To the guest: I’m really sorry your husband had to spend your family vacation in the hospital, that would take the joy out of any trip. We will be praying for his recovery. My wife is a cancer survivor so I feel for what you and your husband are going through. In response to the review: We acknowledge that there was an issue with the internet on the lower level (not the main floor) but we were not made aware of this issue until the day the guests were checking out so I was not able to fix that for them. We do not offer an endless supply of dishwasher pods, tide pods, paper products but we do offer the following and what we provide is listed in the check-in instructions. We provide the following: 2 rolls of paper towels, 4 dishwashing pods, 4 garbage bags, 6 laundry pods, 8 rolls of toilet paper (2 per bathroom), soap dispensers at every sink and 14 towels. It is possible that the maintenance team that cleans and supplies the house did not supply these items but we have had a perfect record with them since they’ve partnered with us 4 years ago. We received a call from the guest for the first time after check in on Friday at 8:01pm requesting more towels and I replied at 8:03pm that I would send the maintenance crew over with more towels. The guest did not reply so I called them at 8:13pm and they did not answer so I followed up sending a message asking them to call me and left my number at 8:14pm. The next communication was when the guest called me on Saturday at 12:57pm and I did miss the call but I called back at 1:03pm and spoke with her. She wanted more paper products and I told her I would send the maintenance crew to get them for her but she stated that she had already gone to buy some. The next time the guest reached out to me was on Monday night at 7:56pm when she requested a late check out for the following day. I did not see the message until the following morning and I called her 2hours before the usual checkout time to permit a later checkout but she said they had already left. I’m truly sorry if you felt the communication was lacking. My review of it shows that I tried to correspond promptly and offered to provide whatever they requested the entire stay. According to the next door neighbors, there were 10 adults and 5 children and the reservation was made with the expectation of 10 guests. The additional children are fine but that would explain why they may have been going through supplies more quickly.
