Scenic 7-acre mountain home, seasonal waterfall view, EV charger, dog friendly!

Hinterlander, built on the side of Linville Mountain, borders the Linville Gorge which is situated in Pisgah National Forest in the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains.

Our location provides amazing views and access to seven private acres to explore. The large windows and skylights invite the outside in and allow you to enjoy the scenic mountains in all seasons and weather.

Hinterlander is surrounded by patio and deck, providing 270 degree views of woods, sweeping mountain vistas, and a quiet kitchen courtyard. There's a yard for activities, including a landscaped horseshoe pit, a Bigfoot-themed corn hole set, and space to run around. Hinterlander offers many options!

Three gathering rooms for your family to spread out - Great room (with gas fireplace), Family room (with wood burning fireplace), and Downstairs Den.

Sleeps 6 adults, 3 children comfortably (King, Queen, Murphy Queen, Sofa bed Queen, Sofa bed full). The 9 person maximum includes children and infants.

The Blue Ridge Parkway entrance is 7 miles away making travel easy to nearby destinations such as: Asheville, Blowing Rock, Boone and Black Mountain. We're also 3 miles to Linville Caverns, 7 miles from Linville Winery, and right across the road from the International Disk Golf course.

My family and I had the best time! The house is beautiful and has everything you need to have great meals, great nights sleep and lots of sitting areas outside for relaxing! We also loved all the outdoor activities! Telescope, horseshoes and cornhole!!! This house has it all! It’s a number “10”!!!!! I rent quite a number of VRBO homes every year, this home is the best one yet!!! Thank for such a wonderful stay! We will return! Also, BEST VIEW EVER!!!!!

This is a beautiful modern, well furnished cabin with an amazing view and setting...However, our stay was really going great until Hurricane Helene showed up. We were suddenly watching the storm all around us and also without power, water and any means of cell service or communication. But we were safe and the cabin suffered little damage although we could see downed trees everywhere and a utility pole laid across the driveway. Thanks to the cabin's helpful owners and fantastic neighbors we were able to get throught the next few days stranded and finally leave a day later than planned. We hope to return...but not during Hurricane season.

Absolutely breathtaking views!

We rent a NC home every year for our family vacation and this home was even more stunning in person and exceeded our expectations. Extremely clean! I always find that rentals are not very clean but this one held to my standards which was nice so that I could just relax on day 1. Well stocked kitchen! Breathtaking view from the front living room and even better on the patio! Very pet friendly and our pups felt just as relaxed during the stay. Well thought out layout of the home, tastefully decorated and very well maintained. Gated community so we felt safe! Great communication from the owners and the handyman as well. Look forward to renting again next year! Thank you!

Gorgeous home!

The house is spectacular, clean and has everything that you need. The drive in is easy and stress free. Our family loved the long weekend and our pups were allowed to tag along. The host was very accommodating and answered all of our questions. Beautiful views! Would stay again.

Traditional Thanksgiving Feast

AMAZING HOME & HOSTS TOO !!Every detail is perfect ! This gorgeous kitchen is stocked with high end appliances & Clean dinner ware & Utensils, including pots & pans !! Relaxing Get Away

My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The view is amazing. The home was quiet, clean, well-furnished and well-supplied. It is a short drive to many wonderful hiking trails and mountain views, including Blue Ridge Parkway. We are looking forward to our next visit.

Elopement and Hiking Central

Beautiful home and patio to nature! We hiked so many areas, eloped on top of Hawksbill, even drove close by to TN to rent bicycles for the afternoon. We also cooked meals, enjoyed bonfires, and played games. Three great bathrooms too! Good for 4 adults, though a foam pillow topper for the murphy bed would have pleased the 24 year old (who did enjoy having his own space). Thank you!

Wonderful home

We stayed at Hinterland for a weekend getaway and birthday celebration. The house is gorgeous, very well decorated and maintained, has amazing views, great location close to many attractions. The hosts were wonderful and easy to reach. We loved everything about it!

Getaway Haven

Hinterlander has that "wow" factor upon entering the property. Ryan and Karen have nailed the ultimate getaway spot down to the smallest details. The view from the porch for morning coffee, or while playing cornhole or enjoying a glass of wine on the patio overlooking the mountains and running falls . . . breathtaking. We enjoyed cooking numerous meals as a group in the fully stocked and spacious kitchen. There was little we needed that wasn't already within the property. The decor throughout resonates "mountain getaway". So much to do around the area - zip lining, wine tasting, hiking, horseback riding, disc golf - endless options to enjoy. There's even a binder containing info on the property, local wildlife, things to do, that's all written in a whimsical, fun manner. We were sad to leave Hinterlander, but hope to visit again. Thanks Ryan & Karen!

Exceeded expectations

Exceptionally appointed, extremely clean, and beautiful cabin. Normally, pictures of properties and their surroundings exaggerate … not so with this cabin! The photos do not do it justice, nor capture the view. You will be pleasantly surprised! We could even hear the distant waterfall on the far hillside during quiet evenings and mornings on the patio.

What a wonderful place to stay!

We have stayed at other mountain properties for vacations -- this was absolutely the best! The view is wonderful, the house is gorgeous and this lovely home is equipped with absolutely everything we needed -- except a martini shaker and glasses (we made do!). The peace and quiet was only interrupted by birds and crickets. The weather was so lovely -- cool after the really high heat of Florida where we live. A couple of afternoon showers filled up the waterfall, which we could even hear! The feeling of rocking in the chairs on the porch has stayed with me - so relaxing and peaceful. We felt like we had fallen into the very best vacation ever. Thank you so much for sharing your home with us. (it's a good thing someone had booked it after we were scheduled to leave, or I would spend all my summer there!) Karen and Ryan - you "done good" with this one! Ron and Karen from Fort Lauderdale

Cabin luxury in the sky

A beautifully decorated and extremely well equipped contemporary A-Frame on top of a picturesque mountain. Three distinct living areas provide privacy. Perfect for a get-away-from-it-all recharging vacation, but close enough for a day trip to Biltmore Estate in Asheville or to shop in Blowing Rock. Local attractions include hiking to Linville Falls; visiting Winery, Caverns and Wilderness Area. Don’t miss a marshmallow roast in the fire pit on the terrace under a night sky full of stars. Ideal for a family get together Thoughtful, courteous and efficient hosts. Highly recommended.

Fantastic stay!

We really really enjoyed our stay at the Hinterlander. This cabin is second to none. It was very very clean and everything seemed almost brand new. The host were very helpful and accommodating. We highly recommend this cabin.

Wow!!

We have stayed at many rental properties over the years and this is one of our favorites. It was perfect for our family of five plus two of their friends. The owners were very responsive and helpful. The house was immaculate and well furnished. The kitchen had all the appliances you would need and they were good quality (high end pots and pans, Wolfe stove, etc.). We were able to cook some very good meals there. It looks like the house was completely renovated and decorated. The view from the main room was beautiful and there were a lot of things to do on the property - enjoy the scenery with a fire in the fire pit, play horse shoes, darts, etc. The location was great as well. Super private (there are no other homes nearby), but close to many outdoor activities and a great restaurant and neat general store. Communication with the owners was great and they did a very nice job with instructions on the house so you knew where everything was. We can’t recommend enough. We plan to come back again soon!
