The view is beautiful, it is also very conveniently located. We had an issue with the AC leaking and they promptly manager came to fix it but it began leaking again that night. The dishwasher was broken, the lights in the kitchen flickered and the lights above the table did not work. The bedroom doors would not close due to the floors being very un-level. There was something that looked like vomit in the downstairs bathroom next to the toilet. The porch is leaning and the posts are either broken or very wiggly which is extremely dangerous for being so high up. The floors creek very loud. The shower doors are all coming off of the tracks. The doors going out to all decks are very hard to open from the deck. This could be an amazing property it has a breathtaking view. As someone who has had vacation rentals I am only giving feedback to helpfully help with further bookings.

Good location and cabin

Nice cabin. Enjoyed our stay. Some minor issues: top rack on dishwasher was broke. Did not find foosball until we were checking out. Pool table was in bad shape. Other than that, cabin was great with plenty of room.. The whole family could sit at the large dining room table. Good view but the other cabins were very close. All in all, I would highly recommend.

Incredible views

My family of 11 thoroughly enjoyed this large, beautiful cabin with absolutely breathtaking views of the mountains. It held us all perfectly and provided a wonderful and comfy space for our week of family vacation. In addition, communication with Eden Crest was excellent and trash pick up was timely when requested. Check-in and out was very smooth as well. I would have given it 5 stars but there were several things that do need repair so I wanted to list those to let you know and help make the next family’s stay even better. The dishwasher upper rack is broken, jacuzzi in a main floor bathroom does not get hot water, several handles on foosball table are missing, pool table is very beat up including tears in the felt, no chalk for cues, electrical prongs are broken off and missing from one of the chairs in the lower level, bathroom door in one of the lower bedrooms does not stay closed, corner of rug in the main living room is torn/turned up which is a tripping hazard by the stairs, the carpets in the bedrooms could use a shampoo as there is a very unpleasant odor in one of them and cleaning was not great, there was a layer of dust on lamps and some surfaces. Please let me know if you have any questions. Thank you!

Wonderful stay!

We booked this cabin for a youth trip for our church group. The cabin was clean and offered a lot of activities to keep everyone entertained. We had to reschedule this trip because of Helene and the hosts were more than flexible working with us. Overall a great stay!

We were a group of 4 friend with families, with kids ranging from 3 to 15 yrs of age. The details of the house are so NOT nice. One of the bedroom had a horrible smell (smelled like a dead rat), with great difficulty we got in touch with the property manager on the matter. The house was not getting cooling( they tried fixing the issue, found some issue with the vent, i don't understand didn't they do inspection or what) we all got baked for the first night. which got fixed eventually. INSTEAD OF ENJOYING WITH THE FAMILY THE FIRST 2 DAYS I SPENT GETTING HOLD OF THE PROPERTY MANAGER ON THE ISSUES. All bathtoom doors were hanging, every time we have to push it in to stay put( infact once a door fell on a kid's feet while bathing,led to bleeding) To our surprise the house was without a vacuum. it was so hard the do the cleaning for our 4 day stay. the kitchen equipment had so many missing parts, because of which we couldn't use the choper and blender. very disappointed with the inside. But I must say the outdoors is superb, amazing view and community.

Family getaway

The house was very clean. We got in around 9pm just for an overnight stay. The views were fantastic. The house leans therefore some interior doors don't shut correctly and the shower doors tended to fall off their tracks.

The property is close to great but not quite. Location is great. I don’t really know if the problems or concerns we have were the owner or the property manager. Cleaniness: I realize finding good and dependable staff is difficult now but own your work. One of the lower level bathroom not clean. We found blankets unfolded or in any sense of manner, instructions mentioned iron that we never did find, nor did we ever find a broom. Dust pan yes, broom no. Houseware: although we appreciate your willingness to share you home with others - need some replacements. Only one skillet able to use for others looked like burnt residue that we even tried cleaning without success. Description indicated a set of bath rags/towels for the number of people it slept. Not so but has washer/dryer Entry rug has torn and fraying. Refrigerator- one of the drawers has a crack/broke. Hot tub: one of the perks that we sought was a hot tub. It does have one. But NEVER got warm. Property managers called 4 of the 5 days and although they answer every time and any hour and very nice and courteous their promises of someone coming to check never panned out. I did get a text that they were working to solve problem. What problem - you NEVER came to check on it. Structure: one review reported a hole in ceiling which has been fixed but damage can been seen. lower level and 1 bedroom sloping floors, BR door want close, playing pool was challenging Views were beautiful

Roomy Cabin with Potential, Requires Maintenance Attention

Pros: Spacious and Clean: The Grand Vista Lodge comfortably accommodated our four families with its 4 bedrooms, all of which were clean and well-maintained. Ample Parking: Plenty of parking spaces were available for all our vehicles. Kid-Friendly: The amenities (including the pool table, though needing attention) kept the kids entertained. Cons: Pool Table Needs Attention: The pool table was unfortunately in rough shape. It was old and required maintenance, with issues like missing chalk and poor cue grip. Safety Concern: A section of the balcony on the second floor was broken and open, posing a safety hazard. While the property manager addressed it promptly, it highlights the need for better overall maintenance. Structural Issues: The house itself creaked noticeably, and I even observed a slight tilt to one side. These structural concerns warrant closer inspection and potential repairs. Overall: The Grand Vista Lodge has the potential to be a fantastic vacation rental for large groups. However, the current maintenance issues, particularly around the pool table and the balcony, along with the observed structural concerns, detract from the overall experience. We recommend potential guests consider these factors before booking, and we encourage the property owners to address the maintenance needs to ensure the safety and comfort of future guests.

Lights did not work, room lock was not working.

Someone visited after reporting the problem but didn’t rectify. Had to use mobile flash for light. And tables as door holders. Other wise stay was comfortable.

Disappointed.

The house was not clean. Oven still had nasty fish smell from previous guest. Kitchen sink drains smell was awful. Lower master bathroom sink did not drain! If it had been cleaned (it wasn't) the cleaning service would have noticed and should have reported it. black scum along bottom of shower door. Bedding cover smelled musty/dirty. The sheets were fine. 2 bulbs out in the same bath. the issues in the bath were reported immediately and we taken care of 10hrs later. Drain completely clogged. outdoor deck had food leftovers that were spread about. Clearly a raccoon as they were present every night. But, if the unit was cleaned, the cleaning service should have noticed that the previous renters left trash on the deck. The refrigerator drawers were not clean. The list goes on. Unfortunately, we quit complaining because my family decided to clean & wash the dirt and move on to enjoy our stay, 1st family vacation with kids and grandkids. Also, the listing featured pool access. when we went to swim, we were told we needed to pay $5 a person. I called the management and they said that is not right as it should be included. The mgmt called back to tell us that this property owner did not pay for pool access. Eden Crest customer service was attentive and helped where they could. I would NOT reccommend this unit to anyone. I feel the management needs to contact the owner and the unit needs to be deeply cleaned and checked.

Not bad

Meat grill is leaking and not burning enough. Also we noticed low propane gas. We throw our chicken uncooked. Rain water leak in bath room. Both laundry machines didn't work for us. It didn't turn on. Other than this house has great view outside and comfortable space inside. Owner is quick to respond, easy access-check in and out. Hope owners will check all non working things mentioned above and fix them. Recommended.

A Very Nice and Spacious Cabin

My family and I truly enjoyed out stay. Every room had a full bath. The scenery is gorgeous! The kids loved all of the entertainment games and the pool table. If it was just me , I would have enjoyed just staying at the cabin. The sites such as Dollywood and Splash Country were very close. Our stay will be memorable! Thank you!

HORRIBLE

The roof had a hole in it and they just covered it up with plastic. You could tell it had been like that for a while. There was water damage in two rooms along with mold on the walls. You could see the water damage that even stained the light switch in the lower bedroom. The upper bedroom smelled horrible when we got there, which was by the kitchen so it smelled in there as well. Once we turned the air down the smell thankfully went away. The foundation is sinking so the whole right side of the house has sank, leaving none of the doors to close all the way. I contacted the company managing the house and no one got back to me.

Short trip

Cabin was great for us! Location was off, didnt realize it was ON TOP of the mountain, but views were amazing. We didnt get to spend alot of time in the cabin but it was great for our team and we all had plenty of room to rest and relax.

Beautiful cabin with lots of space. Great location and easy to find. Great customer service with property manager. Clean. Highly recommend and would definitely stay again.
