provided by Elfi and Jon. We've already reserved for next year.

Chalet is an Excellent place to stay.

Property is very comfortable. We had 4 adults. Beds very great. Kitchen high end with excellent cookware. Living room has comfy leather chairs and sofa. Wood burning stove worked well and added to coziness of the chalet. Hot tub is great especially after a hard day skiing. We’ve stayed here several times and continue to rate property as 5 star. Entire property spotless. Hosts extremely accommodating. We hope to be back next year!

Fabulous Summer Getaway

The property is a beautiful Bavarian chateau surrounded in spring/summer flowers, hummingbirds and mountain trees! Nestled in West Vail close to the Village, grocery stores and slopes, it’s also a short walk to the Davos trailhead with breathtaking views of the Valley. Inside, both the living and sleeping rooms are very comfortable, and the house is stocked with all you need for cooking, eating and enjoying. Our on-property hosts, Elfi and Jon, were delightful and interesting people tending to the flowers and landscaping, and our every need.

Amazing Property and Wonderful Hosts!

I can’t say enough good things about the Bavarian Chalet! The place was spotless, had everything you could possibly need, and was so comfortable and cozy. But the true separating factors that make this place spectacular are Elfi and Jon! Elfi was in contact with me via text well before our planned trip date explaining some details about the chalet and sending a warm welcome. On the day of our arrival, Elfi was in close contact with me and they both greeted us when we arrived and gave us a tour of the chalet. It’s so rare nowadays to even speak with the owner (usually run by some sort of property management company), but to be greeted by them and given a grand tour was so sweet! The chalet had everything we could have possibly needed for our ski trip, including boot dryers, every cooking tool we needed, a crock pot, super clean bedrooms, bathrooms, and linens, a hot tub, stocked wood for the wood-burning stove, and even a morning paper delivery via Mishka, their loving, floofy pupper! The property is amazing as is, but the hospitality and kindness that Elfi and Jon bring to the table is unmatched. From the morning greetings while we loaded up our car to all the tips, recommendations, and local knowledge, it was so nice having them around when we needed them. I would HIGHLY recommend this property to anyone and will definitely be seeking it out every time we visit the Vail area. We were all so happy we found the place and extremely pleased with our stay!

Fabulous week at the Chalet.

We’ve stayed at this property 5 times now. It is extremely comfortable. The property owners are very gracious. The unit is well stocked. The kitchen has everything you need. Beds are comfy. Hot tub superb. We will be back!

Perfectly Cozy

What a wonderful home + Owner experience! The home is in an ideal location with windows facing the mountain, a great winter/summer hiking trail just a short walk from the doorstep and Vail a quick 7 min drive away. Inside the home is cozy, with an excellent kitchen/living room setup, stocked kitchen, roomy bedrooms and bathrooms. Elfi and Jon are friendly, kind and generous with their time and stories. Couldn't have asked for a better rental. Hope to see them soon!!!

Very convenient location to the slopes, made better by the free garage parking pass. Clean, lovely place. They are fantastic and friendly hosts. Wouldn’t consider staying anywhere else if we’re coming back to vail! 10/10

Christmas at the Bavarian Chalet

This was our 7th year in a row staying at the Bavarian Chalet. We enjoyed relaxing in the hot tub each day after skiing then hanging out by the fire. One evening we grilled steaks on the outdoor grill. The hosts are amazing and have thought of everything. The dinner Elfi prepared for us on Saturday night was amazing. I can't think of a better place, with better hosts, than the Bavarian Chalet to stay at in Vail Valley. We can't wait to return next year!

Great Stay at the Bavarian Chalet

We had a lovely stay at the beautiful Bavarian Chalet! The house was clean and comfortable and perfect for our family of five. Elfi and Jon were very attentive to our needs and are so friendly. They helped make our first time in Vail truly wonderful. Would definitely stay there again in the future!

Bavarian chalet

We had a wonderful time on a ski trip for spring break with our kids (ages 20,22,26). The chalet was the nicest place I’ve ever stayed with VRBO- Elfi and jon were so welcoming and live above the chalet so they delivered the paper every morning and had a big bag of dark chocolates waiting for us when we checked in and were readily available to answer any questions. It’s a short 8 min drive to Lionshead and they provided their parking pass which was such a nice surprise. The kitchen was fully stocked and the outdoor hot tub was perfect. The living room has a fire place stocked with wood and very comfy couches/recliners so we could all hang out and watch tv and have a fire in the evenings . I loved it here! Will definitely be back!!

Perfect

We had a wonderful time at the Bavarian Chalet. Elfie and Jon made us feel like family! The home is equipped with everything needed for a family stay. The kitchen is well stocked, spices included. The beds are very comfortable, with wonderful sheets, plentiful pillows, and down comforters. It was great having plentiful towels as well. Every morning, the driveway and our car were cleared of snow. Jon and MIshka delivered the paper daily as well. You won't be disappointed. Don't hesitate..book now!

Felt like home

This is the best place we have stayed! The owners really know how to take care of you. The driveway was cleaned everyday along with our vehicle (snowed a ton) there is plenty of room for family or friends to stay. The hot tub was hot and secluded but you still can enjoy the beautiful weather. The kitchen is stocked with whatever utensil or kitchen gadget you need. The owners live above the property so they are very helpful for whatever you need. They will show you how to use everything you need in the home. The parking pass is a win and helps save a lot of money with parking at Vail!

6th year in a row!

I can't say enough about the hospitality of Jon and Elfi. We love their Bavarian Chalet and just completed our 6th Christmas week with them. Elfi brings us homemade Christmas cookies when we arrive and Jon clears the snow from our car in the morning and has the driveway clean before we leave (and we leave early each morning). The Chalet has everything you need to prepare meals and we even used their grill for steaks one evening, but nothing beats some time in the hot tub after a day on the slopes before retiring to the living room in front of the fire for the evening. We will be returning next year for our 7th in a row!

Vail getaway

Great end-of-summer stay at this Vail chalet. The hosts were very gracious and had great communication. The accommodations were just as described and fit our family of 5 plus grandma perfectly. This was a comfortable sanctuary to return to at the end of a day of hiking, whitewater rafting, or shopping in Vail. It's nestled into the hills in a great neighborhood, with a walking trail nearby. Would highly recommend.

Excellent Hosts!

Elfie and John were excellent hosts, very warm, friendly and knowledgeable! The property was immaculately clean, well stocked and well maintained. The location is great and close to hiking, Vail village and lots of activities. We will definitely be back!

Another Fantastic Stay!!

We had such a great experience in 2019 here that we decided to come back, and we were not disappointed. Elfie and Jon were great hosts as always, and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The place was very clean and had everything we could possibly need for our 5 night stay. It felt like our home away from home. The neighborhood is beautiful and quiet, and we enjoyed taking walks daily. Our 5-year old boy loved exploring the property and the neighborhood. The home was clean, had comfortable beds, and was so cozy. And Elfie and Jon are the friendliest hosts, always ready to help with anything we needed. We can't recommend this place enough and can't wait to come back! Thanks!
