Riverfront, country living at its finest! Fishing for steel head, chinook salmon interest you? Wildlife include beaver, deer, geese, ducks, blue heron, eagles are often seen roaming around. Gourmet kitchen with Dacor double ovens. King size beds and crib available upon request. Professional landscaping with breath taking sunsets and views of the Umitilla river. The views can be enjoyed while bbq your favorite dinner or sitting by the outdoor fire pit which is our favorite place to hang out. Do you enjoy playing pool, air hockey or watching a great movie you’ll love my entertainment room. Two bikes are provided for your enjoyment. Hermiston has great bike trails, rodeo grounds and Saturday farmers markets. Tri-Cities 37 miles away and Pendleton only 28. If wine tasting interest you Walla Walla is only an hour away. The super well equipped kitchen was one of our friends most favorite part as he is a chef. The rooms are very comfortable and plenty of room to spread out. Our entire experience was a delight. We stayed New Year’s Eve through Sunday as part of our fishing trip for Sturgeon opener. Didn’t get a chance to spend time on the back deck as it was freezing temperatures in the evening. But the entire home is a great choice.

DeanWe were departed from the house by 9:00ish we all had a drive ahead of us. I believe we managed all the instructions from your email. Our stay was memorable and your lovely house made it very easy to all be under one roof. All the living spaces were spot on. I did appreciate your request to let you know of anything you should know about. I arrived ahead of my guests around 2:00 to do unpacking and prepare for their arrival. With so much food supplies it took a while. I could see that the housekeeper did have some things yet to do and I think she was not expecting anyone until 4:00pm so hope I did not over step by being early as I thought was our communication. On Wednesday evening we attempted to use the microwave and it began to spark and appear to not function properly. We used paper products primarily to help with cleanup and we do not think it had anything to do with what dishware was used. We actually had an option the next day to use a microwave from our family close, bringing it back to the VRBO. You should know we unplugged your microwave and left a note on it. We do not feel it was something we caused? The kitchen area was more than useful and accommodating. There was just one dish cloth for use--the only kitchen linens available. We did snoop in the laundry room and found other things that would help us the dish duty, just FYIAs far as I know everything else, like I have mentioned was wonderful and comfortable.Thank you--we had a great family holiday

Very comfortable, clean, warm welcoming, place to stay. The family enjoyed their self with the air hockey and pool table. Sitting out side with the view, had some deer in the back yard. Found my self in the chair next to the fire place all warmed up.
Right when we arrived.
We left the grandparents down stairs to enjoy a move nigh with the kids.
Grabbed my travel blanket enjoyed peace and quiet on the deck.

Spectacular place to stay. Clean rooms, super quiet and peaceful, plenty to enjoy right on the property and in the house. Super family friendly, but be respectful, it's a very nice home! Host(s) were quick to respond with some simple initial questions and it was hands off after.

Everything was absolutely wonderful! The hosts were so lovely and communicative. They even had the house ready for an early check in. A beautiful home and property, would highly recommend if you are ever in the area!

The house was amazing and exactly what we needed for the weekend! We were so busy with whiskey fest festivities that we unfortunately were not abke to take full advantage of what this house had to offer. I highly recommend this house to anyone looking to stay in Hermiston! The hosts were very easy to communicate with and were always quick to respond!

Penny and Dean are thoughtful and generous hosts who went above and beyond to help us during an unexpected emergency. Their kindness made a real difference.The home is fantastic—ideal for our multigenerational visit. We brought five grandchildren to meet their new great-grandchild, and there was plenty of space for everyone.The master bed was extremely comfortable, and the other rooms looked just as inviting. The decor gave the feel of an 1800s author’s retreat, complete with hunting trophies and character throughout.We enjoyed the game room, the spacious kitchen with a butler’s pantry, and the industrial-grade stove and double oven—perfect for cooking for a crowd.The back deck overlooks a quiet meadow near the river. One evening, we even spotted a beaver. My favorite part of the day was sitting out in the morning with coffee, listening to the river and the breeze in the trees.This home is perfect for families with kids, four couples, or anyone looking for a peaceful retreat. We truly loved our stay and hope to return.

Had a great time enjoying cozy gorgeous house and excellent view of the river, birds and deers. Plenty of room for a big family and the playroom can be fun for people of any age: pool, bar table and huge TV. We brought our own Nintendo switch so kids had a blast

Comfortable home in a beautiful setting

We needed a base of operations for a 3 day rock festival and this home exceeded our needs. Much larger than anticipated - we didn't need or use all the bedrooms. 4 bedroom home in a tranquil setting. The home feels secluded even though surrounded by homes. The backyard had a wonderful view of the river and we saw a family of deer for breakfast one morning. Shopping was close and easy to get to. Communication was easy and the host responded quickly. Home came with more items than we anticipated in the way of coffee, spices, etc. We did have a couple of issues which anyone does using items that are not there own but were easily figured out- such as how to turn on the tv and watch football. Living room/kitchen was a nice space for us all to gather together both to begin and end our long days at the show.

The location is ideal and we had a great time. Only thing I can recommend is cleanliness. We could tell it had not been cleaned and the WiFi did not work. Owner did offer to come figure it out.

Peaceful Beautiful and Amazing

It was a wonderful and peaceful experience. The property was beautiful. The river views were peaceful and amazing! The house had everything you needed and more. Wonderful Family Getaway in a Spacious, Well-Equipped Home

We had a fantastic stay at this clean and well-equipped home. The new decks provided a great space for outdoor relaxation, and the house was plenty spacious for our family. The rec room with a pool table was a hit, and we enjoyed grilling on the quality grill. The hosts were friendly, and their communication was timely and clear, making our experience smooth and enjoyable. Highly recommend!

Review of our stay

We enjoyed our stay in this house. We did experience a problem of a gas leak smell in the kitchen. A person came to check it out but could not find anything, but the odor remained. The toilet seat in the upstairs bathroom was not the right one for the toilet bowl, and the toilet was slow flushing. These are minor problems that did not detract from our stay.

Wonderful stay back in our hometown.

Lots of room for our family. We had extended family and friends over in the evenings. The kitchen was great for entertaining and the deck offered amazing views of the river. The home is well stocked with games and the pool table, corn hole and yard yahtzee were favorites as well. Our hosts were prompt to respond to any questions and make our stay amazing. We enjoyed this home so much we hated to leave.

Columbian Basin is where I raised my three children they’re married and have blessed me with three wonderful grandchildren. Currently I’ve been a Real Estate Broker for the past 8 years and have enjoyed living in Eastern Oregon for the past 36 years. I do a lot of hunting and fishing you’ll be able to enjoy some prized trophies which include a impala , wart hog, golden eyed duck, ring neck duck, albino pheasant and kudu from South Africa. I purchased the home 3 years ago thinking of retiring here. I found the love of my life who lives in Washington State. Now I find myself traveling with her enjoying Vrbo stays along the way.

From the minute I saw the house for sale and location, I knew I had to buy it! The views are incredible with abundant wildlife - the scenery changes everyday, It took my breath away!
